If you are looking for cheap things to do for the subie check out a company called "turn in concepts" they do bushing kits and other little tweaks that dramatically change the way the car feels. I think the kit I bought was "unabomber's ultimate rear end" which was awesome for $100.

On topic, I take it we are postponing... Next wedensday?

did you say mustang?

got any leftover mustang parts?

mine, trying to sell it to pay for school:

yeah yeah, hood is kinda rice, but it needs the clearance.

From what I can tell, that is a cervinis stalker hood no? I loved those. I ran one on my white mustang :)

Wish I still had it :(

Yeah, TIC carries good stuff. When I do my struts/springs I'll probably order Tokico D-Specs and Swift springs from them. Although for that price a set of coilovers isn't much more...Oh well, it'll be a while before I can afford any of that.

And Shark, that front bumper looks awkward as hell

EDIT: If we're posting pictures of our white cars now...

Finally got a 2nd RS '99 after cycling the UCD too many times.

Diabolic - In the process I picked up every car you were going to send me but 1 :embarrassed:

EDIT - After cycling the UCD a countless number of times searching for the RS '99, it has now popped up twice in two cycles.

EDIT 2 - Make that thrice in three cycles - I kid you not. (I am buying them all.)

EDIT 3 - 4TH CYCLE OF UCD AND IT IS STILL THERE.

EDIT 4 - Thought it was there again for cycle 5, but it was the Evo RS '00. That was like a bad game of roulette... Now gotta find something better to do.

Might give it a go tonight. I've started reading Game of Thrones (first book I have picked up in years) and actually quite enjoying it.

FATRAB- Which car do you still not have...I'll sell the rest off I've been keeping.

Oh and if anyone else is looking for UCD cars that cost under 100K, just ask. I cycle through hundreds of cars a night and completely cycle the UCD every 10 days or so. I find that after the 2nd time I see the Lexus IS200 RM Car, alwyas on the left hand side, is when the loop starts over.

Note: The only cars I know I've seen just once between cycles are the Toyota RSC and Pajero Rally Raid. If you find them and are up to trade...I'm interested.

DW - THe Prius G and the Miata 1800... Check my thread for the exact name.

I am pretty sure I have both those cars you want. I will send them to you unless you can get it sooner off someone else.

The only car I really want is the Bentley Speed 8 which has been most elusive (hardly comes up and when it does, I never have cash). Unfortunately it isn't tradeable.

Seriously, last night GT5 was playing a really cruel joke on me! I felt tormented :D Oh well, at least I can test out the torque diff now without blowing budget. I am hoping that will cure the understeer given the AYC is not available on the RS.

Well, it sounds like PSN will be up this week, though not sure if that means in time for Wednesday.

In the hopes that it will, I've played around some more in Practice mode. I'm still using Comfort Soft. Again, it is my understanding that Practice mode has more traction than online, so I figure Comfort Soft with extra traction will be better to get used to than Sports Hard with extra traction.

I can now consistently get 1.28s, and my best lap is a 1:27.250. That is spending the bulk of what I have getting my car up to 537 PP. I still have 4,100 Cr to spend. That will cover Engine Tuning Stage 1. That is tempting, but it is only 7 more HP.

I don't think I'll keep up with the leaders (at all this season), but I feel confident that this will keep me from being last.

so, i have this wed night off, so i also hope the psn comes back up by then.

i still havent tuned it though.

I've heard rumors it will be online this week. My car is ready to go. I have received parts lists from some of you but I understand if your cars are stuck "online". Similar to last week. PSN will have to be available by around 5:00pm on Tuesday to allow adequate prep time for a race on Wednesday. If for some reason PSN comes online Wednesday, we'd need a unanimous vote to proceed with the race Wednesday night.

if it comes up anytime before 8pm wed im down. ill just slap something on the car and call it a day. i dont have wed night off all the time.

Is this 60 laps again this race? I haven't messed with tire strategy at all. Practice mode doesn't wear tires, but I could probably start a single-make race with wear on. Haven't tried it yet.

I feel that over all this track isn't as bad on tires, save three little spots, where it can very harsh if I don't do it just right.

I'm touch and go to make it on time for the next few weeks (ie for the rest of the series) as I have standing appointments I need to attend with my wife; but I'm only in it for fun so as long I can make it before the race starts, I'm down.

(And no, the appointments are not marriage counselling sessions due to excessive car racing )

Yes I think we'll do 60 laps again. The lap times are a little bit longer than GVE but not enough to step it down to 50 laps.

I tend to cook the tires more on this track than other tracks. There are 3 places I occasionally get the tires into the red so I'll have to do some practice laps with tire wear on to see if I can make it the full 30 laps on one set of tires. I think the 2 pit vs 1 pit strategy will be close again. There was only a 15 second increase with 2 pits at GV-E for me, meaning you could gain back about half of the 2nd pit time by running fresher tires. Obviously if you are running close laps with someone else you'd want to push for the 1 pit strategy, but its good to know that number in case you get damage. If you need to run more than 15 laps a second off your non-damage pace, you might as well pit.

I need to look at my car. I haven't touched it since PSN went down and I don't want to mod it without seeing how it effects it online.

Got an email today that Sony has shut down SOE after discovering on Sunday that it, too, had been compromised. Not looking as good now that PSN will be up today.

Yeah. I have an SOE account from my days in PlanetSide. PlanetSide was a fantastic game (and I understand that there will be a 2). But it, like most other games in the Sony Online Entertainment umbrella, aren't really Sony games. They just use Sony's distribution and billing.

Sorry I didn't read every page of this thread. I'd love to get in on this if ya'll are running again.

I'm driving in the actual 24 hours of Lemons this weekend too, although I doubt that's an advantage lol.

Sure, when this season finishes, we will like make some minor changes and start a new season. At the moment we are obviously delayed until PSN comes back online.

I think making it premium cars only and raising the initial price cap would make next season more interesting. Just a thought.

Going premium is definitely a good option. Although, looking at some price brackets, there will be a few cars that can dominate given their low price and high pp values. The STIs and EVOs again plus the new Camaro.

Sounds like it would be the same, except everything would look better on track.

I think the problem has to do with the fact that the pricing is relatively realistic, and some cars are just plain good bargains in real life. It makes it hard since price doesn't always reflect performance.

Yeah, the only way to put people on the same performance level would be to have performance points be the starting point. Its pretty obvious at mygt.net which cars are going to give you an edge. Just sort by price then scroll down to see which cars have high pp. You pay 50,000cr for something with 420pp but lower on the list is a 495pp car that only costs 35,000cr. I'm not sure why the pricing is off. Maybe it is just related to real world prices. Afterall, the new Camaro does give you a ton of power for its price.
