If the race started 1 hour earlier (8:30pm Eastern) would you participate?

I say we do the Cappuccino race first so we can test out how the new performance point system works for the multi make races.
The new PP system is part of the next update scheduled for FEB 18th right? If so wouldn't you want to do a multi-make race like an EVO-STi matchup on the 21st to test it rather than a 1-make Cappuccino race? I'm just saying.

EDIT: or are you saying that because of the newness of the feature we'll probably need more than 3 days to figure out a way to implement it? and in that case we should just plan on doing a 1-make race this Monday?

But for the STi vs EVO race I would suggest power around 350hp.
Also the Subaru IMPREZA Coupe 22B-STi Version '98 should be on the car list.

Yep I agree with what Prophet here has said. Then the week after we should go back to a one-make race and keep the rotation going.

Congrats to Prophet on another very nice victory! I thought I had the speed to keep you in check, which I may have, but I had a couple lapses in concentration.

Next week on my first lap of practice I'm knocking over every sign so that when I establish my braking points they don't dissapear! LOL

Some thoughts for the Feb 21st race.

I did a few laps with a Cappuccino RM on both Autumn Ring circuits and was doing 1:30 and 0:42 laps (this was with racing soft tires), and it got me thinking that maybe we should run the full circuit with a lot of laps or do the small circuit but with multiple 10 lap races with reverse finishing order starting grid.

The reason I suggest this is because it seems like the small circuit will get kinda dull after a while and with multiple short races it would stay exciting.
How about this: The full Autumn Ring (large) circuit is 2.94miles. How about we do 3 x 10 lap races with reverse finishing order starting grid. This will let those people who get dropped connections to get back into a new race. We can also test out heavy damage in a race, experiment with PP, and maybe experiment with a few other things if people want (shufffle match for 1 of the races???). It also lets us get in our typical 100-120 mile evening.

We could do that. The track length is 1.8mi/2.9km though :sly:

Do we want any hp increase over stock? I think it starts out at 71hp and I would approve anything under 100 if we wanted to do this.

And we should test out the new PP feature before trying to use it to make sure it works. But I would either use an '05 or '10 STi depending on weight restrictions.

What's the highest HP you could tune the Cappuccino to? Will test tomorrow.

Track length fixed. 3x20 mile races.

I have mods to get it into the 90hp range. I will have to check later today to see what all I have and what else can be added.

I might be interested in doing the Cappuccino race on Monday. Can't make a solid commitment to it, but if I am able to make it, expect a friend request from me on PSN.

Saw on another thread that the Cappuccino can get 133hp with all mods.
My gut feeling is to make this race free of all HP and Weight restrictions, including RM. Whether we go with 90 or 133HP, its still going to be a relatively slow race won by skill not muscle.

I am fine what ever hp we pick just figured I would throw the idea out there.

Sounds cool with practice/qualifying for the first race then reverse grid for the other 2. As for the laps though I think we should finalize the car restrictions (hp, weight, tires ect.) before setting the laps so we know a bit more about the lap times.

Let's test then chat again tomorrow.

A few days ago I ran a stock RM with racing soft tires and did a 1:30 lap. Only did about 3 laps though. Not sure how much time sport soft tires would add but I wouldn't think it would be much since the car has so little hp and weight.

I think it would be good to shoot for 20 minute races with 5-10 minutes between races to tune. That way we'd still be around 90 minutes max for the evening.

Not sure how that tuning time period would affect reverse-order grid positions.

So I just spent 240,000 Cr. adding every conceivable mod to the Cappuccino. Doesn't seem fair to make everyone spend that much Cr. just to compete in a race. We might need to pick some time of power and weight restrictions.

I don't really have any moral issue with duping a car and reselling it to get the money.

Either that or what, two or three of the Indy 5-lap grinds and there's your entry for buying the car/parts.

good point. plus the last race was around 100,000Cr. and I didn't feel bad about that. It just seem stupid to spend so much money on this car. I dunno, maybe we just keep it 100% unrestricted.

sorry bri-y for not answering your inquiry. i was sick yesterday (and I'm still sick today) with the flu. just wanted to lock something down by midnight last night so people could begin practicing.

Thanks for the updates, benda18. I think I'll be making it Monday, so I'll be sure to send you a friend request over the weekend. Been wanting to take my Cap out for a while, so I'll be looking forward to it!

I'm wondering if I should run a regular Cappucino or one with extra caffiene i.e. the RM Cap. ;)
