i didn't seem to mind the tyre issue, my mistake's seem to come from other drivers (e.g. my first crash was trying to avoid soopa, and accidently knoking off kingy and waiting for him to get back on the track).

I also seem to be running lonley races in the middle of the field

I noticed you coming up behind me, then go around the outside, I have the same trouble judging braking distances in the slipstream its a pain. If only they'd fix the exaggerated slipstream effect in this game it'd be better all round, makes it too easy to pass people on the straights and too difficult to brake when following closely!!

On the 1st lap I hit ohnoitsmeagain (I think) on the 3rd corner but that was due to having mechanical damage pulling at the car. So I hope that wasn't part of the reason he quit. It wasn't big contact but was still contact. I also got hit accidently by the boyle who spun coming up to the Schumacher S and when rejoining the track someone hit me from behind so sorry for that. Other than that I had a pretty clean race overall..

I debated the incident with Trebor for a while, in the end since you hadn't reported it and he did wait I decided to go with no penalty, however I think in future I would have to consider whether or not the innocent party lost places as a result. If you wait for someone to continue ahead and they didn't lose places, then no penalty for a first offence (1pt if its a repeat offence), if they lose places and you waited 1pt penalty (2pts for repeat offences), if you don't wait 2pts penalty.

Ohnoitsmeagain81 got caught by Hamilton piling through everyone first off. I saw you hit him turn 3 but someone had knocked you first sending you into him, boshuter lost control and as he came back across the track went into him causing damage to his rear wheel, he then got battered around a bit but again nothing malicious just racing. This was all in the first lap! He then out-drove himself the next couple of laps and I think it was all a bit too much, sometimes a few knocks early on just put you in a bad frame of mind and prevent you driving well and that's happened to him twice in a row. It's a shame cause he is an ultra clean driver and I've been friends with him since we met in a public lobby and had some great races together. He's the kind of racer that would rather sit behind you than make any contact on a pass, whereas I tend to be a bit more aggressive, I think a little bump or rub when passing is all part of racing.

It was quite the dog fight in the middle of the pack as well a up front. I think the Schumacher S got about everyone at some point.

I liked what I saw in regards to racing etiquette and corner cutting. I didn't see anything too egregious. I took damage on the right rear on the first corner but it looks like some got it far worse. I drove into the first corner really conservatively because I was going to make darn sure I didn't rear-end anyone. I took a hit in the rear as a result.

Beyond that first corner debacle, most incidents were the result of hard racing, imo.

For what it is worth:

The race isn't won on the first laps but it can easily be lost. A little give and take early on will make for an even better race next week. Unless I line up pole or the people in front of me blow the start, expect the blue GTR to take it conservatively in the first couple of turns. I want to be leading the last lap, I don't really care about leading the first lap.

I've been trying to contact that guy all week, can't send him a PM on here as his inbox is full so sent him a message on PSN when I saw him online today, he still hasn't replied

If he doesn't show this friday then by all means you can jump in his car and use it for the race, in case he does show and you still wanna join then choose one of the remaining 2 for now, if you don't have one I can send it to you. I know this means you'll have to prepare 2 cars on the off chance he shows, but I can't really give his car away just in case he does (if he doesn't show 3 weeks in a row then he's getting kicked anyway), I'm sure you understand

I totally understand thanks I will have both cars ready on friday. I have over 1100 cars and multiple Premium GT500's so I dont need the loan but thanks for the offer.

The battle between you 3 at the front was great to watch, I only wish I hadn't screwed up at schumacher s on lap 1, might have been a four-way battle. Was fun making my way back up through the field though, 4th was quite respectable after such a shocking start

Well things are close in the poll, with only 3 voters left Rd.5 is currently 7-6 in favour of Sunny & Change and Rd.10 is 7-6 in favour of Sunny & Fixed, so it could still go either way. The voters that are left haven't actually turned up for a race yet, if they are absent this week they will be kicked, if that is the case voting will end and we'll go with what we have.

Apparently everyone wants me to spend an hour watching us all go through the chicanes, thanks for that ... only kidding, I think it's a good sign that everyone wants to play by the rules. Be warned though, I will watch everyone go through and penalties will be strictly enforced, 4 mistakes and you're facing a DQ!!

1:45s on fresh tires.

The more interesting question is what times are you turning on lap 11 and 22? How about lap 16-17? That will likely decide it. A 1-stopper will require some serious discipline with the tires. Can that strategy win it? It was the proper strategy last week for the podium.

Could this be a mind game to throw you guys off?

I think that 1.45 flat and 1.46 are good but I'm puzzled for the pitstop

Well I finally managed to get a couple of hours in, clearly not gonna be enough as I can't seem to stay on the track for very long, my car doesn't like that hairpin either! Best lap was 1:44.8. I reckon I'll mainly be running 1:45-1:46 during the race, absolutely no clue what pitstop strategy I'm gonna run as I didn't get as far as running more than 3-4 lap stints while setting up the car, so I'll just wing it but most likely 2 stops as I've never been able to save tyres.
