Logitech G25 Racing Wheel

Sorry for slight bump, but I wasnt here for a while.

With my G25, no problems. Shifter and clutch are fine, paddle shifters are very "soft", no gear slippage.

And no, the G25 isnt bluetooth, is has wires, and everything is in seperate peices.
1. Wheel & USB wire
2. Shifter + wire to go to wheel
3. Pedal + wire to go to wheel
4. Power supply - AC plug one end, wire to go to wheel other end

I'm going to wait for GT5 and the PS3 to buy a G25. First I'm going to read some reviews before I decide anything. Maybe there'll be another steering wheel by then.

that steering wheel only has one motor, only sequential (maybe paddles too i dunno) and only turns less than 270 degrees.

I have the G25. I went to play it today on for some reason the buttons on the shifter don't work. When i start up the game the wheels spins around like usaual but when i go to use the buttons they dont work. Is there a way to calabrate these buttons or reset the wheel thing. I don't no what happend. PLEASE HELP

Did you check the plugs in the wheel, to see if the shifter was unplugged?

So you guys are saying that the G25 will not go in 900 deg. mode in GT4 ? How is the wheel in GT4 ?

Im assuming you have to use the paddles or sequential ****er ?

My DFP broke today.... the gas pedal is stuck on. It looks like the little sensor inside is toast.

Nobody said that? It works about 3 times better then it does with the DFP, it returns to center about 4 times quicker, you can turn it alot faster and it feels ALOT smoother. It's better in everyway.

Sweet. Thank guys. I must've been drunk or something :P

How does the shifter work in GT4 ? Sequential only I assume.

We should have a FAQ for the steering wheel alone :D .

today i picked up my G25 and i just can say it incredible. Til now i just played mostly GT4 with it and a few mins of NFS:C but it sucks on ps2!

i will get it up to my laptop and GTR...yep the old one :)

i got a G25 for christmas and play it mostly with LFS and it is amazing. i really like the shifter. i have played it with RACER Free car simulation and it wasn't as real as it is with LFS. I have GTR 2 but it is really choppy on my computer.:( The onlly downside i think is that there are too many wires.

I just upgraded my old GT DFP on a home made mount to the G25 with the addition of a new full seat and frame.:sly: AWESOME!! is all i can say about it.
Its so much better built than the DFP! I only play GT4 with it right now, but a PC upgrade and new LCD Tv are coming soon.
It makes a huge difference to the control and handling of GT over the DFP, The bigger wheel is far smoother and precise, and i have the gearstick mounted where it would be in a real car, so much more natural.
The G25 is well worth the cash, for those who love driving games!
Crossing fingers in hope that Euro PS3 and GTHD will indeed feature force feedback!!!

GTXLR,

Glad to hear you like the G25. I'm using the DFPro right now, but have my eye on the G25 as it appears to be a more realistic set-up. I'm happy with the feel of the DFPro and the force feedback, but again, I like the more robust looking set-up of the G25 with the realistic shifter and clutch peddal.

The only concern I have in buying the G25 is the lack of any Force Feedback for GT4. Has no FFb made any difference in your game as far as cornering ability, lap times, or even fine tuning the car?

Thanks

GT4 has FF, and there has been no mention at all from Sony or PD that GT5 would not support FF.

Sony has resolved their legal woes with Immersion so it is very unlikely that GT5 or any future driving game from Sony will come without FF. In fact, I suspect a new version of GT:HD will be coming out with FF and additional features/tweaks.

My current favorite driving simulation game is F1:CE for PS3 and it currently does not support FF and have had no performance problems because of the lack of FF. I prefer FF for the 'feel', but I can race just as fast with or without it.

The Feedback issue should be fixed soon, now Immersion and Sony have anew deal!👍
The G25 is a big leap in terms of control, its much smoother movement and larger wheel, feel much more realistic, it enables me to be more precise.
I dont have a PS3 yet in the uk, but since i got the G25 have gone back to GT4, a new, on my PS2, so far im only going through the license tests, but instantly ive found it possible to hugely improve my consistancy and times, often trouncing golds by quite large margins.(all gold first 4 licenses so ar) the quality of the wheel is matched with the vastly superior pedals, my old DFP pedals suffered regularly with the common fault, requiring much time dismantling.
The first benefit to me of the pedals is the move to right foot braking/accelerating as opposed to using both feet with the old DFP, this to me gives greater control as the lift off in moving to brake makes very subtle difference to the balance physics , the bonus is im learning to heel toe too.
The pedals are very solid, and the resistance in the brake pedal is excellent.
The forcefeedback is much better than the DFP, it doesnt feel as violent with the bigger wheel with the setting on high, and the nuances of grip balance and weight transfer are much more distinguishable to me now,ive been able to slipslide my way round the grand canyon so much better and with complete control in the slides, something i couldnt consistantly keep up with my DFP.
Im loving my G25 setup, im even re visiting TOCA3, surprised to find so many still online (look out for Lumpster).

Redoak, i feel what you say. Fingers crossed that somehow Turn10 can get the drivers for the G25 into Forza2, please microsoft!!! Ive even bought the Microsoft wireless wheel, but in comparison to the G25 it feels so flimsy, the feedback is lame, and it feels like it may break as soon as it gets any serious use. It would be a huge Plus to be able to hook up the G25 with FM2 this summer, My xbox360 deserves it:)
