Logitech G25 Racing Wheel

For me, physics are more important than graphics.
and the graphics dont look that bad if you run with a decent amount of AA and AF. it has 3 real cars (mrt6, BMW SauberF1, and raceabout) and the rest have the specs of real cars but they had to change the looks so they dont get sued.

2 unedited screenshots @ 1280x1024 6xAA, 16xAF. Jpeg compression makes the screenshots look a bit dull...in the 2nd screenshot you can see me and my opponent glancing at eachother before a left turn.

A little more feedback please, how is the FF versus the DFP? and the rotation speed? better GT4 experience or no difference at all?

I have used the G25 in a lan setup with my son. He used to clean my clock before I got the DFP. Now with the G25, his clock is clean!:)

The FF is different. I have the wheel set for the max FF. The limited races I have used it on, mostly in arcade, is stronger on hitting the wall, but less on rumble strip. Full out on a stightway with the Gran Turismo F1, it is a real chalenge to keep is stright. I like that.

The wheel returns to center like a real stearing wheel should. It seems to give me more control. I can drive smoother with it.

Overall, it is half again better than the DFP is better than the hand controler.
That is because I REALLY suck using the hand controler.

this wheel is awesome, just got mine yesterday and i love it :) my time on the nurburgring in a stock 330i is still about 15 sec slower than with the controller but i'm getting better. i can actually catch slides with this where as i sometimes had difficulty when i tried it with the DFP though i wasn't able to spend alot of time practicing with it.
right now its attatched to a desk but i'm in the process of building a cockpit, actually all i have so far is the seat out of my old car :) and i'm sure it will be a crap load better then too.

Lets hope for the ones who bought it, that it's going to be compatible with the PS3 as well.

I'm sure it will be compatible with the ps3 because in the GTHD thread there is picture of PD"s office and they have a g25, a dfp and a dfex sitting there.
But don't take my word for it.

Oh and the cheapest i've seen it so far in AUS is $499.95 AUD. 100 under retail. I reeckon u could bargain though because it was harvey norman.

jb hifi and some eb games stores are selling it for $449AU. i asked for a cash price 👍 at jb and got it for $425 :)

i just rung harveynormans,EB and dicksmith and all stated that it costs $670! and you had to order it in.I managed to get the harveynorman guy to offer it to me for $630 but thats still $300 more than the CHEAPEST dfp on launch!

I finally got one, and here is my review. The steering feels perfect with the leather, and turns with one finger. The buttons and D-pad are easily place where you want them with the seperate shifter. The shifter moves flawlessly, and mounts perfectly with the hidden clamp. The pedals are super realistic with the different levels of resistance, and gives me the most realistic driving experience ever. The only bad part is I don't know any games the support the H-gate to tell you how it is.

I think I going to wait for the ps3 to come and see what wheel will be avaible by then.

Okay, first off, if it's not available where you live, buy it online like ebay. Secondly, Im sure it will be PS3 compatable, because I've seen GT:HD previews and in the PD office they are using the G25

hey,

i remember i used to play NASCAR RACING SEASON 2003 DEMO, and i remember (if i didnt loose my memories yet :D), that you could select H pattern there.

try to find that demo...but i think if 2003 nascar had it, so maybe the 2006 or maybe even 2007 already has got the feature of h-pattern.

try it out and let us know :)

I dont think I'll be buying any new games for a while, since the wheel has sent me broke! I did try the H-gate though, I tried it on a computer game, and it's awesome. Its not too hard, or too soft to shift. The only problem with H-gate is the loud clicking when changing gears

omg, how can i possibly have missed this one!? this seems great! sorry if many have asked before, but have it been released in europe??? :D

EDIT: oh, it sure has been released! costs about $300 US here in Sweden..
