Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

I just got my replacement G Pro (PS version) after experiencing the creaking sounds on my previous wheel/base and went through G HUB to update the firmware. I noticed the fan was nunning at a very low RPM after connecting the power brick but not powering on the base unit with the START/STOP button. I thought maybe after the firmware update the fan might behave differently. Anyways, got the firmware updated successfully, but the fan behaviour didn't change. While the base is plugged to the power brick the fan keeps running at a very low RPM and when I use the START/STOP button to power up the base, it spins up then turns at a low RPM. When I power down the playstation, the fan spins up again and then shift into the same low RPM as before. Base if off (no info on the OLED screen) but the fan just keeps running. Is this what others are experiencing?

@LOGI_Rich any thoughts? If this "normal" fan behaviour as I didn't play any FFB games (GT7, ACC) after firmware update?

The fan keeps running for about 15 minutes after I turn the wheel off. Seems normal to me.

Welcome to the club! Best wheel and pedals for GT7 in my opinion.

I also had the Momo! Loved it. And like you, went from Momo to G Pro after many years.
Ditto, welcome to the G Pro club. You are absolutely correct, the G Pro wheel and pedals are the best we have for GT7, I love mine. I tried the Fanatec GT DD Pro and CSL pedals with load cell, but the G Pro wheel and pedals are better in almost every way, including FFB and Trueforce, plus the pedal feel and adjustment options. I recently decided to use my G Pro for both iRacing on PC and GT7 on PS5.

The only part you are missing is the PSVR 2 so you can race in VR. LOL!

Yes, this also worried me but Rich said it's normal.
Yeah it's too cool the internals before shutting it down. It's always best to leave it running for a little while, particularly if you've been running a higher torque session. Helps with longevity of the components.

I'm not sure why the fan kicks in when you initially switch the power adaptor on though, that seems a bit unnecessary. Although I suppose it assumes you're going to power up the base anyway.

Hi everyone,

Got my G Pro wheel, Pro pedals and Playseat Trophy LE a couple of weeks ago and I must say that this setup is AMAZING !

The FFB is smooth, detailed and highly precise and Trueforce is really a game changer. The rig is the perfect compromise between F1 and... hum, everything else.🙃

That said, I noticed that in the GT7 game settings...

When I want to check the weel and pedals, everything is workimg (steering, throttle etc) except when I shift gears. In game it works but in the settings it doesn't.

One last thing. in the Tokyo expressway (GT7), when the car passes over this kind of strip...

I feel no feedback through the weel. though I hear the sound.

Is it the same for you guys ?

Thanks in advance

Wow, 45 seconds in and the first bs gets laid on thick. "The only Wheel that's Ps, pc, and x-box compatible". I really hope Logitech doesn't give him too much money. 😂🤣😂🤣

@TegMattW In compliance with standby power requirements, it will consume less than 0.5W.
Rich, I havent the ability to quickly scroll through this thread, so apologies if I'm being a pest ...

I am getting no FFB on ACC when in PC mode. On PS5 its fine, and the same goes for GT7. I've tried the two different compatibility choices, and uninstalled ACC on PC, updated the latest drivers, etc.

Can you (or anyone else kind enough to offer assistance) help?

@LOGI_Rich Ok sorted, it was this thread Logitech G Pro Wheel issues that worked, There's no username so I can't give him the credit. Turns out it was just a case of uninstalling and reinstalling G hub, guess for long time users of G hub it's the last thing you would think you would need to do.

Is there anyway of getting this solution as a sticky at Logitech.com FAQ as I was seriously thinking of returning this if not sorted?

I now see what the fuss is about this wheel there is far more information being transmitted through the wheel and as a long term fanatec direct drive wheel I'm convinced Logitech is onto something and I don't know what I'm gonna do with my thousands of pounds of fanatec wheels and paddles, ebay anybody!

I managed to scroll through a little, and found this. Thanks, Optical10. I'll give this a go!

can PS5 and PC users please provide your Wheel Base Settings and In-Game settings for ACC. I'm having difficulties with detecting wheel grip feedback when traction is getting loose. Thanks

Sometime I lose all ffb and I can't fix this no matter what. Only if I change track it comes back. This must be a GT7 bug?

Is there a way to fix it other than changing race?

It seems like no one wants to help anymore... 😪

@Igano it has never happened to me. Even during very long session.

That being, an update (GT7) is coming on thursday. Wait and see...

I'm not sure how to hyperlink, but here goes, from Logitech themselves:

FWIW, I'm getting good FFB on PS5 in ACC, but ZERO FFB in ACC on PC.

It is the weekend, Rich needs some time off. 😉

I'll have a go.
@Supercededman - seems to be sorted out. Edit: or maybe he isn't! I'm PS5 only so can't assist, sorry.

@Letsrace69 - interesting question. I don't have GT7 so I'd say turn each one down individually and see if it has an effect.

@WielkiChlop - PD seems to do their own thing and when they want to. Unfortunately Logitech don't have much control over this. So the answer is probably, no.

@viperman3 - Super has posted the recommended starting settings. I'll make a note of mine later. Although I'm not sure if they are much different.
Wheel. Strength 10. Filter 9. Damper 25. TF audio 35
ACC. Gain 80. Dynamic damping 100. Road effects 10. Frequency 400Hz. TF gain 100.

@Igano - I've never lost FFB in any of the games I have. I'd say to check your power connections, maybe something might have worked a little loose. And perhaps try reseating the wheel.

@Abelardo - I remember doing an update but I'm not sure when that was. Or indeed what the update was for. Probably a couple of months back now. I've never had a problem updating though, pretty straightforward.

Not quite as good as LOGI-RICH but not too bad either. Impressive for having no training.

Not Rich in particular. As I asked users on this topic in my first message here...

And it was on Wednesday. ;)

Impressive for having no training.
Have I got the job as Rich's personal assistant do you think? 😀

And it was on Wednesday. ;)
Ah, apologies, I have Wednesdays off. 😉

And sorry, those are GT7 questions which I've not had the training to deal with. Hopefully someone else might be able to help.

@IfAndOr Thank you for the settings.

But it is software related, if I leave that track and enter another race it's gonna work fine. It's like it disables ffb just for that car-track combination....

@LOGI_Rich recently upgraded from the g923 to the Pro and I’m absolutely loving it. I also just joined the forum here for your exact setting recommendations for GT7. I have read the past 2 months of this thread and I’m looking specifically for your recommendations of wheel settings and game settings for GT7. I know some of it is personal preference, but I would really trust your opinion of these settings. Also, are there any settings that you are 100% set on and recommend almost all players to stick with while adjusting other settings? Thanks for any feedback you can give. Getting these settings dialed for me means a lot and it’s great to see you so active in here. Thanks again!

I should also add that anyone who would like to share their own settings I’d love to hear them. This is what I’m currently running…..

Wheel
Strength- 11
TF audio - 100
Ffb filter - Auto
Dampener - 10
Brake force - 25

Game - GT7
Controller steering sensitivity - 5
Ffb max torque - 6
Ffb sensitivity - 5
Vibration - 50

See my link above to Logitech's official recommendations.

I use those, but set Trueforce at 15-25%

To be fair, I do often respond on the weekend! Not this one though: a lot of travelling and meetings last week so I was exhausted :)

@IfAndOr it's a volunteer position with zero pay, but on the plus side you can set your own hours and take all the credit when your answers are accepted by the community... 🤣

@Chkops interestingly you did used to be able to feel the expansion joints on Tokyo Expressway, but I believe Polyphony tuned them out at some point, possibly due to negative feedback from some drivers?

@WielkiChlop I don't have any further info from Polyphony, I'm afraid.

@Yurki42 it's actually me that puts together those recommended settings. I'll always say that they're a good starting point but due to the subjective nature of FFB they're not set in stone - feel free to adjust as needed. Just remember what I've previously said in here about how game settings are the ones that are usually enforced when the game starts up and that the settings on the wheel then act within the upper limit set by the game settings.
