Midnight Racing Club - GT500 Season 2: Rd.10 Nürburgring 24H 23rd Dec

Seems like I have solved the crazy oversteer problem. I'm clocking in high 54's to low 55's in race pace. Hope it'll be the same in Soopa's lounge. I think I might just try and run a 1 stopper. :P
 
Ran a 54 1 running with gprili tonight , thinking about a 1 stopper as well.

Are these races long enough where we have to take on fuel during the pit stops ?
 
I managed a 1:54.3 tonight so am alot happier about the car, it still feels different but maybe thats down to spec 2.0!?

They can be, depends on the speed of the track, I don't think you'll need any at Suzuka!?
 
My computer won't let me download the software to open ports,will try later and if it still does not work (PS3) I will investigate why I can't get the software.

Ran some test laps with soopa last nite, and I ended up about 2-3 seconds off his pace, I know I'm only a reserve but had nothing better to do.
 
Yesterday after many testing races with MontalvoMC & skengdigi I have to say that the weak slipstream is working very good & realistic now! Also we experienced that if you are following someone closely you have to be extra-careful because it seems that your aerodynamic is influenced by the car ahead. I managed a 1:53.433 but my tyre wear will not permit me to do 1 stop :nervous:

We have 2 people who have notified me they can't make it tonight, so we have some room in my lounge for you to join and see if anyone who didn't give prior notification fails to join, assuming you have access to all cars and don't mind running unprepared your welcome to wait with us and see if its possible to join short notice...

Man that is some serious pace, guess we're gonna have to hope you make some mistakes to balance it out ;)
 
Yeh gprili will definetely get pole , that nismo z is a beast , has anyone ever ran a setup jus to put in a good time for qualifying and then switch back to race setup before the start of the race ?
 
The Nismo Z wasn't such a beast last season, which helps prove its more down to the man than the machine, or maybe a harmony between the 2 ;)

I haven't changed settings before, I always thought backing out to the lobby resets your qualifying time, could be wrong though!?
 
You're right Soopa, going back to the lobby will reset your time, I tested it so many times.

Thanks for clarifying that one , so its not possible to put in a tune just for qualifying .
If I make top 6 in qualifying ill be happy , going for top 4 in the race

I have left the pits after qualifying and still get my spot on the grid. I did it at Monza. I was in the second row even though I left the pits and made a down force change.

Well I assumed you couldn't change, seems fair to have to run the same setup you qualified in, I don't know what would happen if we all dropped out and changed...

I can do the 130r without lifting... If I get the line right ;)

if you have ever hosted a public lobby you'll know what i mean, + last season i got rammed off by:censored:, not in the mood for it, sorry mate your a brilliant host but that doesn't stop people doing what they want, alot of public i've meet online are just disrespectful dirty fools & i'm not taking any chances this time cos i'll end up breaking something.

Guess the Z didn't like me then.
I'm finally done with the setup for my NSX. I redid everything from stock. Compared to the Z, I've spent much more time on my 'brig. (Maybe it's because exams are over. :P )
I've managed to run a 1:54.1 best. I might just try a 1 stopper.
 
Yes I'm very tempted to run a 1 stop strategy , especially since I'm slower than most , it might be my only chance
 
The only thing stopping me would be the possibility of spinning out on the later halves of the race due to the wear. Or I could go
with a 2 stopper and manage a faster pace?

Yes its Suzuka neal

Soopa has strict rules and I'm sure if anyone drives dirty they will be penalized , I hate when someone smashes you in the rear , there can be little bumps from close contact when sumone is pushing and brakes to the limit but when sumone jus smashes u off the track its unreasonable
