I don't exactly see what's wrong with an "arcade" event when this game isn't even a "simulator" in the first place. Notice those quotations.
No ?
I thought GT series were proud to be "THE ULTIMATE DRIVING SIMULATOR".

PD clearly never pretended to be a RACE SIMULATOR.

This might have been their chance: a beautiful and very long winding road, nice scenery...
And it came out as what ?

Btw: there IS an arcade departement in the game

No ?

Never fall for a marketing slogan. C'mon now, we know better then that. I think.

A beautiful and very long winding road, nice scenery... You answered your own question.

Why did they say this week... So annoying I mean just why don't they release it, it's obviously ready...

No one said this week.

"They" as in PD didn't. That's why it's very important to make sure you know where your information is coming from. As it is we're going to have page after page of PD hate if the update doesn't come tomorrow.

I understand the disappointed view points though, having a nice, natural location and then plastering concrete blocks, barriers and flags everywhere is a bit like having a classic hit movie with great scenes and acting, then replacing all the music with dubstep. i.e it would be better being left how it was without the modern injection to 'improve' things.

I understand the barriers and all would be safety features, but you just don't see anything like that in most public road races.

For me that's not where the main disappointment is however, mine would be that the tarmac itself is very flat, unvaried and lifeless. I was hoping for some rough country lane roads that vary in width and camber constantly, with bumps and potholes to upset the car.

If they don't garnish it with a couple of cars, not VGT cars but real cars, like they did for the RBR, then I'll be disappointed. The adding of cars to GT6 has been beyond woeful so far, I'd love to hear what Kaz thinks about it.

Looking again at the Youtube film (I mentioned it before) Zahara dissapoints me. May also have something to do with the too big triple screen setup, but it looks completely Arcade-ish to me...not at all what I expected (hoped) to get.

Just my 2cts.

Well, for reference and confirmation of your theory, here's a video I recently shot of me driving around the Nordschliefe in the Yellowbird with no aids or abs and on CM tires. This was an incredibly hair-raising drive and I was on the verge of complete death during the entire lap, yet on the video it looks like I'm on a Sunday drive in a well-behaved car. If you've ever driven the Yellowbird with no aids on CM tires you'll know it's far from well-behaved. :nervous: For whatever reason, the near-death feeling gets lost when watching it on youtube.

So you'd rather wait for a full game for a year rather than a single track that wasn't 'officially' announced and still technically hasn't been announced... You do realise that an incomplete game is a heck of alot worse than a track that hasn't technically been announced.
This track was meant to be out on febuary and no updates for a year and same time they keep telling us such n such updates r coming 'soon' is a put off

It's something PD often fails to do, just look at how flat Cote d'Azur is, no bumps, no anything. The real Monaco circuit however is full of bumps and tricky corner entries and exits.

No updates for a year? Last time I checked my version number there'd been 11 after 10 months! 1 New track venue with 2 layouts, 2 alternate layouts for existing tracks, Mario Andretti's Hudson, the BMW M4 and Stingray unveils, FT-1 Concept unveil, The Lexus/GT-R/TS030 pack, Ayrton Senna content including 3 more cars, GT Academy, The Redbull X challenge including 4 more cars, 7 Vision GT cars from Mercedes/BMW/VW/Mitsubishi/Nissan and Aston Martin, additional customisation tweaks including custom rear wings, racing numbers and caliper paint, and added functionality like the Data Logger and the GPS Visualiser, online options, 3D and Multi-Monitor support, as well as continuing seasonal events?

... and yet you want to complain about something not being added that hasn't actually ever been officially announced by Kaz, or PD, with no official release date ever being posted.

Also, text speak is a no-no according to the rules, as is double posting... punctuation wouldn't hurt either.

Côte d'Azur isn't the real Monaco.

Well most anyway

I think you need this more than you need new cars. http://www.wikihow.com/Sample/Proper-Punctuation

You have absolutely no solid knowledge on how many people like or do not like these cars to make such a statement in this thread, where it's not even on the topic.

Your logic is "I don't like it so no one else likes them too"
Lol the difference is i am not a fan boy

Thanks Brandon, I totally loved that ! My favourite track and not so favourite car :scared:
Especially when being on vacation and not able to get near my rigg.

I see how the video does not do justice to the feeling you must have had.
That is also why I wrote that my negative perception of the new Zahara track may be connected to that fact.
Your setup has better proportions than the one in the Zahara video too...
So... I will keep my hopes up.
But the overdone race scenery is still there I'm afraid...
