PC world are asking £300 for these now.
Crazy.

They have been on sale since before Christmas, they was bound to go back up to full price again at some point. Hell, they dropped to £99 over Easter weekend. Either way, the wheel is still worth a purchase at the £300 asking price. If you are on the PS4 however, the Thrustmaster T150 may be the better choice.

Picked it up on Amazon for £215. My G27 shifter is a suitable substitute for the recommended shifter.

Personally I don't think it's worth £300 (minus shifter) but the price does include that Logitech wheel reliability. My G27 is still fine after 5 years.

Just wondering has anyone had any issues with the wheel yet? Thinking of buying one after exams because my T300 just broke.

Mine is going strong. 4.5 months, +- 250 hours and still as good as the day I first plugged it in.
Glad I avoided the Crapmaster and settled for the G29.

I've had issues where my paddles are double shifting, up or down it happens. Waiting on logitech getting back to me about a solution.

They will either have you send it into them to repair, or they will ask you to go back to the point of sale for a faster replacement unit option. Assuming it is still under warrenty at the point of sale. The same thing happened to mine.

2 year warranty, and only got it in November so all good there. I'm away on holiday next month so will try sort it for then.

Got it sorted today, phoned the knowhow people at pc world, explained the problem and was told to take it back to the shop. Got there and they can't test in the shop so just replaced the wheel no hassle. So I'm all goodgood, (fingers crossed).

Got g29 today, G29 shifter doesnt work with GT5 and GT& and Dirt Rally on ps4.WHY?!?!?

Shifter is not compatible with PS3 so it will never work on the GT5 and GT6.
As for Dirt Rally on the PS4, I can not comment as I do not own that game.

Shifter work with Dirt rally , but game is too hard with clutch. You can tune in profile settings transmission options.

Thinking in buy a G29 after my T300 has broken too, but i'm concerned about the G29 have problems too.

I have a good history with logitech, my 8 years old Driving Force GT stills work but, you never know.
So, any major issues with the wheel?

No, nothing I can think of.

Does G29 still use the plastic optical encoder wheel? My G25 is still going strong after 8 years but that was the only thing that broke (and it's gonna break at some point for all G25 wheels, unless you never use it).

The encoder was supposedly one of the few parts they changed.

Does the H-Shifter work for WRC 4? I generally use the left paddle for the handbrake and the sequential to shift but if I can't run the H-shifter I'll just stick to DFGT on WRC 4.

Edit: both G29 and G920 are now available at Currys and PC WORLD for £179.99, shifter for £24.99. There's a G920 and shifter deal which I strongly advise you DON'T buy as you would be paying an extra £20.01.

WRC4 is on PS3, so it wouldn't. The H-shifter on the G29 doesn't work on any game on the PS3 period.

There is an issue with connector to wheel's PCB, however it might be a small percentage only and you still got it covered with warranty.

Now they use Hall Effect sensor instead of optical encoder.

Time to buy a new wheel for my PS4 and can not decide between the G29 or T300 just because of the pedal set.

Can anyone post the measurements (US) for the distance between the gas and brake and brake to clutch on the G29? I use the Driving Force GT now. I left foot brake and wondering if the gas a break on the G29 are closer together and if the clutch pedal is going to be in the way.

Wondering if the T300 2 pedal set might be a better option for me.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to measure and reply.

The distance between the gas and brake on the G29 is 6 an a half inches, the brake to clutch is 1 an a half inches.

The pedals can also be moved left or right to increase or decrease the distance as well.
