Looping When Trying To Load Game After 2.10 Udate *FIXED*

Am I correct when reading your OP, that you can't even begin a new GT5 game on the 2.10 version? Deleting all GT5 data from your PS3 (keep on your USB clearly) and trying to start a new GT5 game on your account. You still get the boot loop under this condition?

No, I can start a new game with no problem. But when I load my old savegame onto it, I get the looping. Its the savegame, no matter how you try to use it, it won't work.

I just logged out and back in again, maintenance hasn't affected me, I must have some magical TARDIS ps3. This is getting more odd by the minute.

I logged on PSN 2 hours after the maintenance started here in the UK. And I've been online on GT5, sorry to rub it in.

EDIT: After reading the last few posts, I can tell you that it is not an un-deletable car that could be causing the issue. I say this because on one of my many trips yesturday back to 2.09, I was able to delete all of my cars except of course the one I was in which I bought new just for making the new gamesave. Still had the looping with no cars in my garage. I stated this before when I done it, perhaps you just overlooked that experiment. Anyways, not the issue guys, sorry.

edit: 15 have voted "yes" so far. Thats more than one or two. Lets hope PD/Sony are taking notice.

Just visited some other forums and seems there are quite a few other people having the same issue so we're not alone here guys. Hopefully they get it fixed soon. I hope they don't ignore this problem.

Updated last night while logged into my main account, everything worked fine on it. Was too lazy to check my GTP_barra account. Will do that tonight and update this post and vote in the poll accordingly.
I don't have any undeletable/stuck cars that I know of.

I too hope there be good news on hearing this being solved. I have faith in Kaz and PD to aggress this as soon as possible to fix, for everyone who have this problem occuring on their game.

I don't think it's PD, I believe it's on Sony's side. Tonight's maintenance isn't scheduled, as far as I know, so hopefully this issue is being fixed as we speak.

Here is some background for my game. I have recently finished both 24 hr races, I just bought my 1,000th car, I am at level 40 for both A & B spec and I am 99% complete. I downloaded two of the free dlc cars (Stingray and Scion) before I updated to the 2.10v and I updated to the 2.10v before I updated to the 4.31.
How do you revert back to the 2.09v? I read that some of you can still play on that version and I just wasn't to play until PD or Sony hopefully work this mess out .

You would need a save prior to updating into the 2.10. If you do, just reload the save that has the 2.09 version and do not log on into the GT5 via internet. Do it off line.

If you do not have a back up, you must wait for PD/Sony. :ouch:

I think we need to eliminate GT5 as being the culprit here. Especially after my issues with the playstation network being unavailable on all but my main account. Those who updated on secondary accounts probably just compounded the issue with the SONY update.

During maintenance * there was maintenance in the us 2 days ago* if you had logged in a few hours before hand you can access the psn flawlessly, if not you cant log in or it will give you disconnects !

I just logged in after the PSN Maintenence. Still loops so PSN maintenence didn't fix it...for me anyways. Anyone else have better luck after the mainenence?

EDIT: Nevermind, maintenence is still going, false alarm. Still waiting. It should be ending anytime tho according to their blog.

Hey, I got this weird thing last night, and I remember reading this thread so here it goes.

It happened after I exited the performance tuning shop. The screen was showing GT Life menu, and the cursor was pointing to profile picture. The cursor was circling and then screen goes blank, then GT Life menu showed up again with the cursor pointing arrow then circle and blank again.

So it was like:
Blank > GT Menu+Arrow Cursor > GT Menu+Circle Cursor > Blank .... and so on

It happened around 4-5 cycle and finally back to normal.

It happened last night during PSN maintenance, I was thinking I could use the maintenance time to buy and prepare some cars.

I only have one Phat PS3 hardwired to the router. BTW anyone that updates firmware or game data while wireless needs their head read! Take the PS3 to the router if you can't do a long hard wire.

I have two EU (PAL) disc's (Signiature Edition and Academy Edition) and a standard USA (NTSC) disc. UK, NZ, USA, JP, HK GT5 SEN accounts and I've not had a problem with any combination of disc or account. Guess I'm just lucky.

My main (PAL) save has one of every car in the game apart from the Gamestop NASCAR and the Edge Camaro. All cars only have upgrades/tuning parts that can be removed. ie No weight reduction, no engine stage, no body rigidity etc.

My USA NTSC save does have the Edge Camaro.

Funny thing though. Straight after the update I could not click on the New Car Dealerships icon in the GTLive screen. The cursor would not sit on it. I needed to go to the New Cars Chevrolet Dealership to buy the new C7 as I never use the tickets in the little truck. I restarted GT5 and the problem went away.

Whats wrong with updating with wireless I have had no issues with it.
 
Well I updated my GT5 yesterday.

First my main account and was bit afraid I got that problem too, but after couple minutes it started run :)
My sub account started run immediately.
I got on my main account 1280 0\0\0 cars and on my sub 99% same cars with miles..
I haven't downloaded new Corvette yet......

Edit:My ps3 is at 4.30.

The PS3 wireless card really is not good. You have more chance of dropping packets while wireless. Granted 99.99% of the time you will be fine but it's that 0.01% you got to worry about. When doing upgrades of any sort take 2 minutes to eliminate that 0.01% by moving your PS3 to the router and hardwiring it if it isn't already hardwired.

Anyway back on topic:

I hope you guys get a solution. I'm feeling for you!!! I'd be near on suicidal if it was me.

Thats what I've been saying for the last day and a half now.

PureGTMuzz: Don't come on here bashing wireless. I have been using wireless since day one and have had no problems at all. I even used to host daily online races with no problems at all. I don't appreciate you coming on here and telling me that I need my "head read" just because I use wireless. I take offense to that. If you setup your router properly, you will be just fine. Furthermore, since one of my accounts works and one doesn't, that is hardly the issue. And I have tried several times since with the same result: secondary account works, main doesnt.

Like I have been saying, I firmly believe now that it is an incapatibility issue between the new update and several peoples' gamesave and can only be fixed via a patch from PD. I've experimented with many things that brings me to that conclusion. I am holding a small hope that after PSN MAINTENENCE things will work, but I very highly doubt it, we'll see. For now, I am just waiting for a patch from PD.
