Well this thread escalated quickly.
I understand the disappointed view points though, having a nice, natural location and then plastering concrete blocks, barriers and flags everywhere is a bit like having a classic hit movie with great scenes and acting, then replacing all the music with dubstep. i.e it would be better being left how it was without the modern injection to 'improve' things.
I understand the barriers and all would be safety features, but you just don't see anything like that in most public road races.
For me that's not where the main disappointment is however, mine would be that the tarmac itself is very flat, unvaried and lifeless. I was hoping for some rough country lane roads that vary in width and camber constantly, with bumps and potholes to upset the car.
i think he means that we had no update (read news) about the track for seven monthsNo updates for a year? Last time I checked my version number there'd been 11 after 10 months!
(by the way: you will not find barriers and kerbs around a rally track, spectators and houses protected by a plastic ribbon on the other hand...

They put the blocks and curbs there because they don't want to promote street racing I believe...

Very kind of u too google thatThere's this thing called "google" that holds all the answers. I didn't need the site though because I paid attention in school and I also read the AUP for this site which states you will use correct punctuation when posting here. 👍

You called me?You left out a comma after 'school'.
There are bound to be a few hidden gems in there, though; it is 15+(?) miles after all. Never judge a book by its cover. This makes me worry about what you do in your spare time...
Not once have I agreed with you, John, but this time I somewhat do. With every time I watch the full lap, the track looks more and more....easier.... Not the technical, driver's haven that it was hyped up to be... another thing that kills the track is the cardboard grass at the end of the track. The imaginary walls, in my opinion, are too close to the track, they need to be a bit further down the slope or better yet, not there at all!!
Don't get me wrong everyone, I may still enjoy this track but it won't be as good as I thought it might be.

Nope. You misheard lol.You called me?

@stuff1138 Sierra is a really nice place to cruise in, and seeing sceneries like what I posted above just. It feels good.
Take a look at this one here. Without the loooooong guard rails, this course would have been perfect!
