Sometimes GT6 has gotten updates on Wednesday's. I am hoping it is tomorrow, well it's after midnight central USA time here, that the update comes with the new track. Remember, the seasonals are updated every Thursday so we might get it either Wednesday or Thursday.

That makes sense, I mean, it should be released with new seasonals including the novel VGT and cars added to the game., it should be one with the Toyota VGT and the Nismo

That's what I always think too but for some reason it never seems to happen, always end up a day off. PD being PD I think Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday have an even chance.

We are sure that the update will come this week?

Except for one member, no one identified this information.

He could be wrong, right? Wait and see :)

The PS3 hardware can't handle more than 16 at cars at once (it can barely handle that). My guess would be that in this time trial/challenge/rally/thingy the game only renders cars that are within a certain distance ahead/behind you, so at any given time it's only rendering maybe a half dozen cars which falls well within it's limited capabilities. Obviously, this wouldn't be possible for normal circuit racing.

If they generally render cars that are far out of view they must be incredibly stupid. There's no reason to do that.

Never saw PD say the track was releasing in February. Never saw PD say next week, either.
In February or January Sony execs I think it was at a round table discussion said the track would be out in February, obviously wasn't. Last week at whatever event PD was at in Japan, where we got all the footage of the FT1 VGT and the Zahara track itself, PD themselves said that the Zahara track, new VGT's, and new dashboard options would come in an update available next week, which is now obviously this week.

I would be loling if it comes out on a Monday despite the speculations of it being either today, tomorrow, or Friday.

I'd give it a wait for next week, but geez don't you get tired of having your hopes crumble?

I don't think the opponents cars are rendered if they are far outside the player's FOV, but I'd assume that for any part of the track that is rendered, all cars on the currently rendered section of track are rendered to varying LODs, based on how far away they are. It's fine to have 22 or more cars on Zahara because you can be certain that the 22 cars will not all be in view at the same time.

There is no hope. Apparently, a member of GTPlanet said us that the next update is released this week.

But he's the only reporting this news. That's why we doubt it.

One thing is sure: 1.12 arrives this month!

the pd taught me not to buy their games at launch, this lesson I learned.

She's going to have to work hard to sell me the GT7

game is for fun and not to be anxious and disappointed

Well he does a complete lap in the video...

Well we see him pass a finish line in the clip, I was hoping someone more eagle-eyed could confirm it was the same start/finish line, and Beat the Beat obliged :)

No they are not rendered if they are out of sight, that's pretty much what rendering means. Out of sight cars are simple raw data, they are rendered on the screen if you should be seeing them.

See @Amac500 's comment above and the news item reported by Jordan which states "According to comments in the live broadcast, the track and “Quick Match” mode are both set to appear in GT6 update 1.12, slated for release sometime this week."

It's not a rumour reported by a GTP member, it's mentioned in PD's live broadcast.
