I've had absolutely ENOUGH of this joke of a time trial, so I've decided to throw in the towel :yuck: Bring on Suzuka w/ Pro physics please, as I'm sure Eiger will be a complete joke as well. I really can't justify WASTING my time on this TT considering all the wall riders, and secondly considering that I have a wheel on the way from Fanatec that makes the DFGT look like a POS.

Anyways, have fun with this mockery of a time trial guys 👍 Good luck

Me too bro.. besides, i can't stand running laps in standard physics any more.
I thinking to upgrade my DFP to G25 also. 👍

Yea, standard physics is one of my biggest gripes as well. :nervous: I just can't stand how boring it is, really :scared: Might as well just be playing Ridge Racer, as there is nothing to win with all the wall riders anyway 👎 Even if you could score a top 3 by wall riding, I don't think it's worth tarnishing your reputation by doing so.

WALL RIDING???? if you hit the wall you get a penalty!! it takes tons of effort to ride rumble strips around last turn. but for your effort you never drop below 107. i hit the wall alot!! but i want credit for when i dont hit the wall and take the turn as fast as possible. im hoping i get something for free for my hard work. if you watch my lap from first person view you wont say its boring. i do prefer pro physics, and this race does show how crazy standard physics are.

Wow seems Iam not the only one that has seen the wallriding. After getting into I think in 62nd I was like "how are they still that much faster", then BAM wallriding. :grumpy: This time trial is just stupid for one, the wallriding and second, standard physics. Good Job Logitech:dunce:

Well you can't wall ride, you touch a wall and your time is scrubbed. I took a shot at it last night, and any tap of the wall dq'd my time. If you can take the last turn riding the rumble strip at 107, that would be where my time is lost, as I usually come in wide and hit a late apex. I'll try to keep it off the wall and see if my times improve.

Guys, you can't bang into the wall. But you CAN brush the wall, and your time is counted. That's the complaint here. It's been well documented with DQ's in WRS, here at HSR and at London in particular.

we had the same thing with the gtacademy when it started...all the front runners were cheaters/wallriders!!
a bunch of us called the organisation and complained again and again...and finally they took action and erased all cheaters/wallriders!!i suggest you guys do the same as Chadwicksracing and start calling/e-mailing...they should get the message and do something, but this only works when as much people as possible will take action!!....

spyrrari.

And here is the number again.

Dial '0' and talk to an operator, ask to get a message to someone in charge of the Logitech Challenge, or leave a message. Complain, the nice operator will not know what you are talking about but still, take action people.

Well... its friday, and im sitting first, with a comfy gap back to third lol. and im not complaining!!! neither would any of you if you were me. besides, i might need a new wheel after all that sawing. and why not a G25 instead of a mouse and speakers?

Great time BTW. I just looked at it. I will prob use your ghost tonight to improve my time. I am in 9th :)

I don't like the wall riding, but to be fast. It is a must.

and i dont care if they disqualify my time, as long as i get a few minutes to run a lap knowing the rules!!!!!!! if my time stays white it better count, or we should be able to submit 2 times.

let me know if you are beating me into the last sector...

Did 15 laps with my DFGT today (had to dust it off and get the playseat back together)and my best was lap 13th with a 1:19.38. It was clean but from watching the top 10 replays I'm losing a lot of time on the last turn before the straight. Happy to be in 28th although I expect that won't last. Wall riding aside I wish these contests would be 10-15 lap challenges instead of a single fast lap. Was fun though.

I agree, I don't care if its DQ, but give me a shot at a clean lap. If I know I have a lay a clean lap to win, I will certainly do that.

Actually your time is excellent. You are 100th ahead of my by Sector 1. and 400th by Sector 2. I don't think there is much more time out there..maybe another .050 here and there, but overall, your lap should stick for a while.

Haven't tried it yet but, this is in standard physics??? Seems somewhat anti climactic lol. I may give it a try anyway, although, not seriously if it requires wall riding to keep up

Wishing you lots of luck z06 from Upstate NY with your wall banging endeavors. :banghead:

It just doesn't seem right that there's advice being offered, here at GTP, on how to properly ride the wall. :dopey:

Hopefully someone from this forum wins the prize, anyways. :)

When I first heard about the event I said "oh no, high speed ring, people are gonna cheat" I was hoping that they would make some rules but they didnt so it seems like you have to ride the wall to be fast.
I think I am 5th right now(dearbornMI) I did get a time of 118:334 but with a bull penalty. See you guys on there.

Completely agree with you. :grumpy:

Will make that "Hopefully someone from this forum runs a clean lap and wins the prize."

My post earlier was intended to give an understanding of what we were discussing, NOT to give pointers on how to ride the walls.

Frankly, it's an embarrassment to me that any of our registry members would resort to these tactics.

But in the end, only your reputations are at stake. Do with them as you wish.

Yea it does seem stupid, but as PickleAhoy said "Free stuff including money and prizes seem to take out the worst in most people".

No its not right. I don't like it. I have even called SCEA about it. But, to be fast and competitive, you must know how to be as fast as the cheaters.

What difference does it make? I've already been on the high horse trying to get people on the 'call SONY' bandwagon. However, everyone seems just like roll over and play dead when action needs to be taken. It makes no difference in this competition or this world today, tomorrow or the future. I don't ever wall ride in TT as a normal thing. I have even DQ'ed my self from events because of touching the wall. If PD was really concerned about wall riding, they would have made the penalty more severe for wall touches, instead of causal brushes.

You may disagree with me, but right now, its what you got to do to be fast. I am running this competition on the assumption that PD is not going to do anything about "Wall riding".

You are in the United States region, why not call PD and Logitech to do something that can make a difference? I just don't get why the majority of us that say that its such a bad thing to wall ride; just stand there and do nothing about it. So instead of saying how embarrassed you about for ME telling someone how to wall ride, then pick up the phone and make a complaint about the Logitech Challenge.

EVERYONE PLEASE CALL SONY.

may i point out no one is cheating or wallriding on tracks that sony and PD didnt make?? anyone ever think the tracks were designed to see who can push the limit, or in the HSR case, push the rumble strips? in most replays you can hear people hitting the wall, but not in mine, no rev limiter braking either. and my last sector time isnt the fastest. i am leading because of the S section. all this complaining is why i dont have a GTP tag. i love this website, but its almost like politics(vomitting).

everyone needs to post their lap time upto the last sector, no prizes, no nothing, especially complaing... im sure some of you non- wall riders can beat all top ten online times to that point.

AGREED 100 %. A clean lap victory will send out a message to those who watch a replay from a GTP'er take it all with such a lap.

Don't send a message like " who cares,I'm gonna win at any cost " while wearing your GTP tag. It's against what I feel are GTP standards of racing. You did not earn your GTP tag by wallriding did you ? So why do it now ? Don't lower your standards to theirs, keep a good name for yourself and this forum, PLEASE.

I just posted a lap that is clean. 1'18.601 If would have wall rode, I would have been in first place. Tenth place, for not, check it out.

Thanks

EDIT:
I looked it the replay 6 times, and it very close to being dirty. When I get to the apex, I am just not sure if I just went into the ripples or I brushed the wall.. Anyone care to look for me?

I cant't believe you are actually trying to say your not cheating when you wall ride the last corner. You're not riding the rumble strip, YOU ARE RIDING THE WALL:dunce: You can see the front end bounce off the wall. This is in my top 10 of the dumbest thing Ive seen ever.

Also Chad good lap time.👍
