I wonder if any of the racing leagues plan to do a 24 Hours of Zahara on this track.
Track would be great for all kinds of racing, endurance included! The only thing to consider would be those jumps as far as what kind of cars could be used. I have to think if your trying to do a big full race 600pp cars could get hard to handle. Certainly LMP1 I think is to fast to run it. Once you get up to the pp of LMP1 cars they start flying at Bathurst, so I have to think this would be worse. Something like the Mazda Roadster TC's I think would be a total riot, a hot hatch endurance race would be cool too, using those late 90's Honda Civic and VW Golf race cars. Maybe put em together into 2 classes even. Would be a riot, this track should rock with time change!

@Unidentified you must not have read the thread because nobodies moaning in here... at all.

I'm pretty sure people are setting themselves up for a fall here, there has been no *official* announcement, so people expecting it now, today, tomorrow, or this week have essentially come to that conclusion on their own... it is NOT mentioned on the GT site yet, and is therefore not official.

I wonder if this update is being delayed in the same scenario as the Senna content.

Most likely just PD being PD
Naw I'm not gonna start speculating on that yet. They said this week, we're not even half way through. If we get nothing Friday, then I'll get on that train.

Delayed again I guess, as when they said it was coming in february.. Hmmm.. PD beeing PD, why would it surprise anyone?

PD is not late until everyone has reached 0:00 Monday. We just have to be patient.

PD hasn't made any official statement that the update or track is being released this week. All this speculation is based on some random comment from a press event, so the only thing they're going to be late on is meeting some unjustified expectations. The only official thing we've heard is that there will be an update sometime in September. If October 1st comes and there hasn't been an update, then we can get the torches and pitchforks back out. 👍

I'm wondering if there are other modes included with this track. You can see 2 boxes right after he presses on the Zahara icon from the main menu. These:

Also, page 67!!

Still nothing on the Pitstop blog which leads me to two conclusions. We got PD'delay'd or they're uploading it to servers and whatnot.

Or rather, the official announcement was months ago, so there's no particular reason to think that they'll come through this week instead of any other.

This track, IMO, looks rather boring if I'm sounding honest. As many have said, there are too many friendly corners on this track that allows one to speed through them with ease, and not somewhat hard corners where you have to (if you choose) take risk and blast through them as fast as you can, like how it is in rally racing per se.

Also, was it really necessary to add a long, like, loooooong, guard rails for both sides? I mean there is something called 'invisible" barriers' that are usually used for said games for one particular purpose. To prevent the player(s) from leaving the game's world, stage or track. Without it, to make this track look more of a sprint course, it just looks very silly, although I'm sure the scenery will look gorgeous (and it better too).

I'm excited and not excited for this track though. I'm excited because hey, new track baby. :sly: But not excited because it won't keep my intrest in playing GT6 for long, like the Red Bull Ring and the VGT cars. Just want that damn Course Maker, geez PD...

So you clamor and clamor and clamor ad infinitum for this new track and when it arrives you hate on PD even more rather than being happy about it.

That makes no sense.

Typical hater.
I don't care what you or anyone saids. I shared my opinion and I'm sticking with it, so go ahead and mindlessly call me a "PD hater" all you want. Also I'm pretty sure you can't call someone a hater, so if I were you, I edit that out.

EDIT: Reported.
