So, for 1.16, we will have :
- Mid-Field Raceway with dynamic weather and day/night cycle
...
I thought it was just time change, not day and night cycle. I think it will just be that you can pick different daylight times, not race there at night. I hope I'm wrong, just don't want people disappointed.
Technically yes. Spring begins near the end of March but I think most here are expecting the March update before spring, possibly next week.Well march is Spring, am i right?
To be honest, yes Midfield was a good track in gt3 & gt4, but in my opinion they did something with Apricot Hill it isn't the same track anymore like in gt4. The first section was in the gt4 edition a simplified set of corners compared with the gt6 version of Apricot Hill. It had a nice flow from the second corner till the end of the first section. In a good word, they made Apricot more difficult and more challenging, but they destroyed the 'flow' through that section. I can't enjoy Apricot Hill that much like I did in gt4.
I hope Midfield is more like it was in gt3 than gt4, more smooth and fast and less challenging, a good track for fast gt- and cupracing events with close wheel to wheel races.
This is why I said earlier that I hope Midfield hasn't lost its magic in the way I remember it from back in the day when I used to run it over and over, never got tired of it.....really enjoyed racing there, very fond memories. I also have to agree with you about Apricot Hill. It just isn't how I remember it from back in the day, I just hope Midfield doesn't fall into that same hole.
High Speed Ring too. I found that had a very different feel when it was reinvented for the PS3.
Blue Chapparal 2X and B-Spec
No. Needs Course Maker, Seattle, SSR11, and Complex StringWe've been calling the update 1.16 ... but doesn't this feel more like a 2.0?
I haven't driven complex string but from looking at the layout it doesn't seem like a course I would be interested in, seems unrealistic and overly complex for a race circut. I have never really cared for the SSR tracks much either. Seattle on the other hand is a very nice track as is El Capitan. New York was pretty good too and would be nice to see sonoma back again.No. Needs Course Maker, Seattle, SSR11, and Complex String
Sonoma << Most technical and difficult track in the USA. But it still flows great I think of it as "The short American Nurburgring" lolI haven't driven complex string but from looking at the layout it doesn't seem like a course I would be interested in, seems unrealistic and overly complex for a race circut. Seem irrefutable now that PD is listening to the GT Planet community regarding most wanted tracks based on the reference to Mid-Field and Seattle in the post. Delighted to hear this news as a long time fan of the series since the release of GT1.

Where was Seattle mentioned?
I thought it said pikes peak... o.o maybe they changed it?"The track was always at the top ranks of user requests, right next to the Seattle circuit."
Nah, you just hallucinated it.I thought it said pikes peak... o.o maybe they changed it?
No I didnt :-)Nah, you just hallucinated it.
No, still hallucinated, GTP was never called out in the blog post even when it was first posted. No I didnt :-)
"GTPlanet has voted the circuit as its second-most wanted track in our Gran Turismo Track Suggestions forum, sitting behind only the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Course (another classic from GT2)."
That's a quote from the GTPlanet blog post, not PD's Pitstop blog that @Cosmos29 was referring to."GTPlanet has voted the circuit as its second-most wanted track in our Gran Turismo Track Suggestions forum, sitting behind only the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Course (another classic from GT2)."
