Logitech G25 Racing Wheel

My G25 will hopefully arrive in next month.
I actually made cockpit for it.I will post pics to cockpit thread as soon ass i get my wheel.
Lot off money have been and will be spent to my ps3 project.Currently i dont even have a lcd/wide screen tv so that will eat at least 1600 euros(im going for full hd).
But what a hell ,fun is priceless :)

ps: price for g25 was 299€(if i had ordered it earlier price would have been 240€)

Where did you order?

Edit: Just placed an order for one along with GTR 2 from Amazon.com for $329.98.

I just put my order for the Logitech G25 as well. Should arrive in the following month or so. Now I just need a proper table to set up the DFP to play on my TV. Wish I could have a cockpit, but I really don't ahve the money for one at the moment (and there's too many choices, I don't know a good one for me).

Don't think this has been posted

Shows the speed the Logitech G25 can spin

wow... that's actually pretty fast! LOL

For GTR2, i think this wheel will be worth it. Probably not for GT5 tho... any word on an actual clutch?

you know... it is a good idea to maybe look things up :P there is lots of stuff on the logitech site itself.

i'm pretty sure the answer is no. since the xbox360 doesnt even have true force feedback support... but i'll ask some people that have the g25 if they have xbox360

Does the 360 even have a USB port?? haha. That's why I got a PS2 after my XBOX got stolen a few years ago........I saw the DFP and realized it would only work on PS2/PC and said F the XBOX haha. I'm a gear head and a sim racing nut. So yeah. DFP + PS2 >>>>>>>>> MC2 + XBOX

I can't watch that "you tube" vid!! It opens, says: "loading" and then... nothing but share or watch again.

I don't don't I can buy this wheel. My local shop hasn't even heard of it.

Yes it does. The X360 has true force feedback, but there aren't any compatible FF wheels out yet.

How are you going to ask people if it isn't released yet?

because it has already been released in other countries like new zealand.

also iceburn is correct. the Xbox360 supposedly supports true ffb. but microsoft won't tell any other developers how to make force feedback wheels for the 360. microsoft wants to be the only ones making ffb wheels.

OK here I come. I have a XBOX 360, I play sims games.

The only PS2 games that is closer to what people call sims games is Enthusia Professional racing. I own a DFP & I tried LFS, GTR, GTR2 & GTL.

LFS is the best one into the field of pure racing, but don't deliver real car. >_>

Most Simbin games feel like they are stick to some rail, making the race a bit too easy to make pass. It's a bit deceving that you cannot make calculated pass like LFS & EPR. Though, the Force Feed Back is top notch.

In EPR it feature real car, but the setting are very limited. All car movement can be done in that game. Most of the track are a bit boring to race on & drifting is so fun in it. :)

The force Feed Back is written in the game. Any 360 games can have Force Feed Back with a patch or a new game that support it. The issue is the compatibility in software, not hardware.

I don't consider GT4 & PGR3 as a sim. What I like about PGR3 is it highly focus on pure racing. Leaving the n00bs in the dust.

First i noticed clicking sound of pedals (its bit too loud). This will probably be easy to fix with some material between plastics.
EDIT:sound is truely coming from sifter, guess you get used to it.
Im not sure if wheel is running in 900 degree mode. Comparing true steering angle to one featured in game there is large difference. So live for speed s2 doesn´t support 900 degree mode(or bad config is used)

Gear stick looks bit too easy to move from gear to gear.(im not sure this is a true issue)

Overall everything looks nice

btw I requested logitech to make this wheel about a year go. I also shared my ideas of using progessive springs on pegals(im not sure if did use them for brake)
For gear stick i pointed out that act-labs had ok sifter, again i dont no if they addopted any technology.
I adviced to use hydraulic steering to get rid of wine.As we now now they didnt use hydraulics, but tow motors insted(wise choice)

I dont know if they ever read my emails but i told them that i study in university of technology to put some weight on my words.

LFS does support 900. with the stronger and more responsive motor,900degrees should be quite fine with the G25 when driving road cars.maybe the guy just forgot to turn steering compensation on. i cant really tell because i no longer have the video on my hard drive :P

is this wheel officially out yet? The logitech site says Ocotber it will come out. Anyone know the specific date?:)

I bought one Sunday at Fry’s. Connected it up and works great!

I couldn’t get the six-speed shifter to work. I guess I should have read more on it in the forms. It is recognized as a DFP and the shifter won’t work. So I will just use it as a sequential shifter.

Other than that it works fine. I like the mounting threads on the bottom of all three units. I tend to be hard on the wheels. I had to mount my DFP with a tie down strap. This wheel costing $299, I am going put less muscle into driving.

Anyone know of a PS2 game that will recognize the shifter?

None i wouldnt think.

But, on PC, it will work on rFactor, GTR2, GTL, GTr etc, as they are all built with G25 and H gates in mind. rFactor even has a configuration specifically for the G25.
