Mazda LM55 Vision GT Revealed, coming with a new batch of holiday seasonals!

It's bang on in terms of specs/performance though, so it's at the very least heavily influenced by that rules package.

I always thought it seemed more of a GT3 spec car. GT500 is way too chopped up.

I already told you my opinion on that, because over the last 23 years Mazda has nothing but pay tribute to the car, despite having other things to promote, such as their current LMP program. Hell there are even multiethnic examples of this in Gran Turismo already. You don't see Ford dedicating every concept to the Mark IV or Renault to the A442. I've said what I have to say, if your gonna say I'm wrong you have to tell me why those words are wrong.

> Looks for evidence - finds the Mazda VGT of 2014. It isn't even a full LMP programme by the way, it's merely an engine programme using Lola B12 chassis.
> looks at Ford - finds the Ford GT (which is appearing to get another reboot next year)

Point uneven.

Kind of proving my point. Lola folded a while ago and although the chassis is still called a Lola, they liquified and couldn't provide services to anyone. Multimatic bought Lola's assets and they are partnered to supply and develop the body work with Mazda. But it is a factory effort and it should be receiving marketing attention. The fact that people don't identify it as a factory program kind of just speaks to the lack of marketing effort Mazda has put into it.

Looking at Ford, that program happened almost 50 years ago now. And since then what has Ford done with it? The GT90 concept of the late 90's which lead to the eventual production run of the Ford GT, at which point it had been 40 years. There are currently rumors of another version for 2016; there have been rumors before though so we'll see where that goes. But that right there recaps all Ford has done to pay homage to their Le Mans history in the last 50 years. Now think of all the times you have seen Mazda dedicate a concept car, use the livery, or use the #55 to pay tribute to the 787B. Mazda has 'honored' a 23 year old car more times in Gran Turismo alone than Ford has in the entire 50 years since it's Le Mans program.

Its Mazda's one and only major international motorsports win to date, 1991. Ford has Le Mans, Daytona, the Indy 500, ect to its name.

Apples and Oranges.

No, it's not. All of Fords factory sports car wins were with the same program, and Ford provided engines at the Indy 500 but there wasn't a factory team.

it would be cool if they gave us a car tuned for the seasonal and then gave us more money for tuning our own car

the hyuria overtake challenge should say "touched" a barrier not hit

The car's sound wasn't so exciting for me.
UNTIL I turned up the sound, and twitched the gears so that they are now extremely close...
That thing sounds just so damn aggressive!!!

But i'm asking myself, if this is a future LM car... Why doesn't it have a diffusor? A diffusor alone provides god 35-40% of the rear downforce, and this car is so low, the bernoulli/venturi effect would be great with a diffusor...
