I managed to gold the LM55 VGT seasonal with no problem. The car sounds amazing, the handling is great!

Looks cool, and it has an 8 speed box, so that's something. I just wonder if any of the Vision GT cars have more than 8 gears. Nike VGT to have a 9 speed?

Also, the engine sounds great. I just hope it's a Wankel.

Any Mazda will certainly have a Wankel/Rotary engine.

AWD? Huh. I know AWD is allowed (to a limited extant) in real LMP1 cars, but such cars are usually hybrids. Well, I can't complain. Even if I don't have GT6.

You know what, I think this car sounds fantastic. It sounds even better then the 787B on the game, its so much more raw and raspy and loud. Even the echos as it goes away are just phenomenal.

Looks like its coming from GRID.

2. 787B should SOUND like this VGT ingame. Much more improved there.

The 787B had the most awesome sounds ever. The Furai performed like a flying saucer on steroids. I think Mazda put it all together.
This is a car I can make friends with easy.

I wouldn't mind the 787B having the same sound as the LM55, but I still like the 787's whiny sound. The LM55 sounds more like an NA F1. But that's not a bad thing.

Maybe I'm the only one who isn't excited about this car, but all Mazda ever does is pay tribute to the 787B. This has to be like the dozenth time. Be it through name, or the number 55, or the livery, Mazda just rehashes the same old territory. They're like the high school quarterback living in the past. Do something new Mazda, because you have new and modern technology and you even have a modern Le Mans car. They could've even spin this differently in a way that makes more sense for their business today, like saying this is a future version of their current Sky-Active LMP they campaign in the Tudor Series. But no, this is just Mazda daydreaming once again on the same page of the yearbook while the rest of the automotive world moves ahead.

As far as I know, the AWD LMP has is SH-AWD aka front is electric while rear is the petrol engine.

This Mazda as far as I can tell has a full AWD. Thats feels like a pikes peak car to me.

Yeah, that's how AWD works in LMP1 I believe. I know the R18 works that way.

I believe the R18 has a Flywheel system, which is what makes it work that way.
