Thankyou to everybody who has commented on my photos đź‘Ť I'll be posting more tomorrow, hopefully, as i have a day off work.:dopey:

UPDATE!
The Essential Selection Volume 2

A few more photos from my recent shoots. The featured image of the S2000 below was going to be used as my 'Midnight Drifting' entry but i decided against it. I decided to be a bit more experimental with this selection:

Click the thumbnails below to enlarge: (The 2nd TVR shot is much better in full view ;) )

Feedback is always appreciated, good or bad.

Experiment with great results. I specially like first one, good selection of green with saturated atmosphere and white smoke wich merge some different areas of composition(Thing that I'm loving. With black would be easy, and usually used :)).

About 2nd TVR, looks very very clear and clean. Overall, great update Moglet!

Man I love your work
specially your latest comp entries
definitely some best photos I have seen in GTP
and I think your photoshop skills is just as good as 440 and JMX
can't wait to see more eye-candies from you đź‘Ť

I've decided to do a little tutorial to show how i alter my reflections etc. It doesn't go into huge detail, and you will need previous Photoshop experience to follow it, but for those looking to improve their pics quickly and easily it should come in useful!

Car and Reflection Cleanup Tutorial - Part 1
To follow this tutorial you'll need the following:

-A photograph from GT4 (Or you can use mine)
-Adobe Photoshop (I used CS)
-Previous Photoshop Experience

The first step is to open up your file. You can use the file below if you don't have one you want to work on yourself:

Step 2: With the image open, select the 'Liquify' tool from the 'Filter' list, as shown above.

Step 3: Once in the Liquify menu, select the top tool as shown by the arrow. This is the 'knock' tool and will come in very useful when adjusting reflections. Select this tool and make sure the settings box on the right looks similar to mine.

Step 4: This is the area of the car i worked on first. With the 'knock' tool selected, click an either side of the edge of the reflection, where the white meets the black. Holding the mouse button, drag whichever way required to 'knock' the reflection into place. Then release the mouse button, and repeat until you've smoothed the reflection out into something like this:

Due to the way this tool works, you can use it to adjust many parts of the car. I use it for reflections that are already smooth too, as it can form sharper edges without any loss of detail like you'd get from the Smudge tool.

Here i used it on the lights and the reflection on the left hand side.
Before:

After:

As you can see, it now looks much smoother.

That's all for now, but if this one goes down well i'll post the rest which involves sharpening bonnet/boot/door lines using a contraction tool and general touchups using Selective Color.

If there's anything i can improve on, let me know before i get the next one up!

Hey, cool tutorial Moglet. I am definetely going to give it a go. I previously used the smudge tool to do all of my edge clean up and stuff. But this seems like it must work pretty well too, so maybe my quality will increase. Anyway, really nice update. The reflections on the 2nd TVR look fantastic. You can still see a little bit of boxiness too them, but overall they are very smooth and real looking.đź‘Ť

...so maybe my quality will increase.
Someone have heard that? :odd:

Great tutorial. I neved noticed the liquify use tool for clean up, so thanks for sharing your knowledge đź‘Ť

I read in one 3D forum some time ago... "Teach your knowledge, because when you won't know, who will teach you".

Oh my god, he might get even better due to my suggestions... :indiff:

Seriously though, thanks for the feedback. I much prefer using the Liquify tool to clean up my photos, it leaves them looking generally smoother IMO.
Thanks for the comments again guys, the next section is now up:

Touchup Tutorial Part 2
Now that you've got the basics of using the Liquify tools under your belt, it's time to use another tool within the selection.

Step 5: Select 'Liquify' from the 'Filter' list again and this time, click the tool highlighted in the image above. This is the 'Contract' tool and what it does is pulls in pixels from the area around the tool towards the center of where you have clicked. To demonstrate this, make sure the tool is selected and the settings are similar to shown above. Then click ON the bonnet joint line and move the mouse along the line as accurately as possible.Once you get to the end of the line, let go. You should be left with something like this:

As you can see, the line is now thinner and more accurate, and looks more like a real bonnet join should.

Step 6: Now the Smudge tool needs to be used to smooth over the textures. Click the tool, highlighted above, and make sure the settings are similar to mine and the strength is set to around 50%. Then click and hold the mouse button and smooth over any area that needs to be made smoother, such as the bonnet of this car. Once you've smoothed over the areas using various sized brushes you should end up with a smooth bonnet, like shown below.

Now you know how to use the tools, you can carry on around the rest of the car. I've used it in various places and also used the 'Dodge' and 'Burn' tools to highlight the light areas and darken the shadows, which has given me an image that looks like this:

That's all for now!

The final update will be coming soon enough, it's just some basic colour adjustments that can enhance the image even further.

First update for a while having moved back to Uni. Just 4 'essential selection' photos:

Cool, I've never seen your gallery before, Moglet, the first impression is good from me though!

Picture 1 - Nice blur, good angle and nice reflections on the window and bonnet.

Picture 2 - Good, but not your best, the wiggly light effect is good, but the rest just isn't very Moglet.

Picture 3 - Nice angle, very simple, my favourite of the four.

Picture 4 - Very clean, the blur is brilliant, and to add to that, it's a BMW .

You should check out my gallery sometime :).

I'll check yours out soon enough :)
Thanks for the feedback, i admit that the 2nd one is a bit different from my usual stuff but i really like it. I'm trying to do more experimental stuff lately, hence the darkness and the wiggly light effect!

The Peugeot shot is one of my favourites because of how simple it is. The car looks good with massive wheels and the reflections on the headlights make it look realistic too. đź‘Ť

I love it mate,, Especially the last one,, were the blurring is fantastic and yhe reflections top notch:tup: The Alfa is fantastic too mate, ,The ligthing is something else:) Great work:D

Amazing style. All photos look so good... Btw, did you resize the 206RC rims? In that angle seems pretty big.

Salu2.alexwrc

Nope, the wheels haven't been altered at all! I couldn't believe how huge they were!

Thanks for all of the comments from everybody, it's greatly appreciated đź‘Ť

Once again, thanks for all the comments on the photos đź‘Ť
I'll be getting more up later on today after a few photography drives :)

A small update with two photos for you.
