Let us hope that Wednesday (Japanese time) will bring us the update!

Then let us wish for Friday since I don't think it is going to happen tomorrow.

Anything after that, well I give up.
As proven in my research a few posts up, it will be on Wednesday or Friday but it looks like Friday will be the most likely time. Do not say Thursday (Japan Time) as there has never been a GT6 update on Thursday.

Oh man, I don't want to sound like I'm concern trolling here but after watching the video (thank you so much TURISMOBAD!) I have a sinking feeling this will not be a track available for online play. No functioning pit and the way it starts just like the Goodwood track. Eep. :nervous: Still hyped though. Please let this track be available to just cruise around on.. pleeease.
Umm what ? Just because that particular "special event" started its track like goodwood doesn't mean It won't be online. You know what else doesn't have a functioning pit ? Gran Turismo Arena, SSR 7and all dirt and snow tracks yet they're still available online. I think having your biggest track in the game unavailable online..is a pretty stupid move, and I don't think Kaz is that stupid.

I'm absolutley pumped for Zahara now. I wasn't when it was 'just a track' but now that we know definitively that it is a soecial event I'm going to enjoy every bit hopefully. That and Quick Match along with two VGT's in v1.12 I'm finally going to have a reason to stop playing GAS and play GT6!

Those green sector markers are practically before every corner. They're kind of reminiscent of how the course maker tracks were split into sectors, hmm.

I'd be happy if all you can do in course maker is position each sector marker manually and the algorithm decides the specifics of how they join together, along with the same old parameters we had per sector in GT5.

If Course Maker was in the upcoming update, wouldn't we have either have seen it or even heard about it though?

Waiiit I never said course maker was in the update! Someone earlier pointed out that they said they might release their own course maker track(s) before they release the actual course maker, leading to speculation that Zahara might be one of them.

Ok, just looked as if you were hinting at it. I honestly don't think PD would do that as I think it would be in their best interest to keep the fanbase happy by not holding back features that are ready. Kinda like how Zahara is pretty much ready but they are holding it back for the time being.

I will be so disappointed if they didn't put in 'TIIIMME EXTENSION' in this Sierra event.
They have a soothing female voice instead that sounds like the one from Grid Autosport.
But I think it wouldn't be better if there wasn't any SFX placed on the time limit extention.

Zahara shows 22 cars in time trial rally... Why can't PD enable 30 people, for example? Is because if there are 22 cars in time trial rally, then more than 16 drivers should be allowed in Arcade and Online Mode too! :(

If you notice, the game is running on a PC. You can see it in the bottom corner.

Do you mean this one?

Well in case v1.12 releases tomorrow for some reason, here is my prediction.
v1.12 will include;
- Circuito de la Sierra
- Toyota FT-1 VGT
- Alfa Romeo 6C Bisposto VGT
- Quick Match
- Window Banner Customisation
- Various other small tweaks
- Sierra Time Rally Special Event
*This prediciton does not include things hidden in the games coding.

Those 22 don't necessarily have to exist at once. Think of games like Outrun.
And we see 22 cars but I bet there are more, he didn't drive a perfect lap.

The PS3 hardware can't handle more than 16 at cars at once (it can barely handle that). My guess would be that in this time trial/challenge/rally/thingy the game only renders cars that are within a certain distance ahead/behind you, so at any given time it's only rendering maybe a half dozen cars which falls well within it's limited capabilities. Obviously, this wouldn't be possible for normal circuit racing.

shortly after that they'll announce that GT6 was all just a massive joke! ;)

They pretty much spilled the beans about that on December 6th, 2013. :sly:

Some of these new features have me hopeful! It ALMOST feels like PD is learning! I really hope that working on the PS4 allows them to not worry about technical issues as much. Checkpoints AND 22 AI cars!? That' something else!

I think that I prefer the track of Circuito de la Sierra without many edges (red white red white...-I'm Spanish and I don't know how you name this ). I think that a more natural track, like in the trailer, is better for a rally.

All in all, is greate have a new track like this.

kerbs

Yes it seems like a lot of racetrack elements like the kerbs and tall wire fences and the tents have been added since the first video. That video did have a few kerbs but they're almost every corner here. There's even one that appears half way down a straight for a few meters for no reason, which is very 'course maker'.

The car is too stable for a stock car. Never seen anyone drive that car with that much stability. Can anyone make out what tires are used ? .. I'm guessing it's a stock car since it's given to you when you enter the event.

agreed with you... is he the best driver in PD for them to make that footage ? He seem fairly confident driving so fast around that route... must have played a lot
