Lots of Games have it Now. Should GT 5 have a Rewind Option?

As the title says. This is a poll I hope will cover most of the possible answers, so that most of the people is not left without an option. Here's a small description.

- I will only buy GT5 if it makes it into the game.

Pretty simple, actually. I will only buy the game if the feature is there.

- Yes, it should be in GT5.

It should be in GT5 for X reasons.

- I don't care if it is included, nor if it isn't.

Like me, I don't care whether it is in the game or not.

- No, it shouldn't be in GT5.

It shouldn't be in GT5 for X reasons.

- I won't buy GT5 if it makes it into the game.

Pretty simple too. If it's in the game, then it's a no-no for me.

- I would never use it if it's in the game.

If it makes it into the game, you wouldn't use it.

- I would use it only during practice.

My particular case. I would only use it during practice to perfectionate those hard corners, which otherwise would cost me minutes to get to again, example: Caracciola Karussell.

- I would use it only during races.

Can't win by normal means? Here's your opportunity!

- I would use it in both modes (racing and practice).

Previous two, but combined.

- Other (explain).

There's always the chance I'm missing something.





I believe this is a very complete poll, and leaves little place for misunderstandings. Please vote in this poll, even if if you have already done so in the other poll about this very controversial feature. 👍

Thats like asking why someone wouldn't want the R3 button to be instant 100% health when playing MGS4 or Uncharted.

Its not as easy as just saying don't use it. As pure as I may try to be when racing I know I will give in more then one time to the temptation of rewinding a mistake.

It's like starting the game off with a trillion credits. It, like rewind, takes so much fun out of the game its not even funny

Oh please. B-spec is worse than a rewind button.

If you don't want the temptation, assign the button to something else.

That sounds like a really bad case of sucks to be you then. Learn some self control, I mean it's a button that rewinds a game...it doesn't do anything life changing.

Yes it should be in. No, I'd never use it. I'd assign the button to something else more useful.

Yes, as you can see, you can "not want it into the game", and "not want it into the game and not buying it because of it".

Plus, it gives other people (like me) the option to vote something else than "yes" or "no".

Should have put GT instead of GT5, because someone might vote against the addition of the feature based on a thought that the release date might get pushed back.

At first i was against the idea but after some thought it might ease some possible problems with the game. AI in GT has been quite prone to some irrational behaviour and rewind would give you possibility continue playing after you are hit by stupid AI driver.

Good point but if your in a championship or endurance race there is no way to keep you from using it to correct a fault thats your own. A better solution is to improve AI which I am hopeful they have done in GT5.

Can we talk here or should we still keep it at the main thread?

@Earth: You can still vote a resounding no if you want to. 2nd, 3rd and 4th options should be enough, your case would be 4th. The other options are for people to go deeper into their choice. Those who vote 4th still may use the option.

I don't think you made the poll to sway votes or make anything appear slanted.

But borderline people and/or the "I-don't-cares" vote no, so this is a good poll for letting people specify how they feel about rewind.

This still isn't a good argument.

Having a trillion credits isn't the same. That allows you to spend as much as you want without any consequence. A rewind feature, does have a consequence, and will never affect the game if you don't use it.

Sorry, my bad. I should have thought about my reply to Earth a little more before posting. I don't think you created it to sway votes. Your poll did force people to choose one or the other. This one gives more options so I think it is better.

I voted other because I might actually use it to get through boring career mode races or some license tests. With online racing, single player career is very heavily devalued IMO, almost as if it were a chore. If you can play career mode online, I wouldn't use it.
