Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel

I'm very happy with the wheel so far. Logitech nailed the quality. It feels well made and looks great. Now I'm excited for the Momo collaboration wheels.

@LOGI_Rich when i first saw the wheels i was a bit disapointed, now after using the rs track wheel for a week i just wanted to say i love it and you guys did a great job!
Still waiting for my shifter/handbrake as it wil be released the 30th in the Netherlands.

Looking forward to the future and what kind of wheels you will release (hoping for a F1 and GT3 replica wheel)

Until than i will enjoy my new wheel and shifter and keep my finger crossed for 2025.

Again great job!!!

It's nothing new as such, but you get to see Rich telling everyone about the new additions. And the chair looks comfortable.

The other brands should take Logitechs Customer Service as the benchmark.
I wouldnt buy (and I didnt) such an expensive thing like a DD setup if the brand doesnt have a reliable support behind.

Long story short, I made the jump from my old trusty G923 (I already had the pro pedals with the adapter) to the PRO Wheel (DD base + RS HUB + RS round wheel).
I dont know if the product is better or worse than its direct comptetitors (never tried a DD wheel), but I do know that I can trust in the brands reliability and that if the time comes and something goes wrong (lets hope no ) Im confident enough that theres someone in the other side of the line to give help.

So, the work of guys like Rich sells products and it should be pretty obvious.
However (in the sim racing market at least) it seems that it is not that obvious.

Now its time to lurk through the pages of this forum to understand the basics of the base setup and how each thing affects the FFB on GT7.

I'm sincerely glad that these new accessories exist. I know I've been vocal about my lack of complete excitement, but that's neither here nor there.

Logitech has to start somewhere, and I only hope this is just the beginning of a deluge of accessories to a large ecosystem.

That said, I'll eagerly await the launch of the Momo round rim because I prefer my round wheels to be 320-330mm in diameter, and I don't need clutch paddles for the normal cars.

Edit: spelling correction

Looks like a man who knows that he needs to deliver an H Shifter in good time!

Good job, Rich.

Got a shipping notification on my sequential shifter/handbrake. Should have it by Tuesday. Anyone got theirs yet? Impressions?

@Tommy moon we have sent your feedback to Polyphony, but let's see what they say.

@Monkey Man potentially an option.

@tinyman392 RS Track/Round and the MOMO GT-Racer 290 are 290mm diameter. The MOMO GT 320 is 320mm.
Thank you Rich.

You have to try the new RS track wheel and hub, especially if you're more into race cars like gr 3 and gr 2. It's a completely different feeling in hand grip, position and comfort along with being so much easier to apply more steering angle for hairpins and quick corners.

Edit: I've always struggled with turning the wheel enough for tight turns and hairpins; just never comfortable with hand positions and twisting my arms, if that makes sense. I'm finding it much easier and natural to do with the track wheel.
I have a good friend whose gonna be in Germany for the expo...if he likes it I'm buying it. I'm a bit of a gorilla, so that's not my issue...but I went through a TS 300 like a week after warranty and my CSL elite actually failed after like 6-7 months...but I just assumed the feedback issues were poor driving....when it completely failed I realized the issue...like a month after warranty.

Hence why I'm so paranoid. It's not really the money...it's explaining to my wife why I would need a 4th wheel in 4 years....after 18 years of marriage...the Tiffany's box that would have to arrive beforehand....would have to be larger than my toy...so the price more than doubles

Hey rich my buddy would love to talk to you about all this in October, from the Expo. Let's see if it moves the needle on this stuff?

@LOGI_Rich , if we have 2 extra buttons in the new RS series, replacing or compensating the lack of 2 analog paddles in a way, can we expect we be able to map these analog paddles for something different, other than clutch and handbrake in the future for the original wheel or it will most probably stay like as it is?

Just out of curiosity: What do you imagine you would want to map them to, other than clutch or handbrake?

Anything I want and I need other than clutch or handbrake. Flasher, Wipers, Left Right signals or whatever. So far, they are just 2 useless paddles on my wheel, coz I dont need a clutch nor a hand break on my wheel.

Anyway, I don't care much, coz I have a button box for that, but going to be cool, if I'm not restricted to just clutch and hand break.

You can already map the paddles to a couple of extra functions but it's game dependant on wether those functions are recognised. Much like the new buttons. It's really down to the game devs to implement them. Perhaps GT7 already does, the Pro seems to be well recognised in that.

I've often thought the paddles could be useful as multiple function activators. All the buttons on the wheel act as normal until you pull the paddle in then they switch to secondary (or tertiary) functions, doubling (or tripling) the available options. You can never have enough buttons in games like ACC for instance.

Saying that, I do find the dual clutch useful at the start of races.

Got 2 today. A bit stress to mount them on my Sim Lab Rig, but got them to work. I did only o couple of minutes in WRC on PS5. Nice feeling, feels more real. I do not have a comparison to other Shifter or handbrake.

A suggestion to save a few button presses and knob twiddling.

On the base perhaps you could make 2 profiles that are exactly the same and include your favoured rotation angle. That way when you start a race (in GT7) you could quickly switch to the other one to load in the settings again - and switch back in the next race etc. Not ideal but it's fairly quick and I think that'd work?

It'd save having to press, scroll down to angle then adjust it and exit out.
if u change angle in the profile , doesnt affect the car angle...is completly managed by the game...
go in camera car view and turn 90° the wheel , then change angle in the profile and see that the wheel in cockpit view dont change angle...

@LOGI_Rich

I don't know if you can help, but there is a scheduled date for the launch in South America, mainly Brazil, of the new Logitech steering wheel accessories. Unfortunately, through chat here, they were unable to inform me.

If anyone was questioning if it’s possible you can stack the new RS shifter/handbrake with the h shifter on the playseat evolution if you switch some of the screws, extension and clamp rotations around. Pretty solid as long as you rotate the handbrake slightly and use one screw either side on the bottom to fix to the rig.

Might be the only person who is bothered on this but thought worth showing in case.

@Giovani83 I don't have a date for you at the moment, I'm afraid. It should be before the end of the year.

@morfei1 on console things are a lot more resticted as to what we can do with the clutch paddles - it's not like PC where you can just add any buttons etc. and they show up automatically for assignment. It's why we had those Axis A and B options that you can assign the paddles to... but it still needs developers to specifically support those for assignment in the games. We'll keep working with developers on this.

Cool, if it works it works 😅 I should receive my shifter tomorrow and will try to fix both it and the H shifter to my Playseat Trophy. I can probably manage by using the shifter plate instead of the h shifter mount, but then the rig won't fit through my doors anymore 🫠

I'll share my solution.

I was maybe somewhat optimistic! so now trying them level on the rig extension, handbrake closer to the seat, which is a bit sturdier but still ok moving the left hand around.

More confusing is why the new RS shifter/handbrake isn't being recognised and working in GT7, tried as many fixes as i can think of from in game settings, pro wheel settings and changing the transmission fitted to the chosen car but just not working. Appreciate it if anyone else has had a similar issue and worked out why?

I also receive mine tomorrow. Please do share pics! I'll do same. Interested to see how people are mounting them.

Got the new RS Track Wheel today. It feels really premium and high quality. At first I was worried it would not feel significantly different than the standard wheel in VR but it feels completely different. The grip feels perfect in my hands. One thing I didn’t anticipate is that TrueForce feels more enhanced with this wheel (I’m guessing because there is less inertia to dampen it). The dials are now more clicky and tactile which I appreciate. I’m planning to use this new wheel for race cars and the standard d-shape wheel for road cars. If you already own the G Pro base and are on the fence about this I say buy it. I’m planning to buy another hub and attach some sort of wooden wheel for classic cars.

Yay my rs hub and track wheel arrived today. Hub looks good, wait no track wheel in the box. Booo. Looked back at my order, I didn’t realize they are shipping separately, wheel has not even processed yet. Boooo. Wah wah wah. Waiting is no problem, but just the hub arriving was a tease lol. Aren’t there rules against teasing lol Hopefully next week!

Checked the website just for the heck of it, track wheel sold out. Oh no lol. I ordered early last week it was in stock, but guessing I got caught out. I think I’m in trouble now 😂 Hopefully only a few weeks. But it’s not like I can’t race or anything like that, the stock wheel is awesome.

@EricTheActor I think it's a safe bet that the stock ran out after you placed your order and therefore that the wheel is still on-its-way.

Many of us found that the base and pedals arrived separately, for example, even 'though they were purchased in the same order.

Good to hear that you like the grip.
Just curious: what are the disc shaped metal weights (?) doing?
