I just did,I played it for 4 hours last night. Im at a boss battle right now with The End. This is the kind of game I've been waiting for! Best game EVER! I played all the other MGS and they were good to but this one is the best!
 
I got my copy on special yesterday for $37. 👍

And I must say I love it. The story line is possibly the best. Halo aint got **** on MGS. I'm right now at the part where you fight Big Boss I think, and you get all injured and such.

I quite liked the whole halo story thing, it's better then 99% of fps games, anyhoo, MGS games are known to be quite plot heavy, but game play has allways been abit...odd like in most 3rd person games. Anyway, from what people have said, I'll deff give MGS 3 a go as it sounds like a cool game.

If you keep it in your inventory for more than two days, it starts to rot. Flies show up on it like weevils showed up on your food in MGS2.
 
Does anyone know where to find all the mags?....i was told to take pics of every magazine in the game to get some secret...is this true?

I've heard a lot, but this is new to me. You can take a pic of the The Sorrow boss fight and when every boss shows up take a picture and you can see the faces of the producers and directors of MGS3. Kojima is seen in my pic of The Sorrow.
 
i had a LOT of fun with that fight... i wanna do it again.

My best suggestion is to make full use of the thermal goggles. If he runs, the goggles will illuminate his footprints and you can follow him and even sneak up right behind him.
 
Hey all. I just got my copy Sunday during the after X-Mass sale, it was only $37(Targets price) I just beat it last night in very easy mode, and Im doing it again in very easy mode. Im already on Opperation Snake Eater, after you meet EVA. This time around, I'm tring to get a stanima kill for all the boss fights. The first time, I was able to do that only on Volgin and The Boss, and didnt find out about those kills until i beat The Fury. How does the online work for MGS3? Is it only to download the camo?

When you start walking around the forest with EVA,check her medical records. Look at her x-ray around the breast area,too. I dont know whats there becuase I didnt know about it until I was fighting The Boss, so thats a reason why im playing the game again. Also, try:
Using the box in front of her
Make EVA puke
Shoot her with a tranq gun and listen to what she says
Crawl on the floor, then crawl on top of her

I'm on a Infinity face Paint/Stealth Camo run right now on Normal. It's easier than you might think, because you don't have to deal with the guards patrolling around lethal weapons.

Heres a lil' glitch a found just a few min. ago.

The first time through, I didnt know about stanima kills, so I just went for the lower his health on The End, and it wasnt that hard for me. First, I didnt know where to start, so I fired blank shots. Then, I talked to EVA, and got the SVD. Then, I started run around looking for him. When I found him I did the technique of AK his arse, use thermal g to follow his footprints when he runs away, the when I find him to the same thing over. Id say it took me about 20min to beat him. Check out the glitch i saw I posted it above^

How did you get your stealth camo? I still have to get that one item. Oh, and the Banana camo. It makes all food taste great. I don't really need it, since I have Moss camo.

I played the game on the very easy level and I shot all the frogs, but I didn't get the camo. Then, somebody said you can't get the Stealth suit on the very easy setting. It that's true, then why did they put those damn Kerotan in the level?

I haven't played in over a week. I'll start a new level on Normal the next time I play.

Will be back soon in a day or so when I have had my fun :D looks great so far even though I have just started it about 20 mins ago, them crocs dont stay asleep eh! :P

I knifed all three of the crocodiles, but I came back to play the game a couple days later and they were spoiled.




Also, I read that if you save before the fight against the End and you come back 3(or was it 5?) days later, he will kill you.

Yes, you can get the stealth suit in very easy. When you go back to the base where the robot is(I dont know how to spell groz....... grad)go to the locker where you stuffed the raiden look-alike.

No, that's the Sneaking Suit. The Stealth suit is the same Stealth suit in MGS and MGS2. It's the thing that makes you completely invisible. It's not a suit or camo uniform actually. It's a piece of gear in your Equipment part of your Backpack. You can equip it with The Sorrow's uniform and never be heard or seen. (The Sorrow's Uniform eliminates foot step noise)

Wait seven days and he'll die of natural causes. But you wont get the awesome Moss Uniform or the Mosin Nagant tranq sniper rifle.

Did you read this? It might have some spoilers in it.

THINGS TO ACCOMPLISH WHEN PLAYING MGS3 FOR THE FIRST TIME

1. Search and shoot all the Kerotan (green, plastic frogs) in each level. There is a total of 64. Make sure you move left or right of areas on the map to find new areas to move into and then search for the Kerotan. Many people miss the Armory just before fighting The End. Go north east, and you'll see it. Try to remember, EVERY level has one. Even the the levels during the bike chase. Shooting all the Kerotan will earn you the Stealth Suit, which is NOT a uniform. Using the "Duck" uniform you find at the big swamp during the Snake Eater mission, you can hear the Kerotan calling out to you. You'll need to press the start button first, then go back to the level to hear the call.

2. Go for 0 Alerts, 0 Kills and 0 Continues. If going for all the Kerotan is too hard, which it is in my book, then make sure you perform this instead. Reward is of course the Stealth Suit. The tranq pistol must be used on everyone, and that includes the bosses. It's easier than it sounds, but The Fear will be difficult. Remember to leave posinous food around so he'll eat that during the fight. I finished him off with only one shot and a bunch of poisonous food like the Dart Frog, Fly Argic mushroom which can be found on that level. Actually, you'll go through this level twice. It's at night the first time through, and there will be a lot of Dart Frogs around. Make sure to get rid of most of your food and collect as many poisonous items as you can. What's great about this is you can save as much as you want. So, save at every level, if you want. I recommend doing that.

3. Catch a Tsuchinoko (sp?) snake. Use a rat trap at the same area you fight The Fear. A brown turd-like snake will get captured after doing it a while. Keep it alive, and NEVER eat it. You'll get a reward of Infinity Face Paint. You'll lose it when you get captured, but you can get it back by looking on the ground at the waterfall area where you meat with Eva. Actually, you must get your backpack back first after meeting with Eva, then go back outside the waterfall to look for it. Do the same for The End's parrot, but not at the same time. Just remember to tranq it when recapturing it. It's no good if it's dead. I've confirmed you can catch this snake at G? Prud Swamp, the big swamp in the Snake Eater mission where you find the croc hat.

4. Capture all the animals and plants you can. There is a lot of different animals in the game. Too many to list here. But, if you look out for every animal you see, and hear, capture it or kill it along with all the plants and food items like fruit, bees nest, vine melon, etc. You'll get the brown and the green face paint. I don't know how this works, because I have yet to do it myself. But, people say it's possible. Remember, you'll need The End's parrot and the turd snake.


5. When fighting The End, sneak up to him and "hold him up" to get his Moss Uniform. Aim at his head and never move from that position until he gives up his camo to you. Equip it at once, and use it to crawl around and he'll never spot you. You'll have a 100% camo rating. The suit also replenishes your stamina when you stand in sunlight, and it lets you get the Mosin Nagant tranq sniper rifle after you defeat him with the tranq pistol only. Remember, no kills. You'll have to look around for the tranq sniper rifle after beating him. It will be on the ground somewhere where you start after beating him. The tranq rifle will make the rest of the game a lot easier for you. Remember, missed shots counts as alerts if you miss. With this rifle, you'll eliminate that from happening.

6. Select the pistol on the right during the WIG/Ocelot pistol fight. Never aim or shoot at him. He'll give you the SAA pistol for your next game. The pistol is awesome!
 
It took me over an hour to beat the End. I messed up about three opportunities, but I did finish him off with the m22(??). I did get the rifle. Now, the tough task is walking up the mountainside.



The shotgun packs a pretty good punch. :dopey:
 
Arghh.....managed to hold up The End but didn't pick up his camo...instead knocked him out with the M22. The camo had vanished...arghh..
Oh well, got nearly everybody elses and found nearly all of them including the Russian Sneaking suit in the locker. Now I've just got to beat The Boss using tranq's and CQC to get her camo....
 
I'm pretty sure you can catch the Tsuchinoko in any area, Solid Lifters. In any case, I'm trying to catch that and go for 0 kills, etc. If I pull it off I'll have the Stealth and Infinity Face Paint and the Spirit camo. Won't be seen or heard and I'll never run out of ammo. :) Then I'll go for the Kerotan just to get the rank and then maybe try to eat every animal in the game to get the Markhor rank.
 
Party time!!! Just beated it! Everyone needs to watch the cutscenes and the phone call with Ocelot to get the plot of the story. OMG what a awesome game and fun experience!
 
Yep I finished it at 7.30am this morning 👍 I enjoyed that! here's some of my details for my first attempt ... I may try again with some goodies :D

Rank = Shark
awarded - Tuxedo and camera and patriot gun 👍

That game was awesome and one of the very few series were i always complete the game :) Top marks

The end scenes were way too long and carried on a good 45 mins after I beat the boss :crazy:
My favourite parts of the game was hunting for the end and dodging the ghosts in the sorrow section 👍 ... too cool :cool:

Cool It tooked me 5 days to beat it. I got it Sunday,and stopped after I killed The Fear then Monday got to The End and Tuesday didn't play it but on Wednsday I beated The End and cutted it of and Thursday got all the way to Volgin and killed him and Friday I beated it and got a Crockidle ranking.
 
Anybody found the hidden game demo? I have. Pretty interesting and the way it is hidden in the game is cleverly done!
