The only reason I wrote that is because it seemed unfair to me to have included 3 Evos and only one STi. If I were choosing another Subaru (that I cut), I would take the STi Version VI ’99, but it's too close to the Wagon already in. So it seems natural I would pick the WRX STi Version II ’95 instead (and remove the Evolution V GSR ’98).

The second definition that @LongbowX lists is the one I normally associate with being "on the bubble"

Like a level that has a bubble in its fluid chamber that marks the middle point where the level is "level":)

And the bubble will go either higher or lower depending upon a small balance change.

"Teetering on a knife's edge" almost means the same thing, though it sounds a bit more drastic!:nervous:

Snowing like crazy here (8" and rising, which is significant for Western Oregon) so seemed like a good opportunity to do some testing.

note: Range Stormer. Half a million seems like a lot for something that can't have its wheels changed, can't be painted, is ugly as sin, drives like a shed, and stops like a boat with no anchor. ;) just my opinion, of course -- it fits well with the theme of the list

No, and no. :irked: It's funny... I didn't care much about painting cars in GT5, but now that I can have uniform fleets thanks to unlimited-use paint chip, it really irritates me to not be able to make a car match its stablemates.

Yeah, you're stuck with that odd orange colour. Given my Traffic list is now covered in Primer Gray (Matte Light Gray) it really stands out like a sore thumb. :scared:

(you can paint the other Land Rover though -- which is also faster in the bends, handles better, is 1/8th the price, and is prettier. Okay no, it still got beat with an ugly stick. ~.~ Do attractive SUVs even exist?)

Well to be fair though, it's inclusion was based on its offensiveness somewhat.
But yeah it's getting more offensive seeming all the time.

Look it was possible to paint it in GT5.

So, what with being snowbound (or the Western Oregon equivalent thereof, at least for a lazy pedestrian like myself) since Thursday, I've been doing a lot of buying and testing lately. I've been working on some lists for consideration down the road -- obviously we have plenty of lists right now ;) but maybe these will be of interest at some point. Or at least provide some data points for making other lists.

First, for a while I've been working on a high-end sports car list:

LIST IDEA - Premium Sports Coupés
Sports Medium Tyres

Under consideration:

0:00.000 -- Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione '08
0:00.000 -- Amuse NISMO 380 RS Super Leggera
0:00.000 -- Aston Martin V12 Vantage '10

0:00.000 -- SRT Viper GTS '02
0:00.000 -- Toyota FT-86 G SPORTS Concept '10
0:00.000 -- TVR Tamora ’02

(considered and tested but struck:
Ferrari F430 '06, Nissan GTR '07, - supercars, not sports cars
Art Morrison Corvette '60 - awesome but expensive and not stylistically consistent.)

(most likely to be struck:
Amuse NISMO 380 RS Super Leggera, more of a tuner than a sports coupe... plus one more, but I can't decide.)

I've tested them all so far at two tracks, and have a similar time spread as the Luxury list (with the slowest cars here doing similar times to the fastest Luxury cars.)

(conditions for all tests: Arcade Time Trial, aids off/abs1/BB5/5, grip reduction real, 3 clean/tidy laps,)

As if that wall of text wasn't enough, I've just put together what I think is a fun list of mid-range GT cars, all of which can be painted and numbered, and are premium. They run in a 5-second spread at Deep Forest on RHs; I'm in the middle of testing them with SSs and thinking about testing with SMs.

Despite all that spending, I'm also thinking of working on a list of low-powered race cars, using the Suzuki Cappucino and Toyota 86 Race Cars as a starting point. Unfortunately there aren't many more customizable race cars in this range, but that aside there are a lot of choices.

Well I have an idea for a list too but I don't want to let out any of the details until the amount that we have to test goes down. I would say we have plenty on our plate right now. Also I thought we were done testing the legends list.

@amarynceos I admire your dedication to the cause!

I personally think that the Race car list is very interesting. I don't think that's ever been done? I definitely like the idea. Would be fun.

The more lists the merrier I say! Variety is the spice of life, so "they" say. Besides, I perennially save my money. This is a good way to spend it.

I definitely like the race car idea sounds like it would be a great idea. I do like the idea of more and more lists but my money is not unlimited so I say we stick with the lists at hand for now

Perhaps not unlimited, but it's always possible make more! The Red Bull Events are pretty good for that. My 90s Sports (And the "Sporty" list if it comes to fruition) are not too expensive. The race car list is definitely pricier....but money well spent I think!

Just want to bump this up in my watched threads frankly.

But I'm keeping an eye on everything here, just FYI. :D
I want to get the traffic list sorted & out.
And then I guess we'll start focusing on the 90s sports next.... since that does seem to be a frugal credit expenditure list.
But don't be afraid to post test times for whatever, since we can keep them here for future reference. 👍
