Maybe really good AI isn't a realistic expectation in the GT series?

Grid Autosport has terrific AI as well, and on the PS3. Because it's a simcade game with rivals they made a couple of other teams more aggressive than the rest so you need to always remain aware of where they are on the track. Take their AI model, remove the rival's aggressiveness and it would be absolutely perfect for the GT series. Of course TenD wouldn't like it because they'd just be "cruise missles"...you know...cars racing on the racing line that don't wander off that racing line every other corner and actually try to keep pace with you.:lol:
:lol::lol:.

Yep, there is nothing quite as exhilarating as racing against the on-rails supercars that you can beat in your honda odyssey people mover!!

I guess some people are just blind to what good racing AI is. Poor buggers, I feel for them, I really do.

I had quite a good race with GAS last night. One of those races where there's a reverse grid, so I started in front of the Ravenwest guys and managed to get a pretty quick run past the traffic up to the front. Built a decent lead so that they only caught me on the second to last lap, and then had an extremely tense last two laps driving really, really defensively trying to stop them getting past. They got me a couple of times, but I managed to get it back the next corner and lock them behind with some well chosen defensive lines and some strategically slow apex speeds when it looked like they might get a run on me out of the corner.

There was a little bumping but it was mostly pretty clean, and I was once again impressed that the techniques that work to stifle real world drivers worked so well on the AI. Honestly, a real driver would have probably spat the dummy and made a dive even though I was technically driving cleanly.
