Midnight Racing Club - GT500 Season 2: Rd.10 Nürburgring 24H 23rd Dec

Yes, they should be the same. The first impact with this car wasn't fantastic but now I'm getting a better feeling.

My best on Suzuka was 1'54.4 but a consistent pace was 1'55. What I'd like to improve most of all is the tyre wear that is still not the same I had with the Lexus in season one, infact I'm also working on it not only to be faster.

not enjoying this track at all, dont know what kinda times im gna b posting on friday, im all over the place. Mostly 55-56's, this any good???

Not bad times, try to be consistent and keep it as long as you can, try to save tyres and most of all avoid mistakes. If you do so, with those times I think you could have a good race.

Going online in a bit , hope I can find someone to practice with

I could lessen front wheel camber which should give me more tire life but I'm sure my times and overall balance would be compromised , so I will run 2 stop strategies every race

Hows the progress going ?

Surprisingly as a track that I didn't like I'm really enjoying it now just hope I can have a good race with no problems , a 1 stopper is definetely more possible here than in suzuka.

Best time is a 52.4 now but I don't think I will be able to pull that off in qualy

After some testing with Allascato I can say that I will perform here also 2 pitstop, it's just my way of driving flat out that kills me :ouch:, I hitted a 1.52.7xx fastest lap but I was more concerned to let tyres last long enough to keep a 1.53-1.54 pace in the first stint and try to do better in the second and third stint to compensate the second pit stop :) I have to say that the NISMO Z is completely different from the GTR in handling

My times are nowhere near a 1:52 but i'm still confident I will do much better than I did on Suzuka. My best is a low 55 but practice makes perfect.

I'm the same as you, but less confident. Lol

I'm not gonna get much time for practise this season, will try and get a couple of hours in later in the week, will let you know what times I get...

30 laps this week, still have to determine how many laps for Rd 6, 7 & 8 as I haven't tested those tracks yet

Anyone wanna practice soon ? Gonna turn on the ps3 in a bit

I would say the real trick to performing well in these races is minimizing mistakes and keeping a steady pace , racing other cars and traffic only slows you down so getting clean air is always the best thing but ofcourse thats easier said than done with 11 other cars on the track.

Looking at last seasons race the best lap by GarageFather was a low 1 54 so that gives you a a good idea for race pace which i would say is 1 55's 1 56's

Are stage 3 engine kits allowed ? If so, i set a 1:52:x yesterday. It also looks quite tempting to just try one hot lap on race day for an extra two points.

I don't think there is any restriction on turbo just the 502 hp limit , I would think the mid turbo would be better than the hi turbo but this probably depends on the track , I think ill stick with the mid turbo for this race

Qualifying will be very tight with everyone running these 1 52's

I will, if everyone is setting 1 52's then I gotta practice as much as possible.

Remember this season is running spec 2.0 which has different online physics, so last seasons times should be different, so far we seem to be running quicker all round...

Well my season of very little practise just got a whole lot harder, suffered a very painful knee injury at football tonight and I don't think I'll be able to use my wheel for a while, gonna have to go back to the DS3 for the first time in several years :nervous:

I just been racing in skengd's lounge, my times are gettin better, but most of all, my laps are a lot cleaner, u will all be glad to know. Lol

I would like to practice tomorrow when I get home. I'm currently trying to finish up the B-Spec endure while I'm now home. Hopefully by tomorrow the races will be done.

Well said. I was thinking the same thing. I have been crushing my times from last year at Nurb GP in an arguably slower car. Must be the update. It seems to make the online experience closer to offline.

Sorry to hear about the injury.:ouch: Hopefully it won't slow you down.:(

Yes I thought last seasons times looked a bit slow , I guess the update has changed things a bit , I really love the new more realistic slipstream , had some practice sessions yesterday and I must say overtaking going into the last chicane is a real joy . Really enjoying this track hopefully ill have a good qualy and great race.
