Also, I would like to ask a question. What is this I read that the suspention settings are backwards. I.E. front is rear and rear is front. Any truth to that?

Yes, there is a lot of truth in that statement.

P.S. Watch your double postings. We don't like mods when they get angry.

yeah, ride height is borked. it operates exactly the opposite of reality.
it's not the whole suspension though.

you shouldn't need any "adapters". Lots of monitors on the market will take an HDMI. Or there are also these things called small LCD televisions which make great playstation monitors (most will also take DVI to run a PC).

$400 sounds too steep IMO.
You should be able to get a small (~24") 1080p LCD TV or monitor with HDMI input for ~$200 and a DFGT IIRC is only a $99 item.

Check out ASUS they make good monitors and there quality is like Samsung but without the price! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...sp=Cat_Monitors-_-Month_End_Sale-_-24-236-102 look at response time and refresh rates they are wonderful much better than Sony 60 inch TV's!

I have one open right now. got two guys in so far. But it's only gonna be up for a little bit longer. Gonna take off in a bit.

If there's anyone else who wants to qualify, I can join the room and stay in it until 9, then I have to get ready for the Capp race.

I had a couple of guys come into my lounge, but I was running my Viper for the Viper series ;x

My brain is liquid goo right now after seeing Nepalli set a 1:23.485. It certainly didn't look like that type of lap when I saw it. I actually managed to match that time myself in practice...after 5 laps.

As for my Q time, I left about .3 on the table but that's not too bad considering I was struggling earlier in the week. I'll say 7th or 8th starting spot. Not good.

I'm debating on whether or not I want to do one stop only. My car can actually make it to 20 laps but my times dip to 1:26.5s at the end. At least I'm set up so that it's an option unlike last time when I was forced to change my strategy and was caught unprepared.

wow were we wrong yesterday.
guess we're going to be starting mid pack after all. :nervous:

Man, hope I can even make the race. I've been on iracing all week getting ready for season 3 and have only put in a handful or two of laps.

You'll be fine. Give it 10 laps and you will be running bottom 24s.

i have a room open that i have been practicing in by myself. i will leave it open until the official quali later tonight:

Anyone mind sharing gearbox settings?

Today's the first chance I've had to practice all week, and I'm finding I can't quite find the right balance. I'm either hitting my rev limiter coming out of the tunnel, or losing seconds because my gear ratio is too wide, depending on how I've set up the box.

 I was typing it while you posted. ;P

Doc, what's the Top Speed set to when you set gears? I began at default (Top Speed 162) and found that 6th gear only goes up to 1.021?

This is what I have right now:

- Reset gears to default
- Set top speed to 149

1st - 3.565
2nd - 2.516
3rd - 1.875
4th - 1.476
5th - 1.215
6th - 1.035
Final - 4.529

With this, I'm shifting to 5th after finishing my exit at T8 and it allows me to use 3rd gear exiting T13 allowing for better drivability.

Oh, and be careful with the double posting. Mods frown upon that for some reason.

Here's my biased video:

Check out 3:00 if you just love getting angry.

And to confirm: yes there's no sound.

Quali is now CLOSED!

Probably the closest field I've ever seen. 1 simple mistake could have cost you big time.

I made a couple of those simple mistakes, to be honest. Lap 2, I hit the limiter, lap 3 I almost crashed.

But because of what you guys told me I should do, I went ahead and added myself anyway. I feel bad for it, but okay.

Final results are here. Congrats to Tony for smoking us all again.

Something tells me after tomorrow, I'll be throwing my current setup in the trash and start anew. :ill:

I kinda like the setup I've come up with for this race. Probably my best one since way back in the practice race at Tsukuba.

When it comes to setups I'm not all that good. I can run as fast as most with fixed setups, but open setups meh. I don't get it either. I understand how everything works and what it does, just don't do it as good as some people.

i dont either i bodged a setup for this race lol when i was racing in RLR people in that were dirty to hell but the ones in the teams who knew how to setup a car would basicaly pass it to all their teammates where i ran with whatever i could and as a result i never got in the top races (they had A 1-12th B 13-24th ect ect) much but then they made an A spec championship with "Recomended Cars" in GT5 i was a constant front runner lol
