Could you apologize rather than "apologise" You'll have the grammar mods here quicker than you think citing how you agreed when becoming a GTP member to use correct english throughout your posts. :gtpflag:

As for GTP rules "you are only allowed to make one defensive move to block a pass not weave down the track" (watch the back straight to see I went left and was blocked (legit move) then went right and was blocked again (illegal move)
This is true, but the back straight has some kinks in it and the guardrails aren't perfectly straight. Durandal was following the typical line through the narrow section from what I could tell, not weaving from side to side. Much easier to draft pass on the front straight, if you can get a good run on the final turn.

Actually, 'apologise' is correct on the other side of the Atlantic. Although there should only be one 'p' in there. Also, 'humbly' not 'humbley'. I think that's a town in Australia.

I agree with the front straight, but was very nearly alongside when he shut the door.(thats racing)

But do feel aggrieved that he thinks it was deliberate, as on the next lap i hit the same kerb and hit the wall so had to pit a second time. but still managed to finish 5th .

hope spelin is ok

i don't think anyone thinks it was deliberate...but since you were behind and failed to brake early enough, it is your fault. Bowtie was pushing hard on your outside for the position so its easy to get distracted when you've got pressure.

As for shutting the door, I watched the video a few times. It takes more of a speed differential to make a pass stick. You barely tapped him when he moved left. His move right was not in reaction to you but to the track which bends to the right through there. He grabbed the apex of the bend because you weren't challenging enough. Outside of the draft, I don't think your car had the power to pass. A door that was never open, cannot be shut.

Straight from the AUP:

*You will post all messages in English.
*You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

You're finding humor in this, which I can understand. I merely wanted to give you a heads up. Eventually R1600turbo will catch you. He's not a moderator, but he's everywhere and nowhere, but always in first :D

Thats an affirmative sir

R1600turbo is quick but i have seen him in my mirrors more than once

Glad to hear it was a good race last night, I'd love to join the series so I'll keep checking this thread to see if a spot opens up. I was semi-following the last series and it sounds like a lot of fun!

We only had 13 last night, and i know of only one who said he wasnt going to make it...so there may be room after all.

I laughed way harder than I should've at that Cujo, hats off to you. :)

Diabolic, I'm still not sure how you finished so poorly, since you left the accident scene well before I did, and then were running faster laps after we pitted, by all rights you should've at least finished ahead of me. Anyway, I am truly sorry about what happened to you, I knew I was in the wrong with that right after it happened even before you said anything.

James, I never meant to imply that you did it on purpose, I just thought, and others seem to agree, that even though you didn't intend to do it, it was still your fault, and since it ruined my race, I was a bit upset, as you might imagine.

Anyway, since it sounds like it'll be impossible to police wrong-parts-cheating other than testing out other cars with the parts they're supposed to have and comparing laptimes to the race, I'm just going to not save progress post race, because I don't want to cycle the used car dealer any more than necessary.

I just wanted to put that out there now, rather than be accused of cheating later. Since I have a backup car for testing, I'll probably be leaving my cars shared for just about the whole week between races so Huyler or anyone else who wants to can take them out and test them.

I had to pit again when I hit James parked car in exactly the same place. Two laps apart and the accidents were nearly identical. Again though, nothing to worry about. Its merely pre season. My back-up driver was behind the wheel

Anyone got practice times for laguna ?
you americans should be quick at home:)

only done a couple of laps and doing 1:53s

how dose this stan up against the quck guys:scared:

I thought I heard someone say they could break 1:50. I think I'll be around 1:51-1:53.

fyi morbo is galikazoid

this season i will have a different colour paint each race

:)

laguna seca let's go!

Tuesday series was epic, learned a lot, hopefully I can knock wii freak off his pedestal. Good Luck!

sub 1:50 with a drafting buddy is possible. I weened the MGF for 1:51-52 for 18 laps before tires started to go.

Bowtie I'm coming for you in my talon, I've got Casey Anthony in toe, she's prepared to choke a bit*h if called upon. Course hard to keep her away from the knives and tape . Lol

Looks like I am out for the season.. my PS3 only doesn't seem to last for more than a few hours after a rebuild now, I have one more thought on how to fix it, but it will take me some time to get the parts.

I guess I have to break down and go buy a new one.

Enjoy the racing all, I'm bummed I'm going to miss it.

That Talon doesn't have anything on me, and you can tell Casey Anthony to just stay home. She doesn't want me to damage those purple skinny jeans she's rockin.

The FTO is ready and waiting

*Bunta lights a cigarette* You.... *points at Cujo* HAHAHAHA. You couldn't finish top 5, if they gave you a three lap head start. Now go to the mountain and race your bath tub. Also, WTF are you wearing those purple jeans for?

Takumi, never one to back down from a challenge, races towards Mt Akina in his bathtub. Moments later he finds the on/off for the massaging jets...he hasnt been seen since.

On the way to Mt. Akina with Diabolic in tow, we see Kei Takahashi race the uphill section in his two stroke tricycle. We flagged him down, to question him at Takumi's disappearance. He told us that he saw Takumi and Iggy race up the mountain with no shirts on. He said, that Takumi had the water level to the rim of the tub, and drifted without spilling a drop. He hasn't seen them since. What skill the young mysterious street racer has...

I think we should have Initial D commentary throughout the entire race.

Don't think we can't! We should definitely start with stage 8 of Initial D, and publish it on GTP.

one week later

Dawn.

...the smell of smoke crept under the door like an ex looking for lost cds. And although it consisted of nothing more than a few wayward white streaks, it carried weight like a hammer, creating a resounding "thud" as is fell over the Takumi's face.

It was 4:00AM. An ungodly hour. Venturing out at this time was something that had become less about mastering the road or completing a job. It had been a about fulfilling a dream. About finally showing the old man that I was better than him.

---------------------

In the hall, an aging Tofu maker smirks. Taking one last drag from his endless supply of cigarettes, he enters with the momentum of lava, but he speed of quicksand.

"You know, I can hear you out there."

"What," Takumi replies

"I can hear you. Fullfilling dreams about being better than me. Seriously? See, thats your problem right there. Maybe....if you spent more time with the (hands Takumi a near full cup of water) and less time worrying about that (Points to a labtop opened to Tak's favorite tentacle hentai site) you wouldnt have to dream. You'd be living it.

Better than me...Twerp

"How did you hear me?"

"What? H-e-l-l-o, I'm the Tofu man. I hear everything, even the words you dont say."

------------------------------

Shaking off the nights rest, Tak rushes down the stairs. Grabbing the nearest keyset off the ring, he rushes out the door and towards his sanity. A precious white '86. What greets him though is hardly that.

It was 4:19 AM. A gentle rain began to fall and sitting atop four wheels before him was not his '86.

"Today and for the foreseeable future you'll be doing your rides in something a little different."

"Alittle different. A LITTLE DIFFERENT. Dad, its a freaking......"

Audience Particiaption Wanted!

PM you ideas, be it silly or serious and I'll weave the best ones into the article. If it goes well, I'll start up a thread just for this. Could be fun? BTW, the rules of time/space, fact/fiction need not apply! That being said, he could have a new M3 CSL in the driveway or dare I say Izuzu! We'll have to find out.

OR

Bowtie Puts Takumi in a Midget and we roll with it.

Well, I had suspicions before the race, but it seems obvious afterwards, the patch changed the physics. Before it I was probably in contention for a mid-pack finish, but after, despite no major crashes, dead last.

The previously stable Varietta seemed to want to spin itself if I so much as breathed on the throttle too early coming out of a corner, and it also seemed to be 10 times worse than previous on the 5 laps it takes to warm up tires, so by then I didn't even have a draft to follow. If I'd known it would be like this, I just would've run the FTO both nights. :(

The Legend Continues:

Takumi walks outside to see his new ride. The Daihatsu Midget II, had the rear coil springs completely removed, and the front suspension was cut with a torch, to get it as low as possible. Bunta had spray painted it Flat White, and stenciled "Takahashi Tofu Shop."

"Dad?" Takumi asks. "Why does this truck say Takahashi instead of Fujiwara?"

"Well, it's simple son." Bunta said. He takes a draw on his cigarette. "Ryosuke Takahashi is twice the man you'll ever be, and I've decided to take him under my wing as my new son/apprentice. I've even changed the name of the Tofu shop."

------------------------------------

Two days later, Takumi had finally made it over Mt. Akina for the second time and was on his return trip. The 14 horsepower engine was running 108 octane and had began to have a loud Lifter pecking at any rpm.

He stopped at the starting line, and boxed the small engine. He dumped the clutch, and the 12" tires barked and wheel hopped. The smoke from the clutch was so severe that you could not see the small truck.

4 minutes later, Takumi had finally hit 3rd gear. He entered the first left hander, and the back of the truck began to bounce rapidly. Not lifting the small engine revved to over 8k rpm. The cup of water had now spilled all over Takumi and made it look as if he pissed himself.

"Why didn't Dad buy the model that a cupholders?"

To be continued:

We hope you all enjoy reading these stories, as we absolutely love writing them. Maybe one day we'll have followers, but that's like asking for Rednecks to vote Democrat. We love feedback, and any suggestions are appreciated. Night boys.
