Anyone played F1 2015 on PS4? Have you guys notice there no FFB at the start? What's the best setting for F1 2015 (I know I'm bit loser about setting so I want to learn something new)
Thanks guys!

I need a very accurate answer on a very important Logitech topic.

I plan on replacing my broken DFGT with a G29 and Shifter. I don't have a PS4, this is for GT6 right now. Eventually I'll get Project Cars. So my question is this: will the shifter work on PS3 or will I have to the paddles for everything?

Shifter is not compatible with ps3. You will have to use the paddles for gear changes when using the G29 on ps3

No, the G29's PS3 drivers do not allow the use of a separate shifter on the PS3, the G29 is using the DFGT drivers and the DFGT only has sequential shifter not a H shifter.

The G27 shifter will work on the PS4, however the shifter buttons don't work as they are now on the G29 wheel.

I asked if it works with the PS3, not does the PS3 equipment work on the PS4. You lost something in translation maybe?

Have you actually tried to use the G29 Shifter on PS3? Here's this from a trusted friend. I've been discussing this on the SNAIL forum as well, that's my main GTP home.

A full G29 rig works on the PS3. Their are conflicting stories as to whether or not the G27 shifter works on the G29 or not I personally wouldn't buy a G27 shifter to work with the G29. If you are going to buy the G29 anyways either use the flappy paddles until you can afford the G29 shifter or wait until you can get the full G29 rig.

I tried it with gt6, gt5, gt5 prologue and grid autosport. It Does not work. Look back to page 27, I posted a pic of the box of the shifter that clearly states that the unit is not compatible with the PS3

^^ this. Logitech have stated that the shifter is not compatible with the PS3.

No, the G29's PS3 drivers do not allow the use of a separate shifter on the PS3.......

Maybe you didn't read what I wrote? ;)

I hate all this compatibility nonsense, it's a pain in the posterior. Why can't the consoles just be more like PC's, everything works as long as there are drivers available for it. The answer is of course, £$£$£$.

Quick question, has anyone managed to get a G29 melded with a DFGT Wheelstand Pro, or do they think it would be possible with a little ingenuity? I can just about swallow the cost of buying a G29 from Currys so that I can start racing again on the PS4, but another £85 for the new Wheelstand Pro would be harder to justify - especially when I only just got my original DFGT one out of the box (after buying it 5 years ago then losing it...oops) and connected to my DFGT wheel a couple of months ago!

Have a word with the Wheelstand guys. They will probably supply you with the different mounting plate (if you need it) which would keep the cost low.

I don't know what the DFGT stand looks like as mine is a V2 G27.

This is cheaper than the lowest i could find for a new G27!!
Think it's cheaper than G27 ever was on sale. Seems like G27 is going up in value, think it's discontinued. I think I'll keep mine for backup. UK getting quite good wheel deals, probably the T150 at £44.99 was a bigger bargain. Hopefully G920 is also at the same price as G29, will buy both if that's the case. Wonder if Amazon will price match too.

Heads up to people in UK, G29 will be £99 in Currys on the 28th this month.

I just came on this thread to say that I've decided to buy one if they ever go half price, & to check to see if there are any new price drops.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely be getting one at that price. Then I'll sell my G25 on for £85 to offset the cost.

👍

Well, I didn't end up buying one in the Currys £99 Easter Monday special - I BOUGHT THREE!!!

I bought them seperately, & got cash reciepts for them, as I was planning to sell two of them on for £150 to make my money back. However, several people had the same idea & there was a lot of them for sale at that price on Gumtree. So, I decided to sell them for £125 instead. One's already sold & the other one is going tonight or tomorrow. Now, if I also take away the £50 profit I made after all my wheeling & dealing on Fanatec wheels, I've essentailly got my G29 for the grand old price of £0.00! I can live with that. :D

It's nice to finally have a compatible wheel for my PS4, but at the same time it does feel more like a toy than the Fanatec GT3 that I've been playing around with. As with everything in life, there are always gonna be pros & cons.

@Saidur_Ali - Thanks once again for the heads up. :)

Congratulations on the new wheel even thought your GT3 is better but still :)

Ever since i have tired the G27, i wanted a wheel to play with. Sadly most of them are expensive for what they are.

I ended up getting a G29 and a G920 for personal use. Still haven't got around to opening them yet.

That probably explains why I couldn't get one at all. When I checked they had none in any stores locally and none available for delivery either. :banghead:

Well done. That was a smart move.

Nice move :D. My 3 month old G29 is going strong with about 200 hours on it. Still as good as the day I unboxed it. My pedals has seen some heavy abuse from my brother and it still hasn't skipped a beat. I'm sure you will get hours and hours of enjoyment out of your wheel, and what makes it so much sweeter is your price tag of zero!

Sorry to hear about that Ian. :( I did get up early & got to the store at 9am when it first opened. There was one guy behind me with a G29. After I bought the first one, I went back for a second & that was all they had. Luckily there is a PC World in the same retail park so I went there, & they had one wheel left. I'm guessing that each shop only had a few wheels at best.

I would like to ask if this product here is an original G29. It has the Logitech logo on the rim and red brake pedals just like g27. This is a 2nd hand seller but I am not sure if the wheel itself is G29.

@Consistency I personally would be wary of purchasing that wheel. Someone else might be able to enlighten us on how original the wheel is though. The wheel looks exactly like a G29. Its possible that the owner swopped the badge with one from a G27 and has included the G27 pedals with it. The leather and stitching look good as well.
I know the pre launch model had a different 'G' logo as can be seen in this image.

Red pistons on the pedals are from G25/G27, black pistons on the pedals are from the G29/G920. Personally I would skip this seller.

If you are in the UK, the G29 is only £180 from PC world.

Those pedals look worn too, they're certainly not G29 pedals. As for the logo, perhaps the seller simply changed it over, but why, it doesn't make it look any better?

I'd avoid it.

Do not buy this wheel, because it has been taken apart by the owner.
