You view GT more for its car collecting aspects, it seems. Others prefer it to be more about racing. The two ideas can co-exist. I don't get the resistance to this.
I view it as a complete racing game that isn't designed for online-only leagues.
It doesn't have qualifying or a points championship, you can't setup your own opponents or events or even choose between race strategies. There's no mechanical failures or tire punctures or flags. Complete driving game? Sure. Complete racing game? Hardly. You have to go online and create your own experience if you want anything that resembles proper motorsports.
Still can't wait for my copies to arrive though, and meet up with my buddies online. 👍
I'm saying I agree they shouldn't be mandatory, because it's unfair for many. Me, myself, though, I like licenses to be mandatory. In GT3 acquiring licenses were mandatory to progress. So, to say that they should not be mandatory then say that you like how they were on GT3 is quite contradictory of your starting statement.
there was no need to even play them at all. Any thoughts?
I an totally against the way the licenses were utilized in GT5. I have gold on all of them (first gt with this accomplishment), but it only took one day, and there was no need to even play them at all. I feel like they should make them necessary to acquire like previous installments. I remember trying to get gold on all the licenses, and raging all too often...but the feeling of accomplishment was something that i felt was lacking in GT5 overall. So in summary, make them necessary and harder to get gold. Any thoughts?
I hate those things so much. Can someone please confirm that they aren't (mandatory) in GT6?
