Okay guys, I've never missed a race before but tonight i probably will. Have to pick up people at the airport and there's only a small theoretical chance to get back home in time. It's too bad because I too like this track. If I can't make it I hope you have a great race.

Be a shame if you can't make it, if I see you sign in close to race start we'll wait for ya ;)

How many hours before race time, and what times are you guys laping on the track today?

currently about 7 hours to go, there's a link in the first post of this thread which will tell you the start time at your nearest city, for Phoenix my lounge should open at 15:30 and qualifying will start at 16:00 ;)

I managed a 1:54.4, with some last minute tranny adjustments I might break into the 1:53's

I got a 1:54.7 during my tests ... hope to keep up with you :)

There's no way I am one stopping again. Lost so much time due to lack of grip!

Pretty incredible how the front lads kept producing great lap times on a one stop strategy.

I feel like I have too much understeer for my liking and I'm only pulling 1.59s but I feel sluggish as well in the straights so I think I may need to adjust the tranny.

Well after a last minute practice session, i managed to pull out a 1.54.693. I just hope i can get that in about an hour

Well sorry the car just didn't have it in the tune. I tried to do a last minute new setup because the other tune that I had was sluggish and it turned out worst. Sorry to those at the start of the race...I now have to go back to the drawing board and work on this car again. If I ever do another season of GT500 I will most likely switch to a Nissan and abandon my toyota loyalty.

Good race fellas..

1st lap I had damage for half the lap so apologies if I was going from side to side a bit.

Was quite confusing on the 2nd from last corner when 2 of the markers disappeared! Completely lost my braking point as did a few others..

Enjoyable again though. 👍

Good race Gents. It was a tight battle to the end that proved extremely fun. i was a little surprised my pace was so fast considering the fast times you guys set at Suzuka.

I thought everyone did a good job of clean racing and I only got bumped hard twice. The first hit was at the first corner on the first lap. It did a little damage but I survived. Thankfully for me, a few people ahead of me went off on that first lap which made my recovery less challenging. The second time I had contact was lap 29 or 30 when Gprili and I made contact. I broke a little early due to worn tires and his tires were a lap older than mine and he couldn't stop in time to avoid contact. He waited for me to return to the track and I don't think he should be penalized. He was by the book.

I generally ran a clean race but I do regret pushing Hurley on the straights. I was hoping we could both go faster without battling for position. I didn't want to battle so early because of my one stop strategy. I pushed him on several straights which disrupted his rhythm. For that I do apologize and would understand if a penalty were handed out. I won't do it again. Super GT is not Nascar. Sorry.

I had a solid battle with Gprili to the end, only overtaking him in the final laps. Our pit strategy and pace were very close and it was truly a good challenge. I was thankful to be able to compete for the podium.

Look forward to next week at Grand Valley.👍

Sorry for the false start today chaps, hopefully we won't have any trouble getting started next week, I'd like to know who stole my lap times and consistency from practice though, I was a second slower qualifying!! :(

After crashing out through schumacher on lap 1 it all went downhill for me, just couldn't seem to keep it together for very long tonight and this is one of my better tracks, guess we all have our off days...

I think everyone raced pretty well, there was an incident at the start with HamiltonMP427 going sideways under braking into turn 1 and plowing into several people, but since he didn't finish the race there's no point me issuing the 2pt penalty he deserved. Hope you get your car tuning sorted and under control for next week ;)

Garage-father I think we can let you off with a warning for the bump drafting

Thanks M8.

Were the grid starts the correct positions?

I was 6th or 7th and then when it started I was at the back in 11th..

Saying that though, I had a cracking start which is unusual for me. Must of gone up to about 5th or 6th!

I think the whole start of this race was a bit of a disaster tbh, it was showing me as pole position but I was pretty sure I wasn't as the fastest time shown wasn't mine, my tyres weren't warming during qualifying and I was at least a second slower than I had been during the week!! My tyres were also not warming during the race, but I'm guessing everyone had the same disadvantage, fingers crossed things will go right for us next week...

Waiting on 2 voters for Rd.9 & Rd.10, LMSCorvetteGT2 and Tempo0010 could you please post your options for those two races here so I can count them with your vote for Rd.5, thanks

Are you gonna do video highlights for every race, Soopa?

I will try my best, it is quite time consuming, but since I have to review the race anyway... Just finishing this weeks now, should be up soon

Rd.9 Chicane cutting penalised (3 strike rule)

Rd.10 Weather Sunny & Change - Grip Reduction Real

Thanks mate, glad to have some more people willing to take the possibility of rain challenge ;)

This weeks video highlights are up, take a look under the race results.

Wow, what a mess lap one, was difficult to edit all that with so much happening at the same time. Great race though despite the problems we had with tyres not warming up, battles going on throughout the field and what a great battle for the podium, I lost count how many times those guys traded places. :)

Great highlights mate. First few laps were messy to say the least!

And was chaos after boshuter hit the markers on that last chicane. Funny to watch though.. 👍

Quite funny almost the entire field went of the track or had some issue in this race it is crazy. I dont feel so bad for wrecking seeing as how many others did. If there is a end of the year highlights the first laps of this race should be in it.

yeah I really struggled braking into the chicane without the markers, I think it caught quite a few people out, was very hit and miss for me and usually braked too early which I suppose is better than smashing into the wall...

If anyone has a friend who they think would like to join our league we've had 2 spots open up, one who signed up but now can't make friday nights, the other suffered from being knocked around at the back of the pack 2 weeks in a row and wasn't too happy about it... Let's try and keep it as clean as possible out there please to prevent anyone else leaving for that reason.

I'm waiting to hear back from a couple of others who signed up but yet to join a race, so we may well have a couple more spots opening up if they don't turn up this week, any newcomers this week will still be in with a shot at the championship title since we only count your best 8 results in the final standings.

Well I'm glad that this upcomming week I'll have a true performer

glad to hear you got your tuning sorted, I'm giving everyone the benefit of the doubt for Rd.2 due to tyre issues, I'll be expecting some squeaky clean performances this week though.

On tyres, I have seen that this issue is known and the fix is to reset the track, which did fix it for us last week. This week I will reset the track as soon as the lounge opens, then again before qualifying (fingers crossed no game lock-ups!)

wow another great highlights video 👍

i didn't seem to mind the tyre issue, my mistake's seem to come from other drivers (e.g. my first crash was trying to avoid soopa, and accidently knoking off kingy and waiting for him to get back on the track).

I also seem to be running lonley races in the middle of the field
