MORE Customization/ upgrade options.

On Forza 4, I watched a few let's play's on Youtube and I must admit Forza looked the better GAME, but not as good in terms of a sim.
exactly my opinion...

GT is the better SIM...Forza is the better GAME

The customization features looked nice and there wasn't a million Skylines either, and there just looked to be a balanced car list in terms of countries where they were made. The AI looked infinitely better than GT5's and the track list was way more appealing to me.
Oh yeah, there's also a livery editor.

in fairness to GT5...Forza 4 has its "repeat" cars as well...especially race cars...where they offer IDENTICAL cars with different liveries as completely different cars...

I personally think the different liveries should be offered as "paint options" when buying the car like choosing between Red or Black...

AI is better but still annoying...i find that they randomly "brake check" for no reason going through the apex of a turn which can really cause problems when you smash into the back of them because they should be accelerating...

That could be easily remedied by not allowing anything chrome to be put as a color on vinyls.

dont like they idea...of not allowing chrome...oh how i wish chrome was an option for decals in Forza!!..

but the way to really remedy it for the most part is to make things distinctive enough that its difficult or impossible to duplicate...

something like the "special cars" have a windshield banner that is not available for "decaling" on the "regular" version so even if they replicate the paint job its easy to tell its a fake...or exclusive RIMS...or an exclusive aero kit that can't be purchased...

Ah my bad, I haven't had any first hand experience of Forza so i'm only going by Youtube video's:tup:

On a very, very limited scale compared to the duplication that GT5 has.

This one i really need to hear you justify...:dopey:

i mean...personally say youre a Viper fan (like myself)...we have this car in GT5 (so presumably GT6 as well)...its a standard, so the Forza offering looks better...but i digress...

wouldn't you also want to be able to race in this car? the 1998 #53 Viper GTS-R GT2 class winner at Le Mans?

or the 1999 #51 car?

or the 1997 Le Mans entry?

only possible with a livery editor..or if PD decides to include them all...which they wont...

or....what about some more interesting ones...these were some i used back in Forza 3...

I implore you to explain to me how things like this are for "children"

I'am talking about livery that you edit yourself not the one's that allready come on race cars. Livery is cool ok; If you want to express yourself that's fine. Thair are more important content to foucs on. And yes I would love to drive those Viper's but sadly thay are standerds:guilty:.

I would like the chance to have different sized wheels, something slightly odd about having a Silvia tuned up and still rocking 15" wheels, I'm not talking about 20" wheels on a Yaris because thats just daft, but surely upping wheels sizes from 15" to 17"-18" seems reasonable.

and while it might not be everyones taste, I feel it would be nice to have customisable sunstrips on the tops of windscreens.

a Livery editor would be a most welcome addition and would produce some amazing results in the hands of talented people and thats if its just in game editing, if they allow you to upload photos from JPGs then theres no end to what people with photoshop could produce

I don't see how Standards being in the game has to do with the thread title. Kaz "confirmed" that most customizable parts would be available for most Standards.

Anyway, I'm happy if we get:

- At least twice the number of wheels.

- Wheel size and offset options.

- Vast selection of discrete aero parts (the ones that you can't tell the difference between the stock body unless you put them side to side).

- Since Paint Chips are confirmed and I don't think the Livery Editor will be in GT6, at least make all the paint chips purchasable through GT Auto.

- Wheels made for the Viper (We had four sets in GT4 but they were kinda ugly).

- Purchasable Exhaust tips without the need to change the exhaust itself.

- VERY important. WING DELETE. I want my Mustang GT with no wing, American Racing Torque Thrusts and painted in dark green. Mustang Bullit 👍

As for performance options, I don't really tune my cars so I don't care. So let PD do whatever they want and hopefully they will give all you tuners the parts and options you wish for.

...Oh, and PD, don't forget to put a more accurate Exhaust sound when changing the exhausts. That would be much appreciated...

I would Love to have a Livery Editor! I would spend hours making multiple racing modifications to various cars. Oh the joy I'm getting of just thinking about it!:) Also, I'd probably recreate some racing model cars that won't be in the game! However, this isn't the number 1 thing I want in GT6 I'd love to have, Just 1 out of many like,
-Body Kits
-Engine Swaps/ Realistic tuning (I was disappointed that I couldn't create a 800hp Supra or Skyline)
-Wheel selection like in GT2 and GT4
-A Team Creator (This kinda goes back to the Livery Editor)
-More LMPs and V8 cars PLEASE!!!
-More Tracks (Bring Back some of the original favorites; Pike Peak Hill Climb, Seattle, Special Stage R11, And I kinda liked Red Rock Valley)
- (Sorry if it's a little Off Topic) Dynamic weather and Time for ALL Tracks! (I want to race Special Stage Route 5 in the daytime, race Trail Mountain at night, and Race Grand Valley in the rain!) I'm surprised they hadn't added that sooner.
Just to name a few. Sorry if I went off topic on a few of my wishes. This is the first actual wishlist I've found.

Indeed.:)

I think GT4 had the best wheel selection of most racing games for its time. And that "Used Wheels" selection was the best idea.

I personally think that GT4's wheel selection is the best one I have seen anywhere.

I never ran out of combinations for my car!

And the highly unrealistic "wheel of the day" feature in GT4 was cracking. Magically scaling stock wheels from one car to fit another! :dopey:

But being able to share stock wheels among stablemates, say, is pretty nice. Then there are all those reproductions that exist in the real world, too.

What I think he meant was that even if a livery editor was included, wouldn't there be outbreaks of immaturity? Think about it. In Call of Duty: Black Ops, nearly every emblem you see involves some sort of sexual innuendo. Now, the GT community isn't perfect, so if there was a livery editor, you might expect to see a few penises and boobs driving around.

Not a problem in Forza.

I'm pretty sure we have that problem in GT5 already.

Oh, you mean ... ah.

The only livery in that post that already comes on the car is in the 1st picture... the rest were custom made in the livery editor.

Are you really that dumb i mean its not forza dude its gt the most i think they should have is sponsor ships and forza has an amazing livery system but forza is a wreck and gt making a livery system would ruine the point of Gran Turismo... So i wont be seeing you pn gt6 haha
So fed up with everyone requsting livery. Like your point Prodigy; some pepole are putting so much emphasis on it. It's not a very important feture that GT needs to improve as game content. What GT needs is to make the cars that you wish were premium into premiums. That's something that would improve the games content. Forza4 is a realy cool game for the content it has, every one love's the livery fine. I wish everyone would Just except GT for what it is. The real driving sim.

So fed up with you condemning a livery editor for trivial reasons. Again, a livery editor isn't going to prevent PD from adding in more cars. And please explain how a livery editor is somehow going against GT's mission to be the "real driving simulator".

Seriously, if there was a livery editor in GT6 and I've been imagining one in it for a while; it would give the gave a lot more play-ability than any of the GT games had in the past. I wouldn't even care if PD kept the standard cars exactly the same as long as I got to customize the paint schemes on all of them.

Also, I can honestly say that I rarely ran into any profanity on FM4 or TDU2 online. I don't think that would be an issue in online lobbies.

I'm baffled by those afraid of seeing something unseemly in a game with custom liveries, and yet they frolic all over the obscenity laden intranets, go figure. But for those squeamish souls, there's a simple answer:

Filter custom liveries (y/n):_

Livery editor is a must along with more flexibility in modifications, Because there is one thing i want to do when GT6 arrives and that is to buy a TVR Cerbera Speed 6 and race mod it and bring the Cerbera Speed 6 LM Race Car from the original game back.

I just noticed something odd about that picture. I'm counting at least five wheels that are shown twice in that image. Did they not have enough wheels modelled to fill out 18 different slots? That doesn't bode particularly well.

What I noticed way back when that screen was released that the rims that are repeated are different in sizes. Maybe they're hinting at the possibility of changing the size of the wheels.

I hope so. It seems likely and it looks like we'll finally be able to choose width as well.

I would like a LOT more tunning and customization options. Even ridiculous big turbos that significantly shorten the engine's life, but give huge power. People like www.pacperformance.com.au now get over 900hp out of an RX7's 1.3 litre 2 rotor engine and over 2000hp out of a 2 litre 20B 3 rotor engine. And their engines are very reliable too!

I would also love to see the option for different rear exhaust tips and mufflers, even if it doesn't affect the sound of the car.

I spend 80% of play time on GT5 tunning cars and the other 20% actually racing, so more parts would definately be welcome!
