MORE Customization/ upgrade options.

All completely pointless for a racing game. :dopey:

It's a car game, not just a racing game. You should be able to make a car the way you want it, if I want a slammed evo with a roof rack, I'd love to have one. Of course, such things shouldn't be high priority, but eventually it would be nice to recreate the cars you want.

here is a thought surely they have deleted the paint chips concept surely I mean really ?

I don't have a problem with paint chips themselves. It's cool that we can paint cars with official colors. But it will not kill PD to add a paint palette of some kind for people who don't want to put up with them.

Add both but if they keep with the same system then someone needs to get shot.

"Is there going to be more car customization options? Are you going to be able to swap the engine or put decals on the car?" - Jordan

Both are technically possible, and we might be preparing it (laughs)." - Kaz

From Jordan's GT6 interview with Kaz, bolded part has me very hopeful.

I believe the last time Kaz made a remark like that was when he was asked about the course maker before they announced it, and we know what became of that.

Yes. I recall him answering a question in this manner before. It's the closest thing to admitting it, but he just can't. That's how I interpret it.

Haha, least bias in terms of Car origins. This is not true, GT5 is missing many Iconic European/American cars, the developers always include more Japanese cars and always miss iconic cars from Europe/USA. This has been the trend with every single GT game ever made, when will they ever learn? I like Japanese cars but I prefer European cars, Japanese cars also look ugly by comparison.
GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT4 were worse.

I'm curious if with GT AUTO, we can add wheel flares to cars. Widening the RGT to make it look like a 911 GT3 WITH front and rear downforce would be a godsend! Not to mention if PD bring back the gold center 3-piece BBS line-up.

I know PD have said that we will be able to customise our cars a lot more than we can in GT5 but what I think they should add is the factory options you get when buying a car from new. These include such things as brake calliper colour as well as more choice of factory rims and colours. Ideally I'd like to see them incorporate the actual manufacturers options when buying your car in the dealership so you can choose not just exterior options but interior too. Notice how in GT5 some cars interiors would change colour depending on what colour the car was painted?

This maybe too much for the PS3 but hopefully they will add some of these features when they get around to a PS4 version.

👍 flares along with some wheel spacers and/or offset rims on any car :D

We need more:
Body kits
Aero dynamic part options.
Sponsor ship stickers would be kinda cool but no liveries this isnt forza.
Driveterrain swaps
a little more tunning options
A little more upgrade parts and options.
Realistic upgrades (like making a rx7 with 700hp like in real life(mainly d1)
NO STANDARD CARS
More drifting options, events, and d1 cars
More tracks

Add what you want no pictures please...
Well said HPIProdigy, agree with you strongly about the livery and standerds. Prefer sponser decals over livery.

Pd birng back gt4 wheel options, give us more performance muffler options, some were hidious in gt5. And on standerds, when fit with performance muffler showcase it on vehicle. No livery please, leave that to the children over at forza. Nothing wrong with paint chips keep them coming.

Ultimately, I'd just like to see most cars have the ability to be built up to 'race mod' spec. GT5 got it good with what we had in the body mods...but

-Need the ability to add liveries so they look like race cars...
-And, when doing the weight reductions, that should change what the interior looks like...no use having a stage 3 weight reduction, only to have the car look factory fresh :-/

This one i really need to hear you justify...:dopey:

i mean...personally say youre a Viper fan (like myself)...we have this car in GT5 (so presumably GT6 as well)...its a standard, so the Forza offering looks better...but i digress...

the 2000 #91 Viper GTS-R/T that won the overall at Daytona

wouldn't you also want to be able to race in this car? the 1998 #53 Viper GTS-R GT2 class winner at Le Mans?

or the 1999 #51 car?

or the 1997 Le Mans entry?

only possible with a livery editor..or if PD decides to include them all...which they wont...

or....what about some more interesting ones...these were some i used back in Forza 3...

👍

I also have a modified drift 350z in forza 4, with a custom made livery made by myself and a upgraded and tuned to drift and even a 350z z-tune. A pagani zonda s race car with the gorgeous livery of gt3 ,gt4 and gt5 .

I still believe gt6 might have a livery editor because simply of the sls gt3

oh! and that viper is beautiful specially the team oreca

my point exactly...the livery editor adds IMMENSE depth to the game...especially when paired with other visual modifications (wheels, aero, etc) it really allows you to create not only unique personal customizations, but proper replicas of cars that the game didn't/couldn't include...

for instance...who can guess why Forza includes the Oreca Viper that won Daytona...instead of the car that won its class at LeMans?

well with the livery editor it doesn't matter that the car was sponsored by "PlayStation" and "Gran Turismo" because i can drive it whenever i want...

I'm also a Viper fan and I miss this car so much. It was my favourite in GT2. Every new iteration of the game I hope for this car to return. That's the main reason why I want a livery editor.
Also, that is the 1998 #53 car that won at Le Mans. Just a heads up.👍

there should have been another picture in there with the 1999 #51 as well 👍 but im not gonna post it and clutter up the thread anymore lol especially since the livery is near identical (i have both in my garage in FM4 though :sly: )

I wasn't too bothered about a livery editor if i'm honest, but now for some reason this is very close to the top of my list for things I want GT6 to include. I would love to be able to replicate the Top Secret liveries.

However, perhaps PD are a little reluctant to add a livery editor as it means people would recreate the crome line and stealth specials, meaning PD wouldn't make as much money from DLC's should they choose to release these for GT6 further down the line.

Possibly. Although the easy answer is that they should be selling us new cars as DLC and not new liveries on cars we already own. Or race mods of cars we already own. Or paint chips. Or...you get the idea. :)

It should at least have engine and transmission swaps. It is done in racing all the time. For a game that prides itself on being a racing simulation, I can't believe it is not in there. I thought GT6 Demo was a waste of time to be honest.

Hopefully GT6 delivers or I'll go give Microsoft and Turn 10 my money. Hate to say it, but Forza 4 was a much better game than GT5.

Yeah, engine swaps would be great, as would transmission changes, but I doubt the former would be happening anytime soon, or at least with a decent amount of applicable cars as PD will encounter many licensing issues and things of the like as some manufacturers won't appreciate having their engines in another manufacturers car.

On Forza 4, I watched a few let's play's on Youtube and I must admit Forza looked the better GAME, but not as good in terms of a sim. The customization features looked nice and there wasn't a million Skylines either, and there just looked to be a balanced car list in terms of countries where they were made. The AI looked infinitely better than GT5's and the track list was way more appealing to me.
Oh yeah, there's also a livery editor.

That could be easily remedied by not allowing anything chrome to be put as a color on vinyls.
