I feel ashamed, I feel devastated, I feel... The worst 2 weekends ever. Rest In Peace Marco, you are one great rider and will never be forgotten in the world of MotoGP and motorsports. May God bless his soul..

And as a Malaysian, I'm in part with the disrespectful fans want to apologize for the booing and noises in a critical possible time.

Rest in Peace Marco, the thoughts of the whole senamic household go out to you and your family... You will be sorely missed.

When Dan Wheldon died, his accident shook me. I didn't really understand why until now. I wasn't a fan of Wheldon, and I won't insult his memory by claiming that I was. But I was - and still am - a fan of Marco Simoncelli. He had a real personality about him; he was exciting and quick, and he was a breath of fresh air compared to the likes of Casey Stoner. But mostly, I liked him because of his hair. I have never seen a racing driver with half as much hair as Marco, and it always amused me a little to wonder how he managed to fit it all in his helmet. Not knowing much about MotoGP at the time, it was just that one little element about him that made me support him before anyone else. It seemed silly at the time, but now it seems strangely important.

He will be missed.

What a tragic loss of an incredibly talented rider who was likely to achieve so much in the future.

I feel very sad and sick just thinking about it.

I'm watching the rugby here, so can someone tell me what the crash was like? Did he highside, or lose front end?
R.I.P. Marco. :(

I feel bad. Once again, me as a Malaysian, in part with the disrespectful fans want to apologize for the booing and noises in a critical possible time.

I'm surprised still some of the fans know nothing!

He dropped it on the apex of either 10 or 11 I think, Edwards and Rossi rode over him. The impact ripped his helmet off. Rossi unhurt, Edwards dislocated shoulder. I just hope that people have the respect to remove videos of the accident.

RIP Marco. Thoughts with his family and friends.

Can't imagine how Edwards or Rossi must feel after being unavoidably involved either.

Terrible few weeks for motorsport.

I just can't believe it. A week ago he was standing on the podium in Australia.

He was the guy I looked too first at the qualifying results to see where he had popped up, he was the guy you knew was going to be spectacular on track and he was the guy you knew had another world title in him.

After moto2 last year and now this, I just don't know if I can watch this stuff anymore.

My thoughts go to Colin Edwards too - you could have done nothing more, so I hope you don't suffer thinking you could have.

He just went over, and tried to pull it back up instead of letting go, and it looked like he was about to make it, but then Colin Edwards was right on top of him, and Simoncelli was hit square in the back. His helmet was torn off and he was lying motionless in the middle of the circuit; Edwards and Simoncelli's bike wound up on the grassy verge just after the corner.

A true character lost far too soon. Feel quite sick, felt that way as I feared the worst, watching the replay only made it look worse, as they often do.

R.I.P Marco :(

No doubt a champion in the making, and at just 24 years of age, that is just too young to go. A huge talent, again, taken from us. This is a dark week for motorsport. Rest in peace, Marco.

I couldn't imagine what Rossi and Edwards would be thinking now after they were involved together in the accident. This is tough!
