I am excited to post my first tunes since 2011. There's a slight chance I will be better at it this time since I can afford a proper wheel now and I'm mostly off assists (TCS 1, ABS). I'm here to have fun mostly, where having fun partially means not spinning out all over the place, but also means driving some less common and more interesting cars.

I mentioned this one on Praiano's Tunes, but too good not to repeat here. All you need is SS Tires, Sports Brakes and Pads, and a LSD. It's good enough to win the European Championship, but that did not get a pay increase sadly. It is hella fun to take around Dragon Tail Gardens in the rain though (Also get Intermediate Tires!).

Nissan Concept VGT 2020 - 700pp​

Not a Tune Tune

A questionable car choice for 1M credits, perhaps. You can't tune it, which might be true of other VGT cars unless they are GR3 or something. Nevertheless, I won Laguna Seca WTC 700 with it on one pit stop (it's a hybrid), and it can win the WTC 700 Championship easy enough (high top speed). It has RH Tires and a Power Restrictor to get it to 700pp. Hit the 'Easy' button, it's good.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S '19 - 700pp
Half Tuned​

Another questionable car choice when I got it, but I earned the electric car trophy. It's a Turbo but can't race in the Turbo events. It also says it wants an oil change soon, so it's a little weird. The Taycan is heavy and has a ton of torque to deal with. It is not good for the WTC 700 events with fuel, because it can only do 2 or 3 laps and you can't use the fuel limiter. If you do pit, it will get refueled though! This car is good for the Schwarzwald League and the WTC Championship where it does best at Catalunya. It is fun to drive once you get used to it, especially if you like to blow past cars on the straights.

Alpine A220 1968 Race Car - 700pp​

I love this car, very fun, quick, agile for when AI wrecks in front of you. I kept the original wheels and transmission, which makes a cool chirp noise when it shifts. I added a turbo and lowered the ECU, which helped with the wheel spin (turbo lag is your friend sometimes). You still need to take care with the throttle, though with ASM it is definitely MadMyk safe. Please give feedback, as I am just starting with GT7 tunes.

Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE 2018​

This car has spent most of it's life at Laguna Seca but has been tested and has done well at other WTC 700 tracks. The trick is poor gas mileage. I needed 2 pit stops for WTC 700 race at Deep Forest recently (Fuel 5 for 4 laps, Fuel 3 for 3 laps), but still won by around 30 seconds. This is a good, safe, and I think fast tune. You can try more weight reduction and lower power maybe, but try it this way first.

Toyota FT-1 VGT Gr.3​

I feel like I nailed this one, so please give feedback on how it performs. I'm generally not great at GR3 (yet) but I can win with this bad boy. It's got a great combo of power and handling and does well at Lago Maggiore and Daytona.

I have the custom transmission, but I just set the top speed at 290 and go with it. It works for me but you can adjust as needed.

TVR Tuscan Speed 6 '00​

1.20 Update! I'm driving and tuning again, but I can't say I understand what's going on. A lot has changed since early May apparently. Whatever happened, we have 50 HP more than before, and the LSD actually works. As my dad used to say, "Whoda thunk it?". It's debatable whether or not I got better at tuning, but the car is less stiff now and is easier for me to control. Same car as the original below, just faster and furiouser!

Edit: I should mention that the Speed 6 doesn't feel like it has enough downforce which does affect its performance vs other top 700pp road cars.

Tested the Tuscan at Brands Hatch in the WTC 700 race. Managed a win with a 26 second gap to 2nd. Didn't experience any particularly bad behaviours which you'd think the track would bring out considering the weight and power of the car.

I opted to keep the original carbon exhaust over the racing pipe you fitted so didn't have to turn the ecu down as much. 5kg of ballast added and you get a car with 9 more hp. Thanks again

Thanks for the feedback. I don't pretend to be an expert at power management so your way sounds good to me with a little better power to weight ratio.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 '13​

This is a quick tune for me but the car did not put up as much of a fight as I thought it would. The Veyron was a nightmare to turn in GT5 if I remember correctly, but here it is not bad. I thought it would drive more like a Viper too, like point it straight, hit the gas and hold on tight, but it was more mild mannered than that. It still is heavy and will understeer if you come in too hot, but it is steady and confident if you don't push too hard. Have fun!

Wide tires, front and rear wing, great color choice lol. I didn't do the transmission, so some improvement could be made there.

Well, this thing is fast. Worth the price tag.

Had a blast on Le Mans. You can get 3 laps out of it at FM6 and shifting at 5,500RPM with the odd lift and coast.

First car I've used that's passed everyone on the road.

I'm not great at transmissions. I learned from Praiano and do my best. One thing is that funny things happen at the end of tuning with minor adjustments to gears and aero and such cause big changes in pp. Then it becomes a min/max game to get more power. If I drop my front aero by 3 and gear 5 by 0.003 then I can bump the ECU by one. Weird stuff, and I definitely do not know how different gear changing methods lead to different numbers.

Amuse NISMO 380RS Super Leggera​

This is a solid all around car, but what else would you expect from a tuner like Amuse. Lot's of grip, but feels like less top end so be patient and you will catch everyone soon enough. Laps time were better than a lot of 700pp cars I have been driving and/or tuning lately. It really is a pleasure to drive, just like you want a sports car to be.

Requires fuel map 6 on a lot of WTC 700 races, but can get 3 laps at Le Mans.

Ford MARK IV Race Car '67​

This bad boy took a bit of work to tame, so care is needed to drive it. Basically don't floor it unless you are going in a straight line, and maybe don't floor it at all in technical sections (you are going to win anyway so it's not worth it to push). Coming down from the last hairpin on Deep Forest, it is recommended to lift the throttle slightly on the first and last corners before the straight - it's got that much torque.

I went with the stock transmission. I enjoy the experience of the drive - it just feels more authentic. It's probably better performance overall to tune the custom transmission and drop the ECU a little, if you are into that kind of thing. Decent on fuel, you can run at fuel map 4 on Deep Forest for example. Lap times are up there with any other solid 700pp, which is better than I expected for a car as old as I am. Enjoy!

Edit: it's not terrible with RH tires at 700pp. It's more powerful than it's 380RS brother, but has bad gas mileage. What did you not like about it?

Maybe its just how it should be finally in GT7, but i feel like its always been a powerhouse in the older games, in this game it feels slow and really only fast because of its crazy downforce, it seems to be unstable going into corners, but if you can hold it, you can take longer faster corners really well.

It seems like it could have a more stable turn in and of course gas mileage. I want to run Le Mans with it but honestly I havent put many miles on mine just because I did not enjoy driving it. I ran one lap and ended up quitting just cause there's many other cars that will get 3 or even 4 laps more consistently.

I will run a few more races and report back with more specifics

Well it's unstable on turn in, that's for sure. I loosened it up a bit but it's still difficult. Basically I don't like it much right now either. I'll give it a shot again this week, but I need a break.

I think I got it now. I will post my tune later today after work. Braking is better but I think it will always be a little risky on some corners. I really like the handling now. I'll check a couple more tracks. Still bad on Deep Forest due to gas mileage.

Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo
700pp - 1.20 update​

The original version was not great, but I think I like the car now. More HP, more stable, more better. This is still a grippy car and better on smaller tracks, but I think it has enough power now to compete with the big boys. Fuel consumption is still pretty bad, but it can get 5 laps at Dragon Tail Gardens and Brands Hatch at least.

I remember barely beating the Suzuki Gr4 at Brands Hatch when I first started GT7, and now with this Amuse I can beat them all by almost a minute. Enjoy the car now, it's flippin' fast. When PD fixes the ride height bug it will suck again.

Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo​

By request, a drivable Amuse S2000. This wasn't easy, see above. I think I got it under control and performant. Braking is not 100% safe, gas mileage is bad, but I think I like this car now. My first version was the Grip tune, where I got the handling balanced out as best I could. I recommend it for tighter tracks as there is enough power to go with the better handling. Dragon Tail Gardens is a lot of fun, and so is Alsace GrB. But underpowered for Le Mans.

The next one trades downforce for power, with a slight change to ride height. It keeps the balance but a little more slidey, and gains 9hp and 9 ft-lb of torque. This is enough of a difference to catch and pass cars at Le Mans. I think it was fuel map 3 for 2 laps, then wets and FM 6 for 3 laps, then 2 more to finish it out. I had so much rain and slogged through it with a big enough lead, I chilled for 30 seconds in front of the finish line until the clock ran down to take the win in 6 laps. Not my proudest racing moment, but I would have been late to pick up my kid from school if I did lap 7.

Settings not pictured: Brake Balance -2, Transmission set to 290 and you might need to change final drive to 4.952. Let me know if this doesn't work and I'll take a proper picture. Someone named Suki did the livery.

Edit: This is miles better than it was! I am going to start using the car now! Ultimately I don’t think it’s a Le Mans car, but I’m hopeful they add some events that can take advantage of it in the future. Thank you so much!!

I really like this car, PD did a good job on this one. The Rampage is powerful with good handling at 700pp, though gas mileage is not good. Even with needing 3 stops at Le Mans, it can win by a good margin. My favorite track for the Rampage is Laguna Seca, but that's true for most American cars. I wanted to make it more stable and performant, and keep the car the way it wants to be. Enjoy!

There is nothing fancy about the transmission, but it works well for different tracks by only changing the final drive - try 3.300 for Le Mans, 3.400 for most tracks, and 3.500 for low top speed tracks like Laguna Seca (careful with the throttle though). Brake Balance 0.

quick question...is buying and installing the brake balance controller and setting it at zero the same as not buying it? my understanding is that its only necessary to install it if your moving the value off zero.

You don't need to buy it, afaik. I buy it to test while I'm tuning, but have not seen much difference lately. Praiano thinks brake balance is bugged, and I think he is probably right.

Tried this tune and the car felt glued/planted to the track at Lemans 700pp (even with my lowering the downforce!). Looking forward to trying your tune for the Amuse S2000 when I get a chance (I could never get that car to work in past GT games). Thanks again .
