I took them out one at a time, generally in rather hectic combat situations. Once there were only three or four left, I went to ground and started hunting them. From there it was easy, since they tend to travel alone rather than in groups. The sniper on the roof took a while to find, but once I did, he was easy.. I hid in the grass off to the side, where I could see him, but he couldn't see me. Then I just took shots at him with the .45. Because of the camo, he couldn't see me, so every time he came back into view, he'd catch another bullet. I couldn't get a head shot at that distance, but he went down after a few hits. Make sure he's the last one, though, otherwise there's a chance the others on the ground may spot you.

does anyone use a good sound system with this game.

i use my logitech speakers are the sound is AMAZING! everything is perfectly equalized, the acoustics and ambience are perfect, and the dolby surround is incredible. it seems like im actually there...

this has to be the best sound in a game ever. period.

I have a 600watt Sony surround sound system (i have posted pics) that I absolutely love. Every game sounds great and some sound better than others. I have the optical wire running to it and it makes a huge difference over the old school red, white, and yellow RCA wires!
You can hear the exact direction and animal is coming from or a person. Just amazing.

I remember Snake talking to that aguy on the CODEC about the beehive but I never found it so I could still be there. I dont know man it is hard for me to find my way around this game without that radar that were in the other 2 games.

The radar is there just hit L1 or R1 and I think its in the options. 2 different radars to choose from. An animal radar and human radar.

Huge Hint: Up on the radar is north

Cuz I was wondering if they put the radar in there or not because it is very difficult to run around that level pretty much blind ya know.

actually....radar hasn't been invented yet.

you have sonar, a motion detector, and an anti-personnel sensor.

you dont get sonar or the motion detector in hard mode though.

dont forget to call para-medic after eating the glowcap mushrooms!

Yeah, I did that last night (on accident) after I posted. I got the sniper in the head with the .45 but, he fell and another guard got alerted. I'll try getting him in another position.

Thanks for the help, Jedi.

Did you climb on the roof? In the North-East corner of that building is a ladder. Use the triangle button and climb it, but before you do that, equip the black and red checkered uniform firs. The guard will be alerted if you don't use it.

Completed it... Don't know what to say.. It's so good... The story is great altough it starts slowly but damn... it becomes so good...

A perfect ending for the Solid serie. Let's see what Kojima is going to plan with Metal Gear now.

You're right, this game is fantastic. I hope a new game with Ocelot and Big Boss. I would love to see how they end up as friends. You can tell they were starting some sort of relationship in this title.

Though, I hear rumors that this is the last METAL GEAR game, and not the last "Solid" or "Big Boss" game. There is a MGS4, but I don't know how or if it will use a Metal Gear, or not. I know it was metioned as MGS4, but that doesn't mean it will have a metal gear in it.

I also want to see the things you want to see.

This is the end of the "Solid" trilogy. Kojima has other plans with the MG series (Look at MG : Acid on the PSP). I really hope that Kojima will make a remake of both the MSX2 games. Damn, that would be great...

But that would mean he was "lying" about the last episode of Solid because the first two titles have to do something with the "Solid" titles. Ah well, we will see. I want more David Hayter so they really need to pay him alot of cash and remake the first two games.

(And no, not the second game on the NES. That had nothing to do with the series. Only the name...)

ABOUT TIME! I finally got the last Boss suit I desperately wanted, The End's Moss Uniform! I no longer need to hunt for food. The Moss suit is photosynthetic. It increases your stamina when you stand in some sunlight. It also works great as a camouflage uniform that provides the best camo rating in certin conditions. However, it is not the best one to wear at all times. Each uniform has it's unique and special abilities. And this one is tops!

So far, the most useful uniforms have been the Tiger, Leaf, Ga-Ko, Spirit and the Splitter. At times, I've worn the Animal, Fly and the Tuxedo for funny looking FMVs.

I just got to the facility where Sokolov is being held. I see 3 guards, one of them just seems to stand at the edge of the dock. My motion detector says there's at least 4 more guards. The guards can see you in the water, so I don't even know how to approach this level. I could take them out with the Mk22 but, it takes all the fun out of sneaking around.

I really enjoyed the first boss battle. I even shot off his hat, which was pretty cool. :)

This sounds like the best game ever!! I must get my hands on this or I'm gonna kill someone. You guys are giving away some good spoilers but who cares?

You gotta equip your water uniform. Then, dive down real deep and go to the far right. You can climb onto the wooden deck at any place you want. When you come up for air, make sure you're under the dock. The guards can't see you from there.

Oh, maybe you should go back to the previous level, and go to a different dock area. It will have an armory that will have the SVD which you will need to fight The End. If you don't get it there, you will need to get when you're fighting The End, which is something I don't recommend! When going back to this area, it should be on your right. It's kind of hard to see. It should be at the area where you walk past the two rock walls that are on either side of you, which is at the end of this swamp level when you first sarted it, but now it's at the beginning since you're going back.

actually shhoting his hat off is part of the game, or it's i'm that dam ggod cause i shot his Beret twice. but i think it's part of the cinematechs of the game.
but i have to admit that it's still got that cheezy element to it. llike the part where ocelot screams like the animal he was named after, and his hand guestures where dead on cheezy. but hey it's still the best story you will ever get to experience untill MGS4 comes out :)

Yeah, I noticed the other path right after the straightaway with the flying platforms. I noticed the guards so, I turned around and went north to the facility.

If The End is anything like The Pain, it will be an easy task.

Everytime I see Ocelot now, I do that cat thing he does, it's hilarious!

Sokolov reminds me of Octagon. I wonder if there is any correlation between them...

Oh, I do recommend shooting the pilots of the flying platforms with the Mk22.

Ha-ha! I laugh at your ignorance! :D

Well, he is an ocelot. That meow is quite funny, but it creeps me out a lot. I used have a girl friend who was really into cats, and she would meow everytime she... uh, that is... hmmm... never mind.

Damn! Why didn't I think of that!

Try shooting the pilots of the helicopters with your SVD. That's pretty great, too. And shoot the flame thrower dudes in their gas tanks. Great stuff! Oh, you can blow up the armory with TNT, but the outside building stays intact.

GREAT STUFF!

After you get tortured by Volgin, you end up in a jail cell. Don't get out if you know the code. Let the guard feed you. Pick up the ration and throw it back. Do this three times. After the second time, something funny happens! A FMV starts after the third time and it's just as good!

EDIT: Oh, make yourself throw up to lure the guard in the cell. Also, make a lot of noise by banging the metal part of the wall near the cell door. Do it a bunch of times to get a funny quote. Also, when you check yourself out in the medical (CURE) window, you'll notice you will have a transmitter in your shoulder. LEAVE IT IN! You'll get a very funny FMV the next time you meet with Eva.

EDIT 2: MORE GREAT STUFF! (This time it's about BOOBIES!)

During the escort Eva mission, look at the cure window for Eva, and press the R1 to see her skeleton body X-ray. Zoom in on her chest! She's got nipoles! Ha, ha, ha, ha! That Kojima, man! God love him! Now, move around and up and down and watch her BOOBIES bounce! Whoo-hoo! Also, press the R2 button to see her embarrassing ailments. Proctitis! Funny stuff!

I found some secrets too last night:

When you enter Granin's room, look around. You can see models of the Metal Gear Ray and Jehuty (from Zone of the Enders). If you press R1 when Snake looks at the blueprints, you can see the layout for the Metal Gear Rex.

When you're in the Lab looking for Sokolov, there are several real world game magazines laying out on tables that feature Metal Gear games.

I love the R1 button in cutscenes, especially ones that have Eva in them. Snake is constantly distracted by her body parts. :)

Oh, a funny thing happened to me. After my battle with The Fear, I got one of his darts stuck in Snake's harness, and the game doesn't recognize it. So, I got a Snake running around with a dart sticking out of his back.

I just found out some more, too. During the The Sorrow boss fight, take a picture of his corpse. Save the picture, and look at what you get.

In the Eva escort mission, knock her out. Then, go in the cure window to see her in her bikini. Press R1 to see her skeleton X-Ray, then go back the previous window. Then, press R1 again to see her do some funny poses. At that point, press and hold down the L1 button. Great stuff! Doing this R1 trick works on Snake, too. Oh, and shoot Eva with a tranq gun to hear her say some funny lines. The good thing about doing that, you could just drag her through the entire escort mission, if you want.

Oh, put on the Raiden mask just before placing your fourth and final C3 bomb. You'll get a funny question from Volgin during the boss fight. Also, the Patriot just beats the hell out of him! I beat him with it in less than 20 seconds! I learned from one of the interrogated guards that Volgin hates water, and glow caps. I guess there must be something to that, but what, I don't know yet. I know there is a water uniform, hmmm, make that two water uniforms, but what they do against him is anybody's guess.

Kill the The End's bird, it usually sits a few paces ahead of him someplace, and see something different during the The End's death scene.

Put on the Tuxedo, and talk to The Boss. If I'm not mistaken, she calls you a jackass. Look at your shoes with it on. They have bow ties for laces.

EDIT: I forgot some: Call Para-Medic after eating a glow cap. Also, call her after eating a vulture that just feasted on a dead guard.

So I feel like a total n00b as I haven't beat Virtuous Mission yet on Normal. I suppose this is because I started playing this after a 6-hour session of MGS2, which is a totally different game in nearly all aspects.

Don't worry, it took me a while to get going in the V Mission. Having not played a MGS game for over two years made it worse. Just move slowly and get the feel of it, since the V Mission is short compared to the rest of the game.

I called Para after eating the glow shroom, but I did not get the funny conversation. . . I feel ripped off! I want a refund! guess it will have to wait for the next time through. . .

You must have at least two of them. One to eat, and one for her to tell you about it. If you just have one, she wont talk about it. Call her when you tranq and capture the The End's parrot, which isn't a parrot at all.
