Ok it was a little chaotic at times but nevertheless I quite enjoyed last night. I'd have been up for some more races. Those who got caught up in the mayhem didn't enjoy it quite so much I expect.
Perhaps the damage off might have been a good idea.
I think we have a fairly clean bunch of racers in the room at the moment so it might be worth us trying a normal standing green-light start next week.
Seems sensible to me. Although I know Sick doesn't want to spend time watching replays. We should be able to police ourselves really. Perhaps go on green but DON'T overtake until a point/corner chosen by Sick?
I'd agree we're all clean racers, we really should be able to get around the first corner without crashing. Being aware of the cars around you is very tricky, more so than in real life, but it just needs a bit of self control. If someone crashes into me I never think it's intentional, just unfortunate.
A lot of the start problems would have been eliminated if Pcars had a text window where you could type messages. At the moment we have the PSN messaging, in which information can get missed, and here on GTP - which is split into two threads - where again information can get missed. So it's never entirely sure who's seen any relevant changes to procedures.
Perhaps Sick you could start a separate group PM here on GTP when there's important information that needs to be acknowledged by each driver. It would be much tidier than on the two threads where it might get lost in amongst other posts. A new PSN message might also be a possibility.
Or perhaps we should dig the mics out! It might be easy to control things.
Oh yes, the faster rated cars, A in this case, will always be placed at the front on random grids. I'd forgotten to mention this previously.
Talking about the PSN messages. I was thinking of making two new separate threads - one for Monday and one for Wednesday - so that it keeps them separate. Not everyone races on both days. I was also thinking of a third thread for general talk and banter just to keep the racing threads cleaner. Any thoughts? I didn't want to do it if no one required it.
