................Serious? Judging by the cars knocked up by Ssangyong, no, not really, but little known fact is, even Samsung makes cars - currently Renaults. Then there's GM Korea, formerly known as Daewoo. Some say, Daewoo saved GM's butt when they were in trouble by selling truck loads of Chevy Cruze in China, amongst other cars...
Didn't GM Sell Daewoo along with Isuzu and Suzuki who was bought then by Volkswagen Group

Samsung makes cars? Wow! The rest, i already know.
Samsung actually rebadges Renault cars to sell in Korea.

No, Daewoo still belongs to GM. Isuzu belongs to no one, same goes to Suzuki.
Suzuki used to be owned by GM, When GM was in risk of getting bankrupt, GM had to sell Suzuki along with Isuzu and then Volkswagen group bought part of Suzuki and Suzuki still has part belonging to VW group but since VW and Suzuki relations are a disaster Suzuki are fighting to break relations with VW Group.

Oh, i didn't read this part of the history.

...........Samsung actually builds Renaults in Korea. Here's a wiki link:

Hell I've seen Samsung-made Renaults roam the streets (with Made In Korea sticker on the windshield) here so....

Oh and Isuzu is now Toyota's. Suzuki's major shareholders are the founding family members. They were tryin' something out with Maruti of India, but dunno if anything came from that....

But not in Japan

Where Polyphony Digital is based

And Kaz will spend most of his time

As will his workforce

Because Kia sold just 2 cars in Japan

Japan is not South Korea

They're different places

Separated by many miles

So Kaz probably hasn't quite got the memo about the Korean big two

Which by the way, is there really any other serious Korean car maker?
75% of the cars added to GT6 at release were not Japanese FYI. GT is an international game now that happens to be produced in Japan.

Exactly.

The only thing i found about Toyota purchasing Isuzu was a 2006 news about Toyota purchasing only 5.9% of Isuzu.

@Maldoxx hmm you seem to be right about that, I can't seem to find anything about it either....I remember hearing about that engine deal, then news articles few years ago said Toyota was steadily increasing their share of Isuzu, the way they were doing with Fuji Heavy Industries (which makes Subarus)....:(

Yeah, i also found that engine deal. But the rest were just repeated news of the 2006 deal.

......Heheh it fell into the deep dank dark depth of THE INTERNET!!.......
Won't be seen again.....
Anyway, I think I got it wrong. Strong possibility. My memory's all shot, you know.

I was referring to this

If he doesn't know Kia, he's dumb. Kia is the one of the Big Two in Korea.

Because

Kia only sold 2 units in Japan so Kaz probably don't know the existence of this car manufacturer.

And that post from Maldoxx was the reply.

Koenigsegg really deserves its place in Gran Turismo as well as Skoda.

Porsche is a matter of course.
I agree. Although Porsche's rights are blocked by EA, we'll have to find a away to put Porsches in GT without getting in trouble with EA and Porsche company. Anyways, Porsche is also part from VW Group.

VW Group Manufacturers are: Volkswagen, Seat, Porsche, Audi, Bugatti and Skoda.

Next to impossible, a legal contract is a legal contract.

Porsche is also part from VW Group.

So...? The list is also missing manufacturers.

How Forza managed to get some Porsches?

EA blocking contracts? That's no surprise.

PD doesn't wanting to pay very high.
Or there are clauses in the contract which PD doesn't want to concent to.

Or both.

We just don't know enough to say "Pffffft typical Kaz lol" or "Boo EA/Porsche I h8 u!1!!!!1!!!!!"

Hm... EA normally makes contracts with absurd values of money or make that annoying exclusivity contracts.

And Lamborghini

Btw: as far as I know, the EA contract with Porsche ends this year so...

Does not matter; 5 cents say EA will automatically renew that contract. ;)
I'm guessing Porsche might have something to say about whether it gets renewed. With the PC sim racing market taking off and Forza, Project Cars and GT7 on next-gen consoles, hopefully it's time for a rethink on Porsche's part.

..................If EA offers high enough $$ then Porsche will stick to the Canadian Giants (EA) like a gum on the sole of your shoe (or a leech, take your pick)...

Like i said, EA likes to offer astronomical contracts.
