The first one I don't believe was intentional at all. Dodgers thought it was and plunked one of our guys. Second one was intentional but I don't believe Kennedy meant to throw it near his head. He wouldn't do that, no pitcher would.
I agree that Puig wasn't intentional - at least not hitting him. I think he was trying to dust off the rookie and be a tough guy, but it got away and hit him. Puig got up and walked to first and it was fine.
Greinke plunked Montero
on the leg in retaliation. I didn't agree with that, but I can see why he did it. I don't like the "old school unwritten rules" of baseball, but Greinke was standing up for his rookie teammate and he harmlessly hit Montero on the leg. Benches cleared, guys got to holler, and then everyone got back to baseball and moved on. That should've been the end of it.
For Kennedy to come back and throw at Greinke's head is nearly inexcusable. It wasn't necessary and he deserves a lengthy suspension for it. For you to blame that on the Dodgers having a tough time against the Dbacks is evidence that you are a blind homer.
Follow that logic - for a team to want to brawl another team due to a bad stretch, the Pirates and Royals would be in fights constantly. The Pirates and Nationals haven't won series' in Dodger stadium for like 5 years, they're not headhunting and bringing in their bullpen to tackle coaches. It's absolutely stupid to think that was the cause of the fighting. Seriously. Stupid.
Three Dodgers players got plunked in that game. That's right, Mark Ellis got hit with a pitch
after the brawl in the 8th inning. If you're a pitcher and you can't throw inside without hitting a guy in the face, then you should never be throwing inside.
Let's also act like it's all a coincidence that Ian Kennedy is the MLB leader in throwing beanballs (I bet none of your homer D-Backs announcers or blogs thought to bring up that stat).
Yes, back and forth hitting of batters like that would certainly initiate the brawl, but frustration from losing to a single team 16 out of the previous 20 games leading up to that I'm sure didn't help either.
I'll believe what I want, you don't have any right to tell me I'm wrong. If you disagree, just say so and move on. I'm not debating this with you.
I have every right to tell you this:
you're wrong.
This is my last post on the subject.
Good idea, because you're revealing that your thoughts on the subject are incredibly biased and laughably ridiculous. You might want to re-evaluate your objectivity before spouting off on the conflicts your team gets into.
