Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

So i sent my wheel in because of a minor issue with noise coming from the wheel when rotating the wheel past a certain point left and right (which i could also feel through the wheel).
Right after Logitech received the wheel back i got a mail that the replacement wheel was on the way.
I received it a day later and noticed it is a completely new steering wheel and wheelbase.
It is terrific customer service as a repair could leave someone without a wheel for many weeks probably.
But i do wonder what happens to the wheels that get send in? I can't imagine they get tossed in the bin? Maybe stripped for parts to be reused?
Just wondering.
Forget the old wheel. Now, you have a brand new one with no issue*.

for now 🙃

I was also reading how the competition handles repairs. At Asetek you have to pay for the shipping of your faulty unit. I think that is bad service as it's not your fault the wheel needs a repair (talking about stuff that falls within the warranty of course). Logitech deserves praise how they handle repairs and i wrote a nice review on Trustpilot (where they don't score much higher than Fanatec).

I agree. Logitech is a great company who doesn't take its customers for milking cows.

I tried ordering wheel and pedal set in UK and tried using klarna. It came up that the order soesnt qualify for klarna? It's £1150? How's that not enough

Thinking of getting the crew motorfest and ea wrc since they are on big discount. I wonder how they drive with a G Pro on PS5?
Imho Ea wrc is a great deal at regular price, even better on sale. Works pretty great with the g pro with only minor tweaks to Rich’s recommended settings. Im using the racing adapter and old shifter with the hair band mod for a Handbrake. Used the paddles on the wheel for a while, but find it a lot more consistent than trying to find the paddles when barreling down the bumpy paths. Hardly touched gt7 since starting wrc. I really do love rally!

I'll probably get it at half price and wait patiently for the shifter.... I never play during summer so it's easy to wait for the shifter in case it comes this Autumn...

Could care less about buying another rim, the wheel is expensive enough. But you would think this type of thing would kick Logitech’s butt into gear to get some accessories if everybody else is going to start beating them to it.

That handbrake looks pretty sick, but definitely too rich for my blood. I wouldnt mind a moza wheel adapter for the gpro base. Not necessary, but would be sweet to have options.

UGH! Watched video with Lando in it.
24.53% discount. Gonna have to schedule a therapy session for bank account. It's gonna have PTSD with me just looking at this. I wanna. I don't wanna. Hysterics still win.

I need to just stop.

Are these mounting points?

From the pedal template it would appear they are. Stop. Stop. Stop looking

Yes they are. Sorry. 😉

M6 bolts required. Not supplied because of the unknown thickness of your mounting plate.

You could try the code DRLUPO or perhaps ALFREDOPRO. They worked to get an extra discount when I purchased mine. But that was a year ago so they might not be active anymore.

What’s with all these codes? Just like to give a discount to people that take the time to scour the internet for codes. Now I’m regretting not looking for a code. Wasn’t exactly cheap in Canadian dollars lol

What’s with all these codes?
Often they come from YouTube reviewers who have affiliate links. They don't always work if Logitech have their own sale prices but sometimes they do add a little extra discount. So it's always worth a few minutes having a bit of a search around.
Every little bit helps. 🙂

Well is too late now. Too bad they don’t just say you know what, here’s the discount. My own fault though.

I'm still stuck at the philosophical point that peripherals should not cost more, and in my case, more than both my PS5 and PC combined, than the system(s) it will or can be connected to. I'll grant the PC guts were bought used and not anywhere near the latest or greatest, and altogether, with a used 24" monitor, it cost a tad less than the PS5. At present, I just can't justify the cost/benefit ratio.

I keep trying to tell myself the more I use it the less per sec/min/hour/day it will cost. For instance, so far, with the PS5, G29 and GT7, my cost/benefit ratio is $5.33/hr driven, currently at 187:15:55. Getting the PSVR2 and gauging its cost/benefit is harder, since I didn't mark down hours driven prior to using it. Guesstimating at time driven with VR at about 2/3rds of total and adding the cost of it puts me at $10.12/hr for that 2/3rds. I get every minute driven lowers that $/hr spent. Still, that hysterical wailing, even if a bit quieter at the moment, keeps me from going into debt further.

BTW @LOGI_Rich the pedals showed in stock when I foolishly opened a cart with those 2 items so that protection appears to have been removed. Just typing that sentence made the wailing louder. Bank account be all like,

I was at that point but pushed through the barrier and have never looked back. I had a G923 and when I swapped it for the G Pro I first thought "What have I done? It's no better". But as you come accustomed to the wheel and fine tune the FFB you realise it was worth every penny. Now I could never go back to using my G923 and have only kept it in case I have to return the Pro for servicing.

If, and at this point it's a mighty big if, as in it would take a rather large wrecking ball on the barrier here, and I am able to do as you did, I would expect the same sort of results. I would keep my G29 as well.

For now, I'll just be envious of the others that have it.

Yes, those are mounting holes, and dont go into debt over it but. You do know you can seperate each pedal from the base, and directly mount each to you rig or stand more or less wherever you like including inverted if your set up allows. 😁

Hi. Noob here and just waiting for my G Pro wheel and pedals which are on the way. Very excited.
I'm going to be using it solely on PS5
Could anyone tell me please - do I need to connect wheel and pedals to GHub for a firmware update before I use it on the PS5 or am I good to go straight out the box?

Probably connect to GHub. I had to because I had bought the adapter to use my g923 pedals. I wonder if recently ordered wheels have had the update done on them?

New Logitech G Pro owner here. After a rather long debate with myself, I decided to get it instead of going the Fanatec route (and that's after having bought some of their gear during the Black Friday sales. Anyway, It all got sold now). FedEx dropped off the G Pro a little while ago and I just finished installing it on my rig. Not that it's an issue for me or anything but I have to say the videos on YouTube does not do that base justice, it looks bigger and heavier than I thought it would be LOL. Aside from that everything just feels really high quality which I really like.

That being said, where do I change the settings for the wheel? Is everything done on the G-Hub application on PC or on the PS5? My old G29 was just plug and play so wasn't sure what the starting procedure is for this one.

Welcome, hope you love it.

Settings are kind split between the wheelbase and in game controller settings. This page is a good starting point, you can fine tune your preferences from there. Updates are through ghub only.

The small black button gets you into the wheel menu settings, you can figure it out from there.

I’d run the recommended settings first for awhile, get comfortable with it and then considering tweaking it from there.

If you’re playing GT7, remember to drive cars with comfort tires, sports tires and racing tires. I adjusted mine to feel goo with sports soft, maybe a hair on the heavy side. Then when I go to comforts I still have a wheel with FFB lol and the racing ones used to be too heavy but I’m getting used of them now.
