tbh been back and forth to doctors and hospital last few months as suffering from exhaustion and constantly tired ,I know I am getting older but didn't expect to hit my fifties and be constantly knackered as I've always been fit with plenty of engery.
Chronic fatigue syndrome may be? A mate of mine has it and it knocks him about no end.suffering from exhaustion and constantly tired
That was a hairy moment being the driver just behind. Good capture, John. 👍

Phew, that was a hard race.
@Sick Cylinder I notice Algarve has been removed from the calendar, so it's just Nürburgring left then.
Will it be dry throughout the race, and will it be the Grand Prix + Nordschleife layout?
Yes Jocke. I have decided to use the 24H layout for Monday and Wednesday - it will enable people to get more spread out before they reach the narrower old track section and also has a pits in case people need repairs. It will be dry and daylight. A 50 minute race with no qualification and 5 minutes practise (just to get a quick feel for the car before the racing starts). We will use the same start procedure as on Wednesday as this worked well - I will post more details shortly.
Can’t miss a Group A race in the Nordschleife. (And 50 minutes!)
@Tavilha it would be awesome if you could make it.
(Does anyone know if you can change your tyre compound type on a default setup race? To race hards for instance, they'd make more sense.)
Are you running with the usual damage model @Sick Cylinder? I'd hate to crash on the 1st corner.
Would you like me to have a look at the weather system? It would be nice to replicate the same conditions in approximately the same parts of the track on each lap. Might not be too easy though. Hmm, 7 or 8 minute laps, I'll take a look anyway.
Yep, you can setup a custom race strategy and choose between tire compounds and pressures.
That's useful if you want to switch to race hards. 👍Yep, you can setup a custom race strategy and choose between tyre compounds and pressures.
I was thinking that. As I said if I can get it to appear in roughly the same place on each lap it would be realistic.Fog is almost mandatory at Nürburg
Nor me. That's what the pit crew get paid for.I have no idea what pressure should be used
That's exciting. 👍Yes Jocke. I have decided to use the 24H layout for Monday and Wednesday

How will the grid be determined?no qualification
Nice videos Jocke. I've been tinkering about too. Amazing what can be achieved.I played around with the weather

I've nearly got one setting that's foggy in the forests but remains clear in the stadium for each lap. If everyone can maintain a 9.6 minute lap I've already got a setting that would remain foggy in the lowest part of the track.![]()
Can I suggest a very slight alternative. There's a gantry with Eibach written on it a little after the first corner complex that would be an ideal place for the race to start. It would hopefully allow all cars to clear that somewhat congested corner.with no overtaking until after the first corner.

That sounds interesting.I've nearly got one setting that's foggy in the forests but remains clear in the stadium for each lap.
Do share them later, Paul, since I have an idea for a video to see how the track simultaneously develops but at different parts of the surrounding areas.I've nearly finished tweaking them so I'll get some settings to you very soon.
That's a real shame that the game won't allow you to manually decide the grid lineup or in some way decide the grid without relying on luck of the draw.By the game.
If any slower drivers find themselves at the front of the grid (e.g. me) please take extra care in letting the faster drivers through. I expect the medium and fast drivers to be through the slower part of the field by the time we finish modern part of the track.
My neighbour forgot his limits and wrote off his Porsche 911 turbo track car and had to pay a £5,000 recovery fee - his wife has banned him from doing any more track days! Much cheaper to stick with a PlayStation like us!
Nice. It beats a few pairs of socks and a scarf.I am going back in 2019. I got 6 laps for my birthday
Was that at the Nordschleife?
After quite a few test races in each car while adjusting the weather settings I found the tyres lasted quite well throughout the race. The 4WD wore their fronts down a bit quicker but with a bit of management they would last.
I can see there's a bit of a theme going on here! Did he learn to drive in Gran Turismo by any chance? I wouldn't let him take you for a drive very often Sick. Say you'll walk.Sick CylinderMy neighbour forgot his limits and wrote off his Porsche 911 turbo track car.
Previously he has written off a Subaru Imprezza and a Mitsubishi Evo in single vehicle road accidents

I think I'm pretty settled now after six 50 minute races!
I think that is the case where you can only change them on a pit stop. I'm not entirely sure though. The group A cars only have one slick compound anyway and providing you're not too reckless they will last the race. The "monster" machines I'm not so sure about. I'll have to get another few races in to find out.Am I right in thinking this can only be done during a pit stop, or is there a way to use it from race start?
