Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

@viperman3 on PC you can just leave the angle set to 900 in game and on the wheel and it’ll take care of per car matching to get 1:1 for you.

@Skills the other piece of advice is to reduce the brake force setting so you don’t need to press as hard to get max brake output.

Did PD Z remove the FFB cap with the latest update to GT7? I'm seeing the full 11nm FFB now.... But I also set the dampener way higher than I used to use, I think I have it at around 60 right now. Not sure if the increased dampener is why I'm getting the full FFB or if PD removed the cap. It definitely feels much better now!
I did a quick Test with my G Pro and GT7 today. I didn’t change any settings and couldn’t notice any difference. Max Torque was about 6,7 NM.
What settings do you use?

Full strength in game and wheel, ffb filter on auto, trueforce at 80-100, dampener either off or between 60-100.

It seems to stay at around 6 or 7 during a normal turn, but will go up to 11 if you turn the wheel more than normal.

Maybe the increased torque is because you have the dampener set very high. It's trying to smooth out rapid movement by adding resistance. Do you still get peaks of 11Nm on low settings (or off)?

I'll have to check again with it set low but pretty sure it would peak at 11 with it off.

Sucks not being able to see the OLED wheel screen data in VR.... Would be awesome to have a little screen in vr so I can see the pedal moment and torque values.

I get the peaks even in low... But outside of the normal range of the wheel. You pretty much have to turn it fully clockwise or counterclockwise to see it get that high... It's before max rotation but not by much. Maybe that is just s built in safety feature in the wheel.

For now, I'll just stick with a high dampener setting because I don't like it when the wheel gets too loose in a turn.... High dampener still gives me enough feedback to let me know when I'm about to slide. But IDK, I'm torn on which way to go since that cap does still seem to be there

Hello, I have the Logitech G Pro Racing Wheels Ps5 and Logitech Pro Pedals. I have DRIVEHUB and I would like to play on my Xbox SX. Could someone please tell me if there is currently any way to play on Xbox SX with my G Pro Ps5 version steering wheel without putting the wheel in G923 Compatibility Mode and with TrueForce running.

Thank you very much for helping me!!

If you go back a few pages this was discussed. A beta version was just released for drivehub that should allow your series x to recognize the pro wheel as the pro wheel. I actually need to try this out myself and see how forza feels now.

Regarding trueforce, that's totally up to the dev to implement. You can find a list of games that support it on logitechg.com and forza fm23 does not at this point, which is incredibly lame.

It supports trueforce api for RPM leds.

I'm trying to decide between the G Pro and the GT DD Extreme. Already have the CSL Elite pedals with LC that I use with a T300 for GT7. Have previously owned and used Logitech Dual Force Pro, and the G27. Really liking the new G Pro wheel.

My dilemma is that I want to get into 1 eco system, but fear the Logi LC brake will disappoint. I prefer a fairly stiff brake with short travel. I may just get the wheel and use it with my current CSL Elite LC pedals. But I really want to avoid mixing and matching Logi with Fanatec, even though I hear it works well with GT7.

Any advice? I know...first world problems.

I don't know how the Fanatec will feel without it's full force support... I'm guessing it will be regular FFB but more powerful. I do wish I could take more advantage of the 11nm offered by the G Pro in GT7 but that's up to PD to fix.

Even without the full 11nm, I would much rather use the G Pro because of trueforce. Being able to feel the road and every bump and rumble strip is way better than having a stronger but boring FFB.

I don't think you will be disappointed by the brake. The load cell can be adjusted up to 100kg and you can change the inserts to get less play if you want. I messed around a little bit yesterday with the inserts and found that you can use a combination of inserts that will give the pedal very little play... I like some travel in the pedal so I went back to stock form for now.

The gorgeous leather G Pro wheel is a big plus. The fact trueforce is working is another plus. I'm sure there are brake mods becoming available. May pull the trigger on the G Pro wheel purchase.

The wheel feels great! I have the pro wheel (pc only) and love the way it feels. I play in VR most of the time, and love that I don't have to turn off the vr to use most of the buttons... They are all in really good spots so it's easy to get the muscle memory to remember where they are. The passthrough mode on the PS VR2 is not very good, but it's still good enough to be able to make wheel adjustments without having to take off the VR.... I like to play around with the different options while doing the grind races to try and figure out what I like the most. I like a heavy wheel so I can tell my wife that it is a workout... She's much happier about me playing since it is a bit of a workout instead of just playing a game lol.

I don't know if the pro wheel feels any different from the PS or Xbox version, so I can't comment on that. It will be awesome when Logitech releases new wheel and shifter options... A universal hub that would support other companies wheels would be amazing but I'll be kinda shocked if that happens.

I'm hoping that companies like PD and others support the Fanatec full force because trueforce is absolutely amazing and it needs competition so technology like it will become a standard option for all future wheels.

I went with Logitech partly because of being a long time user of their stuff, driving force gt, g29 and now pro wheel, along with keyboards and mice. But the biggest reason is because of the fact that Logitech still seems to care about the customers (though not perfect, but impressive for how big they are). I just couldn't justify buying from Fanatec... I'm sure they make a great product but... No need to finish this sentence lol.

I've had to deal with logitech customer service a couple times over the last 20+ years and they are definitely amazing and very focused on customer satisfaction. It's definitely on my mind right now considering the investment I'd be making.

When is the last time you saw any Fanatec rep talk to the users about the tech and help them troubleshoot? Pick almost any page on this thread and you will see @LOGI_Rich working hard to help with troubleshooting, explaining how things work and giving honest and educated opinions.

That alone tells me a lot about the culture and overall work environment between those 2 companies.

I also follow Logitech and Fanatec on Reddit. It's the same thing over there. Not sure if he's the CEO or a sales rep, but I've only seen 1 person from Fanatec ever talk over there... And it's just for them to say a blanket sorry and give some kind of bs excuse. Night and day difference over at LogitechG. I've seen Rich help with wheel stuff and saw a few others that help with keyboard, mice and other products.

Have 20+ years experience with logitech and agree their service culture is customer centric.

I emailed fanatec to get help with finding the correct wheel for GT7 because they have sooooo many options. No reply, still no reply years later lol. So G Pro it was.

Only reason I didn’t want to go Logitech was my experience with the G29 and G923 infamous RATTLING!

I don't have GT DD Extreme, but I have Logitech G Pro for around a year now. Would I buy it again over Fanatec? I have my doubts.

The standard rim is quite good, but we are still yet to see any accessories. Pedals are decent, but nth more than decent (I haven't tried the ones from Fanatec, so I can't compare, but Fanatec's are considered better from what I've seen). There is no full FFB in GT7 (I only play GT7 and it's a waste we only get max ~7nm and not full 11nm). Trueforce is a game changer, but Fanatec also plans to add its equivalent. On top of it, Fanatec has way better ecosystem & is a company that is fully invested into sim racing. We have no idea if we will be stuck with only one Logitech rim, no dedicated shifter (the one for non-pro Logitech is a joke), no handbrake. The downsides of Fanatec are quite obvious and already mentioned - terrible customer service and constant availability issues. The price is also higher for Fanatec and we have no idea how good their Trueforce will be and in which games it will be available.

One year ago, G Pro was an obvious recommendation for GT7. Right now, it's hard to fully recommend it because DD Extreme, on paper, looks like a superior wheel with a way better ecosystem. However, until Fanatec release its Trueforce equivalent, we have no idea how good the wheel truly will be.

The best thing imo if someone is not in a rush to purchase is to wait. If I needed a wheel right now, most likely, I would get Fanatec and not G Pro. It looks like a more future proof wheel - way better ecosystem, more powerful true force (at least on paper), over 2x more FFB (7nm vs 15nm in GT7), better pedals.

@imprecis unless pd changed it recently, the dd extreme is also limited to the same ffb cap. My understanding is its globally game wide, not wheel specific.
Another 2 points to consider imho, double the warranty with Logi. Also, my presonal opinion is that the g pro will likely last longer overall with less issues, if their track record holds true anyway. Remains to be seen on both sides though.

Personally im quite happy with my decision to go L over F, but if a complete eco system is what someone is after. Then Logi’s “eco system”development thus far should be telling enough. As big as logi is, they’ve certainly had more than enough time at this point to come out with something, even a freakin announcement. Hell, they won’t even sell the xbox rim by it self, a product that already exsists. I mean there could be something in they’re licensing agreement that prevents them from selling an xbox wheel that “could” work on a ps base, who knows. I would bet there is no motivation to even come close to the larger eco systems. Im sure a shifter and f1 style wheel is coming. But id guess thats about it, maybe a handbrake. For those sitting on the fence, likely a waste of driving time. 🤷‍♂️

I've read that DD Extreme has full FFB in GT7. Someone measured it.

It does, but in high downforce cars with soft tyres you'll get crazy oscillation on the straights - it's almost undriveable to the point of being lethal. You can replicate the same kind of behaviour on Pro Wheel by switching it to G923 mode.
