Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

I enter this thread from time to time, and I still come across posts about faulty devices. I had that steering wheel in my basket, and I was just about to pay for it. Good thing I saved myself from potential future problems and didn't buy it again.
Go for it, you wont regret it. I was on the same boat a month ago. But, let's say 2-3 problems here, 2-3 problems on YT, and 2-3 problems on some FB groups, does not make the wheel bad, if we have to be honest. There is nothing on that planet with 100% success rate in production.

@LOGI_Rich unfortunately this is the type im working with and wont be upgrading any time soon. It does have another hole to bring the main support arms down a bit, which would effectively give me my angle (might be too down). However the adjustment is more than i would like, and i would have to extend the wheel deck arms out quite a bit further. With the weight of the g-pro i fear would pull the stand over too easily. I’m less concerned about the bottom of the wheel stand plate, and likely with a fender washer or two would probably be fine. If i had to i could always grind or dremel a shorter spacer/ stand off to better match the underside. Also i race from the couch, so making a stabilizer out of square tubing to insert in the bottom of the stand isn’t an option as the back of the stand basically sits against the bottom frame of the couch.

I think this might help you. This is my GT Omega "rig". You can see the Logitech gloves on the wheel. They gave them to me for free.

They gave free gloves with every wheel back then, even with G923. Now might be different....

@LOGI_Rich do you have any info regarding the yesterday's F1 23 patch and whether it fixed the FFB & TF on PS5 for Logitech G Pro (and other Trueforce wheels)? I heard some worrying feedback from users saying that it either didn't fix the issue or even caused loud and strange noises coming from the wheelbase. Not sure whether this happens for everyone, honestly didn't have the time to test the patch yet. I was wondering how it's looking on your side and whether you have a bit more info if the issue still exists and if so, what are the chances it'll be resolved soon?

I'm well aware that this is a problem with the game and not with the wheelbase, but EA is not really responsive and wanted to check whether you have a bit more context on the issue. Thanks!

Anybody here already tried the GT v1.35 upade? If so, how the FFB now feels? It's it still limited to about 5nm or?

The feedback you’re seeing is mainly from G923 owners where Trueforce is now actually working fully and the wheel is producing road noise and something that’s much more accurate to what a rumble strip sounds like when you drive over it at speed. They’re not used to those things happening!

Unfortunately there’s no option in the game UI to adjust the gain on Trueforce Audio at the moment; for Pro Wheel owners that’s not an issue due to the settings on the OLED screen.

The only issue for Pro Wheel owners on PlayStation at the moment is that the game isn’t producing the full level of torque that the wheel is capable of - this has been fed back to EA.

Thanks so much for the input! Hope the weak FFB issue will be addressed soon from the EA's side.

One more question: as a temporary solution, does it make sense to increase the in-game FFB strength to 150? Or could it cause some artificial clipping of the force feedback (if it's clipped to some lower value by the game)?

I tried the Fisherman's Ranch on GT7, because of the new races added. LOL, the wheel feels amazing, though I hate dirt tracks in GT from the very beginning... . If you haven't tried them so far, just give it a go, you'll be surprised :)

Hey guys, weird question. Does anyone happen to have a screenshot of the free glove promo, preferably from the cdn site?. My order came in today 😁, but no glovies. And of course support is claiming to not know anything about it and asking for a screenshot. It was on preorder cuz the ps version was out of stock, and yes i bought wheel and pedals. Didn’t think i needed to screenshot it with Logitech. Should have known better.
Hey morfei1 thanks for the pics. Yeah it was something about being a preorder. I think their may have been a checkbox on the order page. I may have forgot to check it when i finally ordered. I waffled back and forth for a couple hours before actually pulling the trigger, lol.

But actually came on here to to say. I thought i got stonewalled by the support bot. But turns out it forwarded a support ticket up to someone else. No more input from me. But they're shipping out a pair. So thats pretty sweet. Nice job Logitech!

I honestly dont know if ill like driving with gloves. But it’ll be real nice to try um out without having shelled out again. Haha. Plus really at this price point. Its a nice little touch.

I was racing on it. Felt good in a gr.3 with 7 in game torque 11 on the base. But only really night 2 racing with the pro, so no comparison from me. Still feeling everything out, how i like my set up. Also in VR so no idea what the base was saying.

I did try and turn down TF Audio while paused in a offline race, from 25-20. But then lost all TF. Had to close the game and reopen for it to come back. Tried starting a fresh race, no change. So I don’t know how well the adjustments on the fly are dialed in yet.
Freakin amazing racing with the pro wheel coming from a g29. Can handle the car so much better, feels amazing.

Just a couple of hours! I think I spent a couple of months waffling. 😄

You'll probably like gloves, I know I do. It gives you a better grip and also protects that expensive wheel rim from sweaty hands.

I've never driven before with gloves. Now, since I have them with the wheel, I never drive without them. It's nice Logitech will sent you gloves, I think you gonna like them.

My TF was setup to 100 in the base and 35 in the game at first and I've never bother to try something different since then. It's OK for me nice sub effect/feeling

I also came from G29 and the wheel is amazing in GT7 and ACC both on PC and PS5. I feel much more confident and doing less mistakes.

Real pleasure to drive with it.

Ha, not really. I actually decided i could never justify it when it came out, but really only ordered cuz it was a pre-order, wasn’t supposed to ship for a month. Had a bit of cash from some back pay contract kinda thing. Figured i could cancel the order if i chickened out in the end.

Oh well. Its freakin amazing. Absolutely love it. Amazing with vr

I'd planned on a Fanatec DD Pro and a DD1 prior to the DD Pro's release.

A few seconds into reading the announcement of the G Pro I was sold.

Didn't care that it was going to cost more than the DD Pro. Figured out later that to get the V3 pedals, metal QR (let alone the QR2 at a later date when it was finally released), a higher-quality rim and load cell tweak kit would've cost the same or more anyway.

My original Driving Force ($80 AU retail back in the day) still works and I've seen G25s survive all sorts of treatment, so between the price, my Logitech experience and the great service it was absolutely a no-brainer.

Haven't regretted it for 1 second. Thing performs like a champ.

I had Logitech DFGT in the GT5 times - no problems at all for about 2-3 years. Last year, I went with G29 as a temporary solution for GT7 coz, Fanatec was out of stock and practically I did't have any other option. I was not qute sure I want to go with Fanatec. G29 had about 2000+ hours of driving for about a year in GT7, ACC and AC. No problems except the accelerator pot failed and the PSU also died. I put on the pedals AXC mods. The Wheel and the modded pedals still running fine.

Hope G Pro will serve long with less problems.

Well the pot won't fail you this time 'cause it's a HAL sensor and not a mechanical resistor, so there's that.

Assuming you get the pedals as well...

I don't have the pedals yet. They were pre-order at the time I was ordering the wheel. I'm using G29 pedals with the racing adaptor and also G shifter, though I'm happy with that combo so far, I do plan to get the pedals later this year.

Step by step to enjoy the toys more, now waiting for my bass shakers.... :D

Right?. Was gonna go dd pro, it was a lot closer to my budget. But honestly after looking into it a bit more. Trying to filter through the Fanatec fan boy reviews, I actually started getting angry watching the bias in the reviews, skipping or ignoring features, comparing pedals for 1.5x the cost of g pro or more. But their reported track record, that damn hideous plastic wheel with bs qr, and whats with long exposed pins inside the qr, garbage!. Wasn’t even in the running. The Moza stuff looks interesting, but i need the console compatibility. On delivery, exactly the logi quality ive come to expect. I will say now that i’m racing mostly in vr, it would have been nice if the buttons were somehow a little more tactile, but ill memorize them in time.

Only knocks i can see so far (hopefully i dont get the click, no pun intended) the plastic base is large, though metal plate for what matters But i also understand that active cooling and a transducer have to go somewhere, and is definitely a plus. Also my Left Rotery switch is looser than the right, like the detents are softer so i knock it from time to time, but it works fine. The 4 way joystick is a little tall when palming the wheel, but nice to see it’s aluminum not plastic (no one mentioned that in the reviews. I’m nitpicking i know. Now if they just hurry up and get wheels, handbrake, shifter out there, we can stop hearing how logitech only has one wheel and no ecosystem 🙄

I didn't know the joystick was aluminium, interesting. I'm always scared not to break it. 🤔

The old shifter works for me with the racing adaptor. I use it from time to time but never for competitive racing but just for fun and immersion with old cars. I don't care about wheels. The stock one is super fine for street cars and GT3 cars racing. The new button layout is very conviniont for me.

I have no problems with the base size. It perfectly fits where it should be. It's easy to clean and looks beautiful.

I'm trying to imagine what's is to clean Fanatec DD Base every week from dust for example....no go for me.

Moza, no matter how big and amazing their ecosystem is, you have to pay taxes and expensive shipping and the end price is not so attractive anymore. The lack of console support is no go for me. I can't limit myself to just PC racing with my own money.

You know, everybody wants fansy shifters and wheels, super ultra premium quality but how many are ready to pay the price....?

On a $1500 wheel, never buying an upgraded wheel.

Give it time 😁😂
Nope. That’s the limit for me. I may get the pedals yet but I will not be spending more on a different wheel. What can they possibly offer that would make me want to upgrade? If they offered the same wheel with backlit buttons it would just piss me off and wonder why they didn’t do that in the first place. Haha. As for different shaped wheels, no thanks. Round works for me. They can try to blow my mind, but the wheel costs enough I don’t want to be paying even more money.

Well some really like the formula or gr.3 wheels. I wouldn't mind a fully round rally wheel, slightly larger diameter for rally and drifting. I'm mostly joking around, the stock wheel is pretty good. Obviously can't speak to you personally, but often folks look for a refresh after some time. Honestly I'd be surprised if we saw more than a formula style wheel from them. I doubt logitech intends to compete with the larger ecosystems in that way. But they have partnered with Mclaren so I'd expect to see a licensed alternative. Would be nice if they offered the Xbox stock wheel separately. So those with the ps base could have dual compatibility console wise.

Hey all,

I'm new to the forum, I've bought the wheel and pedals set around March. Everything was going well, I really love the feel and the feedback, but I have noticed that my d-pad stick is not always registering. At the beggining I thought it's GT7 issue, as there always were some problems when registering changes using the scroll wheel. But the issue persist even in the playstation menu.

Basically the 'down' direction on the joystick is not always registering, especially on light clicks. The d-pad does physically move and click, but the signal is not send. When I use a bit more force it sometimes does work. No such issue with 'up' 'left' and 'right', those are always working, even with light touch. I attach a sample video:

Is there anything I should try before contacting support? I'm kinda sad that I will be without the wheel for a prolonged time.

@LOGI_Rich has anyone ever encountered this issue? When I do contact support should I forward youi the ticket #? You have been really helpful for me in the past (on Reddit) when there were shipping issues with the pedals, and I really hope it will not be as problematic this time around :)

@Blaze_409 you said that the whole process took a month, but how long were you actually without the wheel? I wonder if living in Poland (where you send the wheel) might give me some time advantage :)

I have a chance of buying a logitech pro racing wheel and pedals from my cousins friend in England but I live in Canada I can get both for $1400 cad but was wondering if I would need a different power supply or just the north American plug to plug into the power supply I want to upgrade from my logitech G923
Thanks for any info

Interesting - on my replacement wheel, all of the Profiles Strength is set to 5.5NM where as the factory default is suppose to be 5NM - even if I do the reset profile on GHub which is 5NM, the wheel setting remains at 5.5NM unless I change it directly on the wheel. The firmware was also up to date so I am beginning to wonder if this is a refurbished wheel Logitech has given me as my replacement for the faulty one I had for only 1 1/2 months!

The Force Feedback also does not feel as strong as the last wheel even despite setting the same settings.

Another user on this forum also got a replacement recently - I wonder if they have a similar thing with the profiles default set at 5.5nm instead of 5NM and the firmware already being up to date?
My replacement also had 5.5Nm as factory default. This sounds normal.

I think it was roughly 14 days without a wheel. It took about 7-8 days to get from USA to Poland. Then another 7 days between when they approved my product replacement and when the wheel was in my hands but the wheel was shipped from a warehouse in the USA so it depends on where your wheel is shipped from. It will probably ship the same way as when you bought the first one.
