Ok, I'll do it later this afternoon. Make sure you are in the main world when I make the change otherwise you might lose what you had.

How the heck did I miss the addition of the Halo mashup pack??!!! For those that don't know, it has been added to the 360 version. They did an amazing job with it too!!

Made it back on to DQ's server tonight. It's been awhile since I've been on. I abandoned my claims so the huge house I had and all of the contents are now up for grabs. The house was never completed to be honest, it was going to lead out to a city I had in mind to build.

Currently, I'm looking for a nice spot out in the desert to start building again.

Having lost about 10 Eyes of Ender in lava near a stronghold then soon after locating the portal which needed, you guessed it, 10 Eyes of Ender, I went back to grinding Endermen for more pearls at a sort of outpost/watchtower I made some time back on a plain. Formerly I would stand on top of my tower and when some Endermen showed up nearby I would look at one and hop down into a pool below, then attempt to slay them. Unfortunately I would still get a little sloppy sometimes and get slapped by various other mobs who would close in, or sometimes take on two or more Endermen and not keep an eye on my health, thus dying quite a few times.

Sooo I figured I would make some Iron Golems and see what happened, though assumed they were only really any use for protecting villagers and were likely to wander off. Boy was I mistaken. As soon as I lured an Enderman near a golem it got absolutely battered, in part because it doesn't seem to teleport out of its reach at all. It soon became a very nifty way to build up pearls, with the added bonus of the golems attacking Skeletons and Zombies too (though seldom Creepers sadly). They are prone to wander away or sometimes go into a sort of daydream, but you can tie them to a fence or just leash them and bring them back if they go too far. I eventually built a 2-block high wall around the area which kept them in.

Now back to the Nether for a bunch of Blaze rods...

I never cease to be amazed at all the different ideas and such for any number of buildings or worlds. I often times draw inspiration from any number of sources. Some random Google Image searches sometimes gives me some motivation to design certain things. Even better is the ability to be able to take those ideas and incorporate them into a world like Minecraft. I think this, more than anything, is one of the reasons why Minecraft is so popular.

Nothing special to share from my latest experiences. Just wanted to show some love for this game for this post.

Was it in a village? Villagers opens doors? Unless Dinnerbone (Or anyone else on the team) changed it, zombies and zombie pigmen should not open doors AFAIK.

Well, Villagers can open doors. Zombies can bang on the doors and destroy them. I don't know about Zombie Pigmen, though.

keep in mind this is a 1.8 snapshot. There is no other explanation for the door sound happening twice and the pigman being on that side of the door. unproclaimed change, i believe.

I wouldn't be surprised if their behaviour differs to that of Zombies though as they are pretty benign unless you attack them. Perhaps their behavious is more like a Villager when they are peaceful, and a Zombie if you P them off.
