Logitech G25 Racing Wheel

it's now been 6 days since i got the email confirming that the they had received the money and it STILL 'pending'!:(

Got my wheel this Monday and hooked it up to my home made cockpit for a test drive last night. The steering wheel is good. Very good for what you pay for. The pedals are great. The shifter is adequate. I guess they should have made it a bit more resistive but I am not complaining.

I have budgeted next months paypacket to include one of these wheels.

Not got a wheel for the pc as it is, just for the PS2. Looking forward to a bit of GTR 2!

guys...please anybody can tell me on a release date in the middle east?

cause i dont know how i shell categorize this place here.... well, you can buy PAL and NTSC here...but to 90% PAL is ruling the place...so i guess EUROPE then??

i wanna know when that wheel will be available here! :)

got myn this morning:D how do you get 900 mode to work ive done it inthe settings etc but its stil only 240 or whatever? and its not centred...?

It doesn't seem that GT4 supports some of the features? I wonder if the clutch is really needed? I'm thinking I will need to edit my cockpit setup to accommodate the clutch. I use my left foot on the brake with the DFP, so my driving style would need to change as well.

Has anyone used the G25 enough to give a good review on it's features and setup?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here. Just got my G25 last weekend, there are quite a number of stock over in my country, singapore. Probably due to the small amount of GT4 players over here.

This is my first ever wheel, and i really feel weird driving with it. Maybe i just had to get used to it.

Is there any Singapore or Asia players in this forum that owns this wheel too?

Clanegie.

welcome to GTP clanegie:) You picked a good wheel to start out with lol. There will be some singapoer, asian players but weather or not there in this thread...?

I got my G25 last week, i live in Indonesia...i really did not expect that this wheel would be available in my country. Lucky me! :) it's around $270.

Hi Stringhell!!! U r the first asian member i know here! i got mine wheel for S$530. So how do u find the wheel? I find it quite hard to use, i would need alot more practice on it! i will never give up!

One questions for brudders out there on G25, how can i reverse my car? do i need to press the triangle button everytime i need to reverse? as there a way where i can configure it? I can't find anyways doing it.

it was really a coincidence...i just went to the computer mall (Mangga2 Mall, if you know) and i was surprised by a green-black box with letters : "G25"!!! but the store was close due to ramadhan holiday, so i wait for a week. And then i called them, they said they still had the stock (only one actually) and the next morning i went there and just get it fast! :dopey: lucky me, lucky me :) Because of G25, i had to sell my DFP to my cousin. The G25 is a lot (i mean a lot) better wheel than the DFP, much more realistic and really worth the price. Now in GT4 i can drift easier and more controllable with this wheel (900^ mode). :)
For reverse, you have to push down the shifter first and then shift to reverse gear. Man, now i already owned 3 wheels (Thrustmaster F1 FFB, DFP and G25 ) and honestly, G25 is the best. :) Actually the TM F1 also has the same quality, but it's only good (proper) for F1 game.

What do u mean push down the shifter?? Sorry, but i didn't understand what u trying to tell me. My shifter is now in sequential mode, how do i do reverse??

hey i live in asia too, in the philippines actually. got my wheel from the US. had my friend buy it there for me and bring it back here. you won't see this wheel coming out in the philippines. im probably the only one who has this kind of wheel in the country! hahahaha! they dont even sell the DFP anywhere.

this is my first wheel too and im really having a hard time playing GTR2 especially with the clutch. i cant even heel toe yet. argh. im beginning to get forced to using the paddle shifters and automatic clutch.... but i don't want to do that. that would ruin my purpose for buying the G25.

paddle shifters are easy to use and having your left foot over the brake without worrying about a clutch is even easier. GT4 works like that. if you only plan on playing GT4 with this wheel, then buy the DFP instead.

to do reverse, push down on the stick shift then turn the knob. that will bring you to the H-shift mode. while in H-shift mode, push down on the stick again and while pushing it, bring it to where you normally put the 6th gear. that would be your reverse.

Sorry, my bad :ouch: you mean how to reverse in GT4? yes, you have to push that triangle button :ill: i thought it was other game like GTR that supports H-shifter. GT4 only supports sequential mode, and shifting down the sequential into reverse gear is not possible...you have to push that "magic" button.:dopey:

I thought there was some possibility that i can configure the buttons on the steering wheel for reverse... So Sad... Its very difficult for me, as i always spins out or crash.. Hahahahahahaha.. Thats why i need the reverse buttons so badly. Pressing the triangle button on the gear is just to troublesome.

Are you new here too Chris? I think we both are too new to a steering wheel.. We have to put in extra effort to get used to it!!!

Do you play GT4 too?

If you don't mind, drop me a private message and i can add you to my MSN? And maybe we can have some small discussion online if i do see you online!

Cheers!

Clanegie.

Well mine is ordered.

Should be here Friday, along with a copy of GTR 2.

Allthough i do think i will have to give it a try with GT4!

Hello everyone here,

G25 now might probably be the most preferred wheel in the world now by most gamers. But i have a simple question.

How realistic is the G25 compared to driving in a real car? I had driven before, but not at any fast speed.

I feel that the pedal is really good, but the gear can be improve with the wheel itself. Its just mine own opinion.:)

Clanegie.

Mine arrived today.

Been playing GTR2, Live for speed and Rfactor this evening.

Love this wheel to bits, dont think i'll ever want rid of it. Still havnt quite got the FFB settings right though.

Gabkicks:

Tried your settings, they seemed to work ok.

I did tweak things slightly though, think i've got it about right now!

I have spent about 5 hours playing live for speed today, possibly the best £24 i've spent in a few months.
