@jamiebeech wow...beautiful driving! The fact that you can take turn 12 (Pouhon) in 5th flat out is amazing. Obviously I lack the skill to drive these cars as fast as a lot of you guys - but it certainly is inspiring to watch. Your control of this rather out of control car is astonishing. Well done!!

He is not the one driving, it is TRL_beau, he just posted the video.

I'm going to give this a proper go later, w/ the Weider tune that seems to be recommended by you folks here, only gave it a dozen attempts before stopping after I got gold when the seasonal came out. I was just tip-toeing the first time around.. that turbo makes me so jittery when it kicks in.

I have watched this on top 10 replays couple of times but I never noticed the way he rides on the curb when coming out of Eau Rouge, I tried it and when I let the car go all the way to the right on the exit it naturally accelerates bit longer before I have to correct the line and head to the straight. This doesn't mean a lot in time but it yet again made me realize how skilled those top drivers are, I mean if I go on the curb it's bye bye for good time for me since it's gonna slip off, the precision when driving that Lotus over 300KM/H has to be absolutely tremendous!!! I mean sometimes I wonder how I leave so much on the track, but these sort of details aren't that easy to notice when I have absolutely no idea of them.

And yeah, when I have my ps on I usually want to drive as much as I can and patience is NOT my virtue (that's probably why I like this TT, there's no time for patience :D) so when I watch these videos on my PC I think it might be easier to notice these kind of little details that will make you aster, IF (it's a really big if for me at least) you can replicate what they are doing... So even though the quality of this video ain't so great, thanks for posting it, made me realize something new yet again!!!

Did a quick session today and improved greatly from 1:51 to 1:47:389.
This car is amazing, you can push it very hard and its still laughing at me :-).
As always, I made a little video, constructive criticism is welcome.

PS: Isn't that a nice thumbnail-picture? :D

Great lap! Would you be able to share your tune? :)

@nExx thank you very much! I tried tuning it myself and was only able to get to 1:52.7ish but I don't think the tune is that much to blame but rather poor driving.

I had a spare hour this morning, so I gave Weider's tune a go, on my 1st attempt with it I immediately knocked off 9 seconds!! 1:47.7 (around the 380 mark), but for the rest of the hour I couldn't get close... I'll probably be spending some time on this one, and I can't recommend that tune enough if anyone's struggling to get gold.

Food for thought, what speed's are you guys/girls hitting? I'm topping out at about 205 at the end of the straight after Eau Rouge, I'm wondering if that could be raised a bit.

207-208mph. Did you lower the power, or use ballast and keep the power at max?

Also doing oil change after every 200km is necessary since your BHP starts to drop even though it doesn't show on PP!

The power and ballast are as they were, I don't think I've fiddled about with those so maybe I'm missing something.. are your down-force levels all maxed out? I had my rear lowered slightly, but apart from the gear ratio's, that's all I can think of at present.

Make sure you do an oil change. Then you'll have 1049hp and you'll be over the PP limit. Then, add 16kg of ballast to go down to the PP limit. And yeah, max DF.

Chassis goes to hell on the Lotus very quickly. Do a chassis rebuild if the car seems off or at least daily.

I very much dislike how quickly the chassis and engine degrade, and how expensive they are to repair. One little trick I use is to backup my save file before running the car. If I don't improve my time, I just restore the backup and my car is good as new once again.

Yeah I should of thought of that the day I as doing the TT. Would have saved me a couple of million credits.

To be honest, I don`t like the Lotus 97T very much. Sorry, Ayrton.

So I suffered a bit with this Super Lap. But first lap with @praiano63 `s tune. BAMMMMMMM!

Collected a useless paint chip. I`m done.

Damn! I knew I forgot something!
Thanks for reminding me!!!

Exactly why you not up there with some of the lower level professionals with that attitude honestly man. I read alot of posts barely stick my nose ito anything but I mean come on youre being a little tough on yourself there. Just be positive about it and your work will pay off, everybody is slow at first or has their bad days, its part of life. You cant sit there and have the attitude why do something when I cant beat it. You never know until you try right? @dddsprayshop
