Sick, now that this series is over I want to thank you again for including me as a reserve driver.

You have a very good group. It was great fun.

Paul, your fastest lap time smoked all of us in the bottom half of the table. Well done

And, thank you again for helping me.

To everyone else, watch Paul in replay if you want to see a Master Class on professional driving when you're behind a slower driver. I'm sure he could have passed me multiple times. But, he was biding his time, knowing eventually he would pass me.

Patience of Job!

EDIT: I have reported myself to the moderators of this site since I posted two in a row without thinking. I do not know how to delete my second post.

Look, you've made me double post too! :D

I'm sure he could have passed me multiple times
I wasn't going to make much headway into those in front so I thought id keep you company (and @ILIV for awhile). It's a long and lonely track when you're circulating by yourself.

It really needs a large grid of cars to bring the track alive.

And you weren't doing too bad either. Nice lines - well some of the time anyway. :D

Wait, so it's not that my car had better straight-line speed on the long straight, it's more that you just slowed down to let me get in front?

I'm gutted! I thought it was actually doing something.

Nice lines - well some of the time anyway.

"SOME" is definitely the operative word here. But, I believe I did two of my four laps cleanly without hitting anything. I'll know more after I watch the replay.

EDIT: Did anyone go all 4 laps without going off track or bouncing off a guardrail?

Thank you, Sick! What a fantastic drive from Stirling.

The Norschleife just seems to breed legendary drives/drivers, doesn't it? I had to think of Jackie Stewart, who won in F1 there in 1968, a race that should never have been started due to atrocious conditions. Nevertheless, it did, and Jackie outclassed the entire field with a masterful drive and one of the best examples of wet weather driving to date.

Guys, how did you get S rank. I am in the A 42-47 % range for few months and can't get out there. If I have 100 % clean race, my rank usually increase by 1 % (or don't increase at all), if I have some warning or contact rank degrease by 1-2 %. Doest it mean I should have 53  100 % clean races to get into S range?

As you're probably accustomed to by now, here are the replays of yesterday's stream:

Qualifying: I have to scold myself for this one :ouch: I'm on course for a 8:45ish lap, but manage to push too much in the very last chicane before the pit straight. Contact with the wall invalidates my current and next lap, and I have to start the race from the back. Bummer! :scared:

Race: But hey, let's be positive! Starting from the back of the grid means there will be some wheel to wheel racing, before the field spreads out in the vastness of the Eifel mountains. And I wasn't disappointed: Trying to make up some positions, I brake too late for the turn 8, the GP track hairpin, and almost run into the back of @ILIV. This causes me to spin into the gravel. Probably looked good from @IfAndOr perspective right behind me ;) I then catch up to @slthree, who is making his car as wide as possible, as is his right in this fight for position. I get a little impatient, but the track is narrow and I don't want to cause a collision. Great fun following somebody closely on this circuit! :D At Flugplatz I witness the aftermath of what must have been a high speed collision between @John Wells and @IfAndOr. Next, I meet ours truly, Mr. @Sick Cylinder himself, and we do a little brand promotion, showing off our Bentleys in the afternoon sun, until he makes a mistake under braking at Wehrseifen and I slip by. From there on, it's quite a lonely race, and you can see my concentration draining lap after lap. Mistakes keep creeping in and I put the car in the guard rails a couple of times, which explains why there is no rear spoiler on my car at the finish.

Congrats to @AndreasR for winning the championship in convincing fashion! :gtpflag:

After watching the old movies of the races I see what @Don Mejillone was trying to replicate now, the standing start. Running to his car, jumping in, starting it and off he goes. He just chose the toilet as his starting point.

Nice write up again @WiSchmo 👍. With you at the back I was hoping for a bit of a race long scrap but it was not to be. Instead Sean got my attention. :)

how did you get S rank.
I'm not entirely sure Napalm, it just sort of happened while I wasn't watching it. So I don't have any information for you.

Public Apology to Sick primarily and the group as well:

I was in between appointments killing time and reviewing the final table that Sick posted. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had accumulated some points. That is a first for me.

However, as I looked at the table more closely (I had nothing else to do so I was looking at it closer than I normally would) I noticed that I was assigned a specific number and car despite the fact that I was a reserve. I didn't realize that Sick was that detailed his original instructions for this series.

I simply saw that I was listed as a reserve and was happy about that and I saw that I was supposed to drive a reserve car which was the Renault.

I apologize to Sick for not seeing that at the beginning and I apologize to the group for not following the rules of the group leader.

It was not an intentional sign of disrespect. Although this is completely my fault, I simply used the livery of the car that I used in my career mode because it was the one that was defaulted. I should have paid more attention at the outset

That's disgraceful!
Better not tell him I changed my livery then! ;) It did make it easier to spot myself in John's pictures though. Nice shots again John. 👍

Progress and you're heading in the right direction then. Mind you it often helps in racing if you are actually heading in the right direction.

And I haven't said - Congratulations to @AndreasR on his convincing win in the GT3s.

You can get away with that because you are a tenured member and right hand man for the boss! I get away with many things at my company because of my tenure but a new person, not so much.

It did make it easier to spot myself in John's pictures though.

Best thing anyone did this season was when you changed to the blue, blue, orange car. That was beautiful and I spent many a moment staring at those pictures.

And, 100% agree on John. His pictures after each race added so much to the experience.

Thanks we were all, close together at one point, then started making making mistakes, which split us up. No accidents tomorrow hopefully.

Slthree do you know were Sloppy Shades settings are, thanks.👍

http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?62938-Sloppy-s-Fast-Stable-and-Fun-Career-Tunes

The other guy with great setups is called blinkgone or something like that. He's also on that site

the third person I would recommend who's tunes help me when nobody else is could is called Jun Choi. Him, you'll have to find on YouTube. As far as I know he's not a member of any forums

Between these three guys, you will have every tune you could possibly need
