Then sometime this month we'll get the Subaru VGT and maybe the Alfa to stick to it. But as I've admitted, I think too deeply into things.
Yeah, just a tad. :) I'm pretty sure those two are a bit further down the line. For now, though, I sense Circuito de la Sierra (can we start calling it by its official name now?) being this month's content update.

Anyway, could we please start getting back on-topic? We've been going for quite a while now without discussing anything remotely related to mapping the track.

That's the problem. No new info has been released. No track = No map. Without these side convos, this thread is dead.
We could be discussing possible alternate routes that would bring the track out to the announced 27km.

The layout has already been proven to be different then the actual layout of the roads in that area. We need to see an actual layout/map of the track to progress this any further. At least, that's my opinion.

Is there any info about PD being present at this year's Gamescom? Maybe during the event days we'll hear something more about upcoming track.

I think we're more likely, if anything at all, to hear something announced at the weekend as it's the Pebble Beach concours delegance and Kaz always attends.

Probably will end up with nothing happening, but it made me think we're still missing quite a few of the Sema and Pebble Beach cars and it would be clever marketing to release some during the event.

As I said before the 3 tracks have all been released with cars and they could do the same with Zahara.

(As an alternative, it's not that far from Pebble Beach to the Willow springs other tracks...)

Any coordination between the FT1 and Zahara would be purely coincidental, there isnt any reason they would hold one for the other. I expect Zahara to be here this month. Releasing update 1.11 was weird because it was so small and claimed to only having bug fixes. That's very abnormal for PD, normally they'd just call that 1.10.1. I think they put the unlock code for the content in the game. I forgot about Pebble Beach, we know Kaz will be there, and it doesn't normally overlap Gamescom so I think that probably does hurt the odds of PD being there.

But being Pebble Beach would be a great opportunity for Alfa Romeo to unveil their VGT and have a full scale model there. It would be especially perfect because if I'm correct their car will be a tribute to the original 1952 Disco Volante Spider, which makes it really suit the venue. Not to mention Alfa Romeo has just began sales in the US the past few weeks, I've seen a couple of 4C out on Woodward (major car hub street and especially this time of the year, I live near it) and they with in the past week have gotten a 4C set up front and center under spotlights in the window of the Fiat dealer. But being new to the US launching their VGT in the US would be a favorable idea for marketing. Getting the Alfa VGT at Pebble Beach makes a lot of sense, and I still think we will get the Alfa and Zahara at the same time.

@Amac500. That was very well thought out and you have/gave fantastic examples of the cars. I think you and sirjim73 might be on to something.
I was unaware that Kaz made the trip to Pebble each year. I aways learn something new at GTPlanet.
Thanks.

Kaz goes to award the Gran Turismo Award every year. Cars like the Plymouth XKR Ghia Roadster and Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 are in the game because they won the award. Last year if I remember an old open top Aston racer won, disappoint they didn't put that in GT6, likely won't be til GT7.

I remember once that they codenamed the Alfa Romeo Vision GT as "Alfa Romeo 6C Biposto Vision GT", probably it will have the same design from the trailer (or tweaked). Also, when it's released alongside Zahara, that car would be the first thing you'll drive in Zahara.

Perhaps it's more likely we'll see something during next week after the event.

The theory that the car will come with the track seems to make sense, let's hope.

👍

From memory we got Red Bull Ring and the car update the week after Forza announced the Ring at E3. Hopefully PD responds the same way a week after (or sooner from) Gamescom.

Hey PD, how about a single make Vision GT race next time (enough with the time trials already)?

I found a picture of the town in the video.

Nice picture. There are some on page 1 I believe, & I also placed a ton on page 3 of this thread.

Edit, no pictures of the town on page 1.
