I don't care what you or anyone saids. I shared my opinion and I'm sticking with it, so go ahead and mindlessly call me a "PD hater" all you want. Also I'm pretty sure you can't call someone a hater, so if I were you, I edit that out.

EDIT: Reported.
Why not? The word gets flung around here all the time. So does "fanboy." What makes my post so different?

EDIT: I edited "hater" out because though I don't see it as an insult, if you take it as such, then I suppose it's against the AUP, not to mention being a tad over-the-line. Fair enough. I just want to know why you singled my post out when there are others like it that have gone unreported.

This track, IMO, looks rather boring if I'm sounding honest. As many have said, there are too many friendly corners on this track that allows one to speed through them with ease, and not somewhat hard corners where you have to (if you choose) take risk and blast through them as fast as you can, like how it is in rally racing per se.

Also, was it really necessary to add a long, like, loooooong, guard rails for both sides? I mean there is something called 'invisible" barriers' that are usually used for said games for one particular purpose. To prevent the player(s) from leaving the game's world, stage or track. Without it, to make this track look more of a sprint course, it just looks very silly, although I'm sure the scenery will look gorgeous (and it better too).

I'm excited and not excited for this track though. I'm excited because hey, new track baby. :sly: But not excited because it won't keep my intrest in playing GT6 for long, like the Red Bull Ring and the VGT cars. Just want that damn Course Maker, geez PD...
I agree with you 100% Toko. This track does look boring. Real boring.

I might download the update and try it, but I cant see it holding my interest for more than a lap or 2.

I have even given up on the course creator, PD had a lump of gold with this track and they stuffed it up (like everything they touch lately) and I am quite certain that they will stuff up the course creator as well.

I hope they prove me wrong, but I really dont think they will

It seems like people are kind of underestimating how challenging the track will be. The person driving seems to be either a professional driver or a PD employee, and the car he's using isn't a cakewalk to handle. It looks like that the track flows nicely, and there aren't too many long and dull straights. You also have to take the elevation changes into account as well. Overall, the track reminds me of Nurb without sharp or tight turns.

People are going to complain no matter what, if it was a tight winding track it wouldn't be fast enough (though it's likely the complaining would be done by the same people claiming it looks too fast).

So what source other than some random guy on GTP do we have that the update is coming this week? I'd love for it to show up but it's important to remember we've been given no official word as to it coming out this week.

You should have thought twice when writing that post before posting it then, because I already reported you. All I did was share an opinion that shouldn't have got me be called a 'hater' over my views on the track after watching the vid of it. It's how I felt towards it and I wanted to express it by sharing my thoughts on it without starting an argument with anyone like before.

I'm sorry if one expressing his or her thoughts on something and sharing it as a opinion isn't allowed in this fourm.

Back on topic. One thing I'm looking forward is wanting to replicate Outun, but many cars has there tops closed soooo.

This makes me worry about what you do in your spare time... :nervous:

Not once have I agreed with you, John, but this time I somewhat do. With every time I watch the full lap, the track looks more and more....easier.... Not the technical, driver's haven that it was hyped up to be... another thing that kills the track is the cardboard grass at the end of the track. The imaginary walls, in my opinion, are too close to the track, they need to be a bit further down the slope or better yet, not there at all!!

Don't get me wrong everyone, I may still enjoy this track but it won't be as good as I thought it might be.

Watch Circuit de la Sarthe on Youtube, it's boring.
But driving on this track with LMP1, it's a different story, it's exhilarating.

Judge a track via Youtube is a big mistake!
I also watched the february preview of Zahara. It was awesome.
Looking at this .... seems boring.
Why all the barriers and kerbs and flags etc. all over the place ?
I may change opinion after driving it, but for now....:nervous:

This track will keep me busy until drive club arrives thats 3weeks left cant wait i just think pd has left it too late to release the big updates but anyways its been a good journey with gt6 tnx pd for everythn

You do know that owning Drive Club doesn't keep you from putting GT6 in?

Barriers allows the safety of spectators and houses. There are barriers on London, for example.
Flags allows animation on the track. Not really .... I don't see where the problem is.

Or rather, the official announcement was months ago, so there's no particular reason to think that they'll come through this week instead of any other.
It was official in so far as a representative of SCEA was chatting with Jordan about it in an unofficial broadcast.

But let's not forget SCEA's track record on these kinds of things, always jumping the gun, hyping up too soon, getting things plain wrong, putting lies on the back of the game boxes etc. Somebody should do something about it, it's annoying.

Yesss because drive is far more beautiful its not a sim but a fun game and i wont be waiting a year for updates lol

No offence intended but the irony here was impossible to resist. You do realise that drive club was supposed to be a launch title for the ps4 in November 2013 ...? So you've been waiting 9/10 months for updates already

Anyway, the new track comes out whenever it arrives, though I do think, even as an ongoing player, it's probably too late for many people.

I can wait a week longer though. I'm not back from hols till then  Had a fab day at Pompeii yesterday, much more fun than any game

I'm very much the same here. Holiday's start next Friday for two weeks so as long as we get it before then I'll be happy. I'm looking forward to the Sierra Time Rally event as it seems really 'old school' but as I said above, I'm a bit bummed out that there is cardboard grass and imaginary walls that I'd prefer to be either a bit more down the slope or not there at all!

U are right drive club was delayed but its the full game that is understandble but pd delaying 1 track for 9 months is a joke

Waiting for a full game for a year is worth it compared to a track

I think many people will get down to earth after some very fabled games will be released. Also people should learn to enjoy more what is available and they already own instead of endlessly complaining.

That said PCars looks good hope wont end like 99% pc sims; empty rooms, cheater, mods conflicting etc etc

No. Photo mode and weather (!) will come via patch. And there will no doubt other things.

For tracks, GT6 has 38 unique tracks, modeled with surgical precision.
3 variations were added with Senna and there will be a new track of 27 kms (!), this month.

Until then, all content was offered. For now, PoDi is the example to follow.
You should also know that they have planned at least one year of update for GT6....

By the way.... Drive Club has five locations, 25 unique tracks

So you'd rather wait for a full game for a year rather than a single track that wasn't 'officially' announced and still technically hasn't been announced... You do realise that an incomplete game is a heck of alot worse than a track that hasn't technically been announced.

No problem, just an opinion...
I had really (really) high expectations for this new road...
The februari teaser showed a "free" road with beautiful scenery, ideal for cruising, not a "race" track and I got stoked.

As far as known now, PD is going to let us do some "arcade mode" rally thing (by the way: you will not find barriers and kerbs around a rally track, spectators and houses protected by a plastic ribbon on the other hand... remember Eiger Nordwand) Overtaking as much cars as you can in a limited time frame, points lost when you hit another car ... come on... where is the coin slot ... :boggled:

As I wrote in me previous post, I may change my opinion after driving it...
Looking again at the Youtube film (I mentioned it before) Zahara dissapoints me. May also have something to do with the too big triple screen setup, but it looks completely Arcade-ish to me...not at all what I expected (hoped) to get.

Just my 2cts.
