If the race started 1 hour earlier (8:30pm Eastern) would you participate?

No feedback for the specs for Monday's STi vs. EVO race must mean we got things bang-on, eh?

I'm not sure about the Eiger. It's a very tight and twisty track with very few passing opportunities. Not to mention that its quite small and has the longest pit lane in the history of the world. I'd certainly suggest not having heavy damage because if you pit for damage your going to lose an incredible amount of time.

I'm torn on this really. I agree with you that the course has some faults, but every time I drive it I enjoy it. The pit issue can't be resolved (maybe we can use the time to work on our taxes???) but maybe the tightness of the course will create more traffic and better racing. I don't know.

On the other hand I'll change the course in a minute if at least a couple people chime in with similar concerns and a sweet alternative course. I juswanna race :sly:

I am as well because on one hand those issues are there, but at the same time there is a level playing field. It's also such a unique track to setup for so I think we should just leave it.

Anyone else totally looking forward to some figure-8 racing with the March on the TGTT?

Click 4 Figure-8 Racing Pron

I'm actually really excited about this car, I barely know the track but I'll work on it between now and then. It'll be crazy because like the Laguna race I'm sure all the cones and markers will be strung about everywhere! Oh and there is a figure 8 :-P

Idea for the March 28th race.

Nurburging GP/F
Aston Martin DB9 vs Jaguar XKR or Lotus Esprit vs TVR Tuscan (or Tamora since that would make both cars 2002 models)

I want to throw something against the wall here and see if it sticks. How would people feel about running a NASCAR event on the Daytona Road course in an upcoming event?

I haven't spent hardly any time messing around with the NASCAR cars yet in this game and I think doing something like this would finally give me an excuse to setup my #?? Juan Montoya Target vehicle.. Not a huge NASCAR fan, but...

As long as its not an oval race I'm for it.

Time to bump this thread since Monday is just about here. :D

I'm not sure if I'll be able to take part in this week's race. I'm scheduled to start work on Tuesday morning at 8am EST. So don't be surprised if I don't show up at Eiger for the race. Hopefully, I can put the '10 WRX STI to good use in the near future. :)

I understand completely CAM. I was up until after midnight last week getting ready for this week's race and was in rough shape Tuesday morning at work.

I've been thinking about putting a feeler out to moving the race to 8pm starting next week. There was originally some desire to keep it later in the evening to accommodate some west coast people but the people who were most vocal about that haven't raced since week 1.

wait, isnt the impreza 22b alowed?
here's a little secret, but don't tell anybody. I just made up the list of cars to include all non-rally cars that either have the words "STI" or "Evolution" in their title. I figured it would be easier to keep track of cars that way.

Now here's the secret part: I doubt anybody's gonna care if you show up in the 22b. I'm probably not gonna notice. Capiche?

Awesome race last night guys. We had some really close racing (NingDynasty won by 0.245 seconds to Prophet/CIAFlux). And everyone finished on the same lap after 65 minutes of racing, except for Metyltest because his dog decided to take a 🤬 in his house on lap 48.

Thanks CAMikaze for stopping by and providing comic relief. I'll be posting results here momentarily in post #2.

Seeking Input for Lamborghini/Ferrari Race

* Monday's Course: Some people have suggested Rome for this week's race to allow for a tighter race. Others have suggested Monza. Both have their positives and negatives. What are your thoughts?

* Starting Time: We're currently starting this race at 9:30pm eastern and finishing between 10:30 and 11pm. Does this work for everyone? If it was up to me (I guess it is kinda), I'd move everything up 1 hour to 8:30pm eastern. It's not a big deal, but it seems like some people are suggesting it might be too late on a work night.

* Eligible cars: Ferrari F1 cars are ineligible for this week's race for a plethora of reasons (GT5 doesn't allow you to race them online except in Ferrari F1 - specific lounges). The only other car that really is questionable would be the Ferrari 330 P4 race car. The PP system is supposed to even up the field but it's hard to believe that a 600PP 512BB or Countach could compete with a 600PP 330 P4. Should we take this car off the list of eligible vehicles also?

Please note I've added a poll to the thread related to this issue.

This sounds very interesting!

Do we have to declare which cars we plan on entering? I was thinking of running my Enzo, but if a bunch of people are going to use it, I'll try something different.

I've never organized a race that required people to declare their vehicles. Frankly I think it's stupid to run races where only 1 person can use an Enzo, only 1 can use a Gallardo, a 512BB, etc. However, this past Monday we had an STi vs. Evolution race and pretty much everyone showed up with STis (except for mikethehockeyfan, who was the sole EVO whip). The racing was still good, but a little more variety in the field would've been fun too.

For the upcoming Ferrari / Lamborghini race I'm going to propose the following: Everyone post up a car that you're interested in using. If 7/8 people are planning on using a Ferrari, maybe some people would be willing to adjust. I for example have both a Ferrari (F40) and a Lamborghini (Countach '88 Anniversary) in mind, and I wouldn't mind racing either one.

In the end though, run what you want :)

You dont need to say what car you will be using.

Rome seems fine and if we get bored we can just have drag races :-p...

Moving the race up is fine with me.

I agree with Prophet on the 330 P4 being ineligible.

I've just noticed several of the Cappuccino folks participating here.

💡 Maybe they were endurance folks first

Either way I'd be psyched to join. Cant wait to see how people fare behind the wheel of more sinister beasts

I'll send a PSN request tonight before my Capps Race.

Awesome! Spread the word, it would be great to fill the ranks a bit more.
